Cute bar where locals hang out
    Mark B.

This is a great spot for a great pizza with a wonderful price and outstanding service. Very casual yet delicious. The wood fire oven with the amazing crust is a beautiful harmony. The owner is very sweet. I've been coming here since I was very young and the pizza is still delicious . Love the way they've grown too. Super cute New York vibes with you being to order by the slice or a whole custom pie. Love the way you can order via phone as well and come in and pick it up. Their tiramisu is my families favorite. Really love this spot. 10/10 great for family night. They also have TV's with sports on them.

Chicken parm lunch special for around

Nice looking place, surprisingly classy with a nicely stocked bar/wine area. Very clean interior and friendly service. I was a bit confused where to go at first because I missed the seat yourself sign. So I ended up ordering and paying at the counter first. I got the chicken parm lunch special for around $14. The chicken was thin but not too thin, breaded well so that when you cut off a bite, the breading doesn't fall off. It cuts easily with a fork and is juicy and delicious. It came with a side of angel hair pasta and a nice roll and some token veggies that included some tasty potatoes. The marinara was plentiful and didn't overpower. The angel hair melted in my mouth. This was a big plate for a lunch special but I ate every bite! While I was eating, neighboring tables received a beautiful Stromboli and a gigantic pizza. It all looked great. Really nice place to relax into a slow lunch! I'll be back to try more menu items when I can. Very nice experience today!

We dined in on a Thursday night but for sure the Veggie pizza "loaded with veggies" delivered! Fresh ingredients and the crust so fresh you can taste to yeast rising... Would highly recommend this place. I also got a Sangria Rose and service was so on point. Good dark vibe and family friendly at $15 for a small pizza.

A cute pizza place . Followed the great reviews and decided to give this place a try and I was not disappointed! I started w the fried zucchini which was a large portion of very freshly fried zucchini . A great appetisers. 4/5 I then ordered the veg calzone which was large and yummy . I am not a big fan of ricotta cheese but overall the filling was yummy . 4/5 All together a really nice place which I will come back if I am in the neighbourhood again

We finally dropped by this place. We had ordered Pizza To Go here in the past but we wanted to eat here in person. It is tucked away in strip mall but very nice when you enter. It has the feel of a small locally owned restaurant We started with The Fried Zucchini that came with Ranch and Marinara. It was perfectly fried. I am a fan of Wedge Salads so I had to try theirs. It was one of the best Wedge Salads I have had had in some time. For entrees, we had the Penne Arabiata. I asked for it extra spicy and they kicked it up a notch. My wife had the Shrimp and Mussels (Pasta Fra Diavlo). It was delicious. We also could not leave with out trying a slice of their Pizza Supreme. It was tasty on it's own merits. We finished with dessert including their Tiramisu and Spumoni Ice Cream. All of it was great. The service was prompt and the food was delicious. This is a hidden gem in Valley Ranch. We will come again.

me and my girlfriend stopped here while in the area she ordered a single supreme slice and a pepperoni slice for a quick bite its pretty good! Great Service! The bartender was very nice! & The man running the register was very helpful. Great pizza! Ive eaten a ton of pizza in my life and this joint hits home :) Reminds me of my favorite spots back in houston. 9/10 Great job yall! Im sure if i get a fresh whole pizza itd be a 10. Next time ;) The style of the restaurant is subtle and quiet. Pizza parlor feel. Noticed the staff keeping the place clean and in order as well. Great job folks! Thank You NYP. -Santangelo Balli Gonzales -Visiting from Houston-

Ordered this pizza and pasta for delivery so can't say anything about the restaurant inside. The delivery was on time and food was all intact. The delivery person was kind and made sure I got my order. The food portions and taste are all worth the price point. The slices are huge and generous portions of meat. Although despite it's name, I don't think this pizza is really anything to do with New York Pizza.

    Lasagna, side salad and bread

I been to this location several times but always got pizza...which is wonderful and a large variety of individual slices. I had the lasagna and side salad for the first time.....it pretty good. Side salad need more ingredients, so I added some when I got home. I would recommend this location and continue to going

My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Monaco is one of the prettiest restaurants in all of DFW. Dark wood and dark blue seating invite you in. The bar is stunning, with back lighting highlighting their drinks. There's also an outdoor seating area, including a wind shield - perfect when the weather is nice. This is a great spot for a weekend date night if you want something outside of Dallas. 1 Star. Service - Everyone was very nice. We were never rushed, all dishes could be customized to order, and I never had to ask for a refill. Nothing but good people here. 1 Star. Food - Let me start by saying presentation matters, and the dishes at Monaco are great for your Instagram or Yelp feed. I started with the roasted oysters. I chose it because the description said the oysters are "topped with bone marrow butter". That, combined with the roasted breadcrumbs, added a nice crunchy and smooth texture to the delicious oysters. For my main, I went with the Salmon St. Harve. This beautiful dish had a perfectly prepared salmon. Soft and flaky, but with a crunch from the skin at the bottom. It was served on top of grilled asparagus and topped with a cream sauce that brought everything together. Delicious. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. It's not a secret that I love Water Street. This is an awesome area in the heart of DFW, and I'm so happy there is an upscale restaurant like Monaco that has amazing food. 1 Star.

I've never had anything that wasn't perfectly prepared, flavorful, and served the correct temperature. And that's what really matters in a restaurant, of course. But the vibe is odd. I can't put my finger on it. It's "clique-y". Every time I come, I walk into an empty restaurant with no host. And it seems I've walked in before they opened. They have lots of private events which are walled off with weird partitions. And they sometimes (according to others I overheard) completely close down for private parties. I don't ask for much. I require very little attention. I grossly over tip. And, yet still I feel very unwelcome in this restaurant that I have frequented several times. I don't get it. The other customers were very nice to me, but the staff seemed annoyed by my presence. It's bizarre. Anyway, the food alone earns them a top rating. Pro tip: Do NOT sit at the bar. My husband and I walked in 15 minutes before the restraint closed, and we were met with a smile from the greeter. No one rushed us, no one complained that we were coming in at the end of their shift. There is not even an official vegetarian entree on the menu, and the staff seemed genuinely flummoxed by the request. I could see the team having a pre-service huddle which the hostess broke away from to politely state that they'll be opening shortly and completely understood/appreciated it. Needless to say, more and more early birds showed up and eventually the seating began but that was a painfully slow process as it seemed minutes went by before the hostess returned to seat another party. Finally, she returned and said 'oh - I didn't know anyone was still waiting as she - another co-worker that was lighting candles - didn't tell her. Hmmm! Should the hostess be at the hostess station to greet guests as much/often as possible at all times? The hostess is pleasant and seats us at a nice table. A large party of six gets seated nearby soon after us and although our waiter, Gerardo, took our drink order it felt like they became his focus from that moment on. A young gentleman came around asking if we'd like oil and balsamic without out saying it was for the bread that would be served. I had to ask him if we're getting bread to which he replied yes. We sat with our drinks waiting a long time for the bread which I had to mention to the waiter - AND FINALLY it arrived. It was delicious bread as we're the meatballs - which were unfortunately luke warm. (I wanted to tell them but I try not to be 'that guy' so we ate them before the cooled down any more.) Our caesar salads arrived soon after and I can say they were not remarkable - just another caesar salad that will quickly fade in my memory as 'okay'. I'm not a foodie by any means but do enjoy good food when I can and truly believe that the service can make or break even the best meal - and I have heard so much about John Tesar so I was definitely expecting more that just 'okay'. My filet and my friend's skirt steak finally arrived after a prolonged wait - one of the servers again came to the table with fish plates that weren't ours. (Earlier he also brought 2 burrata plates prior to our salads which makes me think our waiter messed up as we had to wait a while after that to get the 2 Caesars in front of us.) The steaks, peppercorn sauce, asparagus and pureed potatoes were delicious. I like my steak well done and it was cooked perfectly and yet so easy to chew. So the main course was a success but it's hard to overlook the service - especially when we could see/hear a female waiter taking care of an older couple nearby with great care and enthusiastic attention. A party of 4 got seated before we left and again she was quite good relative to our experience. I'm not trying to say it was our waiter (and hostess) as I believe a restaurant is only as good as everyone - from the hostess, bus boy, wait staff, bartender, chef, etc. I had high expectations as I stated earlier since this was a John Tesar restaurant but I know that the one at the Beeman near SMU in Dallas closed and heard from acquaintances that the food and service had been going downhill there. Take this all for what it's worth but if you have a reputation/brand you need to constantly deliver on it. And if you're inside a Ritz-Carlton property - you better be the frickin' best around!
