I went there for the 1st time this Saturday. They serve by the slice as well as whole pizzas. The items in the window looked delicious. I told the gentleman behind the counter it was my first time visiting. He was very friendly and asked me what I was looking for; a slice, or something else. I told him I wanted a slice and made my selections, which were to go. The slices are large, and the toppings plentiful. I ordered a pepperoni pizza wheel, a slice of everything and I think pepperoni and sausage. They were heated quickly and boxed to go. I also got a slice of plain cheesecake. It was great. When I got home, the pizza wheel was still piping hot, as it was wrapped in foil. The slices were very warm. I was disappointed because I did not taste garlic, oregano, salt, basil or much flavor aside from the actual toppings. Is that traditional in a New York pizza? The cheese was chewy, which was great, and the crust was crispy. I will go back again, because they service was great, and I want to try the pastas. I don't think I'll try the pizza again though. Really, really mid pizza. I got a cheese pizza and garlic bread for delivery, which came reasonably fast, but the food was not good. The pizza had very little sauce, and not a ton of cheese, then the crust was pretty plain boring crust. Not a pleasure to eat. The garlic bread was just a small loaf of bread that seemed to have a small amount of butter (maybe garlic butter) on top but could hardly taste garlic. I ordered takeout for dinner as I was solo and was too lazy to cook. I opted for the mozzarella sticks and veggie calzone. The mozzarella sticks were quite average- as in I could buy these at the grocery store and heat them up in the air fryer. A little bummed. The calzone was large and full of mozzarella and ricotta, along with vegetables. What I really appreciated was that the veggies were stick crisp, so they were very fresh. I've waited a few months to simmer over what happened here, and finally decided to write my review. My partner and I have been regulars here since we moved in the area 3 years ago. We visited at least once a week, and enjoyed their dishes and prompt service. The last time we visited, we arrived at 8:28 pm, knowing that they close their doors at 9:00pm. Upon entering their restaurant, we proceed to place our orders and the owner (Gazim) blurts out that their dining room is closed and they are only doing to-go orders. The sign on their door clearly states they close at 9:00pm, and it states that also on Google. I felt taken aback, and told my partner that I wanted to go somewhere else. Gazim then back-pedals and said we can eat there, but only if we ate fast. Is this how you treat loyal customers? We ordered a pizza to go, and after this incident, I will never spend a penny in this establishment. This is one of my favorite pizza places in the DFW area. With previous times, I've always ordered some of their (Large and above) pizzas that are reasonably priced for the quality and quantity I receive. This time I went with coworkers for lunch. We had a pretty sizeable group (7 people) and all of us ordered a variety of items. With my familiarity with the pizza, I decided to go with the lunch special of 2 slices of a pizza + a drink. It was relatively cheap and came out to ~$11. I ended ordering a slice of Florentine and Veggie Pizza. I didn't see Veggie Pizza there so when I asked about it, the employee offered to make it. Not knowing what to expect, I agreed. Our group received our orders after about 15 minutes. One member had to wait a little longer than the rest of the group who either ordered a sub or pizza because he had ordered a calzone. The portions I received were huge and I was pretty full after I ate both slices. I'm a huge fan of their sauce and crust so in terms of taste and flavor, this was much needed. There was a nearby soda station so I grabbed some water from there as well. Drinks are included in the special and they have a variety of drinks to try from. If I wasn't full, I would have been tempted to grab a slice of cheesecake or cannoli. The portions for all items for my colleagues were quite massive so in terms of quantity, this was much needed. I'll definitely be back here, and maybe be a little more adventurous to try a calzone! read more

There are any number of places in North Dallas with better pizza at lower prices - including Papa John's among others They charge a 4% fee for credit cards, which if it was disclosed on the website, I didn't see it. Ok, so first I want to say I wanted to love this pizza given the reviews, but I didn't find this to be a good "NY" pizza. Personally, I want to bite into something that is so cheesy, with a bit of olive oil...this pizza doesn't come close. I also ordered the "garlic" rolls after reading a good review on the garlic "knots." They were doughy without a hint of garlic. Sorry, but I'll keep trying to find some authentic pizza.
