Stopped by because I was in the area and hungry, I really have been craving some New York style pizza and being in Texas. It's super rare to find anything even close to real New York style pizza and this hits it on the nose. Came in for just a single slice of cheese pizza, and I'm leaving as a regular. Service was great when we called & only took 10mins of a wait! They were busy too inside but we just picked up today! Greeting was not clear. There was no one attentive enough to ask me what I needed so I proceeded to tell them I was there to pick up a pizza. Not only that but one of the men working there made a joke to me about picking him up, or his friend. Funny but like no dude I want my pizza and you need to SPEAK up. We ordered Joe's tonight togo for a date night with my husband and I, but we didn't end up eating here, and neither should you. From the parking lot, you can see direct into the kitchen. At least 2 staff members were handing food with no gloves, 2 staff members were not wearing masks, and one cook (not wearing a mask, wearing white in photos) came out the front door and touched a whole bunch of public things (including the outdoor handle of the door to the restaurant!!!) and then walked right back in and without washing his hands - started handling food again, without gloves!!! It truly pains me to give Joes only two stars since my family's eaten here for at least fifteen years... but quality now is shockingly bad. Pizza ingredients used to be fresh, but are now clearly frozen/canned. Pizza cheese is bland. Ordered a pizza last week and it was very soggy on the bottom. Chicken Parmesan meal used to be my go-to; while the sauce is still delicious and the crusty bread still crusty, the chicken used is now rubbery. Even the salad ingredients have changed for the worst... we received iceberg lettuce with literally only one tomato. Sad, I have such great memories of this place :( I will say - Joes has always employed high school/college folks. Service has not changed significantly. read more

I absolutely love the cheese on their ravioli so I'll order the kids ravioli to go and dip bread into that awesome sauce. Always friendly. Finally tried this calzone and a Stromboli. The son-in-law went absolutely nuts over Stromboli since it had lots of meat in it. Totally fine to pop in and eat in the casual environment or have delivery or pick up. Do NOT order the crab special. I thought it had tomatoes in it when I first opened the container, but no...it is made with krab that has that gross red dye, not actual crab meat. I don't know if you've ever had hot krab meat but it's weirdly limp and rather disgusting. I found the other review that mentioned this little tidbit after the fact...lesson learned, I'll search the yelp reviews for what I want to order before making a decision. They were nice when I called about it and gave me a credit to use (would've preferred a refund to my card but whatever) so I guess we'll give it another go sometime. I did suggest that they change the menu item name to Krab Special as labeling it "crab" instead is a bit misleading. Not sure if they will, but I tried. ‍ Pizza wasn't bad, a bit greasier than we like, but overall ok. We ordered a small and got what seems like a large but it was our first time ordering so I'm not sure if their small is just huge or what. Made the $10.95 + $2 for pepperoni a little more bearable considering what we got. 3 stars for the decent pizza and no attitude/argument about wanting a refund/credit for the krab special. read more

We've been looking for a new pizza place since we left Maryland! We love a good New York style pizza! So I asked the locals! My team of therapist at BSW rehab is across the street and recommended Joe's!! I had high expectations and Joe's hit all points on my pizza needs list! I got to watch Joe toss and spin the crust right in front of me! What a showman! What a personality!! I could taste the LOVE in the pizza!!! Maybe it is ONE of the secret ingredients to this awesome pie!! Perfect thickness or should I say "thinness"! Savory red sauce, savory disks of pepperoni, and the perfect chew of 100% cheese! I was almost ashamed to put Parmesan and pepper flakes on it... because it was already perfect! I ordered a half double pepperoni and half spinach Alfredo! The Alfredo sauce was so creamy and luscious! The spinach tasted fresh and healthy! There's lots of tables for families and groups. A nice family dinner table atmosphere! They even deliver! Joe was a radiant soul and took time out to take a "Yelpie" with me! Judy took the pic for us and Quian cashed me out!! He even helped me schedule my delivery order for lunch tomorrow!! I love Joe's Pizza and usually am not one to comment, BUT when they delivered my pizza they messed up my whole order. Not a big deal, that happens. So I call to tell them and this guy what a complete asshole. I wasn't rude until HE got rude with me.... it's not a big deal about orders being wrong, but when you have poor customer service and treat their costumers like it was their fault that you got their order wrong, then that's when it's unacceptable... don't treat your customers rudely... I don't think the food was terrible. However it was not up to my standards. And I don't feel I have high standards. The salad was nice and fresh. The ranch dressing was nice and tasty. The tomato was very old. Even had dark spots on it. But that's just a salad. The chicken Alfredo was some of the worst I've ever had. The Alfredo sauce it was like water. It would not stick to the pasta it was almost drinkable. And that's very sad. The chicken was not grilled however no where did I see it stated that it was grilled. It was diced boiled chicken. Sorry for not giving a great review. Because usually I really do try. That is why I went ahead and gave them two stars instead of just a single. Because it wasn't to my standards of pasta. Tried this place again since it used to be such a staple of my childhood. Unfortunately the quality has severely dropped. Cheese is cheap and greasy, you'll need a napkin to clean it up unless you want heartburn. Toppings are frozen/canned for sure.
