This place has the feel of an authentic family run, true Italian restaurant and the food was amazing. Everything from the fresh bread, to the salad with house dressing, to the entrees and finally the chocolate mousse cake. We moved to Fort Worth a little over 3 years ago and I feel cheated that it took this long to find this place. They have the best Italian food we have found in DFW. No exaggeration. I highly recommend the house dressing on the salad. It's a light tomato type vinaigrette. And the entree, Chicken Cariole(?). My wife had the Chicken Jerusalem. Both were excellent. Prices are very reasonable. Service was good and the food was out in a reasonable amount of time. I was actually surprised that they were not busier on a Friday night. We took my in laws out to dinner last Sat night and to look at Christmas decorations the whole place was decorated so nice! The meal was very good! We planned to eat in downtown Roanoke, but there was a festival happening and the streets were blocked off. No parking. So we left and drove by Italian Bistro. We were treating our granddaughter to dinner and she wanted Italian so we decided to try it. Our experience was fantastic. The ambiance has a New York vibe. My husband ordered pizza which he loved. My granddaughter ordered chicken piccata and said it was good. I ordered sausage pizziola and it was so delicious. They serve one cab and one Chardonnay by the glass. More options by the bottle. I ordered a glass of the Cabernet and the quality was beyond the price. The server was attentive and kind. The owner stopped by to check on us several times. What more do you need? Oh, this place has my heart. We've been coming here for 20 years. My husband and I have done many a date nights and lunch here. He compares every single lasagna in the world (literally) to theirs. Still haven't found one better. I get tortellini vodka or chicken parm or balsamic chicken and I love them all! Get the dipping oil for the bread, it's yum! Say hi to Bianca or Vinnie (our go to staff)! Try the house cab, it's good and reasonably priced as well. If you can catch the live music, you are in for a treat. He sounds like Frank Sinatra. Just not that good. We should have listened to the previous reviews. This review is based on what we ordered. Received the complimentary bread.... Was cold and hard not warm ... appeared to not be fresh. Next the salads arrived all 4 got coffee dressings and they all seemed very heavy w watery salad dressing. Next all of us ordered past dishes. They all seemed like frozen pasta that had been thawed and reheated. Tortollini Vodka very gummy and not much flavor. Spaghetti was average at best not much meat sauce on it. Next was the Spaghetti special w meatballs/ Sausage. Meatballs ok sausage didn't have any "Italian" flavor. Last pasta dish was fettuccini Alfredo w ham/ broccoli. We added chicken for extra protein. This dish was very watery and not really edible. Had literally 3 clumps broccoli and no noticeable ham, the chicken was white and tasted like boiled chicken. Service was slow , they were not busy. Overall average service nothing special. Just tasted like "cafeteria" level Italian food with no flavor. Many steps below Olive Garden. read more

So my son decided to get a dish from here, that a friend had previously brung us from what (I'm now thinking it can't be!) this restaurant. It was an entree with chicken breast stuffed with REAL crab meat. With a pink sauce with portobello mushrooms and angel hair pasta. Three meal we had brung to us had even a decent salad and great rolls. This particular time I came in to get it for him for his birthday dinner. What I received wasn't ANYTHING like mentioned above. I was confused and called to inquire, the guy told me that this was in fact what I was looking for BUT it was evening and they prepared it different, this time there was no angel hair pasta which when ordering I asked and paid an extra 1.00 for and didn't get it out it wasn't prepared how it initially was. It was served with some sort of marinara red sauce in a separate container the chicken was stuffed with a crab like substance that wasn't REAL nor a decent amount. I got home a realized that there wasn't any garlic bread, so instead of driving back I called back and the guy who must be the manager/owner because this was our 2nd time speaking offered to have them delivered, which was an AWESOME thing to do! What I would like to do in the far future is go back and hopefully with the exact name of the dish my friend brought us initially and have that dish. read more

One of my favorite Italian restaurants!! The fam and I went for a late dinner on a Saturday night after taking in the Christmas lights displays. We were hungry and thankful the restaurant is open later. It's been a number of years since we've visited. The entrance is moved to the opposite side of where we remembered. There is ample parking and the restaurant is large and clean. The staff is always kind and attentive. There was even a performer singing that evening. We ordered the pasta trio, calamari and baked ziti. The pasta was fresh and delicious. The calamari was crispy and flavorful. We used to frequent the restaurant when we lived closer to the area. There was a guitarist/ singer and it was pleasant. The first guy in a long time who knew the volume didn't need to be ear piercing. This is a solid 3.5 mom and pop Italian place. It reminds me of my hometown Napoli's. Very similar menu options. I always love a pink sauce pasta. So I got the tortellini Michael Angelo. It's good. I had a pineapple mojito, it was very light tasting. Not strong in alcohol or the pineapple. I had a strawberry mojito my first time here years ago. I think that was tasted better and was in a hefty glass too. I sampled a friends italian margarita. It was a beautiful drink and strong too. I think their margaritas are a bit stronger. We had a couple of pizza for appetizers for our large table. It was simple but good. Thin crust. Overall, good restaurant. They've expanded over the years and it looks nice. read more

I called ahead and ask if they had a HH and was told 4-7 everyday but Sunday (thought that was weird because usually it would be everyday but Saturday ) we went anyway based on reviews. I was correct and no HH on Saturday or Sunday but the drinks where reasonable and the Bartender was great! I had a Manhattan and hubs had an old fashioned (8.00 is a good price for those kinds of drinks) Owner stopped by and help us pick out our entrees and they where all delish! I got a sausage and meatball dish and hubs the veal parm. All the meals come with house Salad and bread too! The owner even brought us a tomato caprice app on the house. Eh, stopped in on a whim and it was just so-so. Ordered the fettuccine primavera and asked for meatsauce instead of marinara or oil/garlic. The salad was served, leaf lettuce and cheese with dressing, the lettuce was pretty wet and they failed to rinse all of the sand off- strike 1 My pasta came out w/o the zucchini (as described on the menu) and had red bell peppers instead- strike 2. The sauce was a combination of oil and garlic and marinara with a chopped meatball tossed in. Strike 3. Again lots of water left in the pasta and it was overcooked to create an oily, watery, chunks of meatball with a smidge of marinara mess. The waiter did not come back to check for a long time. We got the bill and the waiter up charged for the "meatsauce". We won't be back. Oh the rolls were good. read more

Pretty unassuming outside and a broken sign, coupled with dark interior with a severe need of an upgrade almost caused us to turn around and leave. But, se are glad we stayed. The house sines are good for the price. Our meals were each flavorful and plentiful for the prices. Bread was butter was free and exactly worth the price. In other words, glad we did not pay for flavorless stale bread. Actually seemed like something you would buy in a bag at a grocery store. Our meals were Manicotti which was well stuffed and with a sauce that was much sweeter than most sauces I have had. That was actually meant as a compliment because it made it different. Sicilian Chicken Shrimp was very good. The layers of cheese, fresh tomato, prosciutto ham and then the chicken created a flavor explosion that I really liked. Sauce was perfect and the pasta done just right. The shrimp on top were overcooked and mealy. Looking at the crowd around, this is very much a family restaurant with an extensive menu. read more
