Perhaps I'm missing the boat on this on how difficult licensing in this town. Why not having the bulk sales of their margaritas wouldn't be a huge shot in the arm on the bottom line. First, the food is always delicious. In all the Mexican restaurants I have eaten at. I have never tasted steak fajitas the way they season them and make them. The chicken and shrimp are also delicious. Every bit gets eaten at our house. We have eaten at the restaurant before and the staff was so nice and it was very comfortable. Nothing fancy with the tables and chairs. The staff has always been very helpful. We regularly get the takeout and always order extra so we have some to eat for days. Well, I've been wanting to try Fajita Pete's in Carrollton for a couple of years and finally made it happen today. My husband and I were not fans. I really don't know how to describe the food, except to say it was odd. The shrimp fajitas tasted like they were made with canned tomatoes, and the flour tortillas were just awful. They tasted like burned lard. The salsa and chips were so-so, along with the rice. There wasn't much to the beans, as they were just a pudding consistency. My husband said the beef taco was "interesting," and the enchiladas were not good. This meal cost us around $50. Fajitas were my favorite Tex-Mex dish growing up as a picky eater so I was excited to see that there was a local place that specialized in them and decided to try Fajita Pete's. The counters were covered with to-go orders waiting to be picked up and I could see the fire in the kitchen kick up in an otherwise empty restaurant when I entered. I bucked the trend and ordered the combination fajitas for 1 ($~16) to eat there. The staff was very attentive and gave good service for a place that seems to do most of their business to go. They even hooked me up with some metal tongs unprompted so my plastic fork wouldn't melt on the fajita skillet. Nice! I was thinking the price might be a bit steep when I ordered but didn't realize that the fajitas came with chips and salsa, guacamole, and a generous portion of cheese so those thoughts passed pretty quickly. I ended up with 3 fully stuffed Fajitas. It was entirely too much food for 1 meal that covered the entire 2 seater table for just me but pretty good overall. I just wish the for 1 portion was a bit smaller at a slightly lower price. The chips are the thinner side and very lightly salted (which I actually like) and I was missing lime slices which didn't think to ask for at the time but I think they actually make some pretty good fajitas. Fajita Pete's seems like a great option for anyone who wants to order in for the night and unique enough to be worth checking out at least for the novelty. They do have a limited menu of other items like burritos which are likely more reasonable when ordering for one but how could you not order their namesake instead? read more

If you guys changed over to like the nacho chips Dallas Tortilla Factory sells or find out from Zocado's Tex Mex down the street on Hebron in Carrollton where they buy their delicious chips this would make the food experience much more worthwhile at your place. The chips you currently serve are so off putting & the good salsa ya'll serve just does not taste good with a thin crispy terrible chip....please change over to a more Authentic thicker real corn tortilla chip so that it real brings the meal together!!! Fajita Pete's fajitas, tacos and salsa and chips are THE BEST IN TOWN! First, their namesake fajitas... we ordered beef and it came flavored and tenderized on a bed of sautéed onions and peppers. The beef was so tasteful, so tender, so juicy that we ate more than we probably should have. When you try them you'll understand. The onions and peppers were the perfect consistency and became the perfect companion to a bite of meat. The tacos... oh the authentic fresh made tortilla, the fajita meat, pico de gallo. An AMAZING taco. So fresh, so flavorful. And what, one dollar... only a dollar! So glad my daughter didn't want one, I got both. The chips... thin, salty and curled so you can scoop loads of salsa on the chip. And the salsa... here they heat it up and it's almost soupy. But the salsa sticks amazingly well to the chips. I've ordered through Uber Eats twice and the food was fresh and still hot! I ordered chicken fajitas for one the first time and the chicken and steak fajitas the second time. Both the chicken and steak is seasoned very well, it's very tender and its more than enough for one person. The accompaniments are standard fare, rice, beans (charro or refried) guacamole, cheese and pico de gallo, chips and warm salsa. This would have easily been a five star rating but they only give two tortillas for all the meat they give you, I mean come on how stingy is that, and they charge 2.99 for extra tortillas! Fajita Pete's opened a location near me about eight months ago. I went online and decided to order delivery with Grubhub. I ordered half pound of beef fajita's with all the fixings. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food they give. The tortillas are smaller than I expected but still delicious. The meat is very tender and good. I didn't really like the beans and rice. My order came with chips and salsa and it wasn't too spicy. I'm not sure if these prices are available for delivery but they have lunch specials during the week for $7.95, Taco Tuesday for .99 and half priced Burritos on Wednesdays. Right off of Hebron Parkway, in a little strip mall the restaurant looks like a typical hole in the wall fast food joint, until you get inside. It is a very family friendly space, set up for either carry out or eat in with table service. Very simple, butcher block style decor, walls covered with children's coloring sheets, and a menu filled with traditional tex-mex favorites. I couldn't resist their stuffed roasted poblano, with one of their $1.00 tacos. Both were fresh, hot and delicious. The complimentary chips were thin and crisp, with warm salsa to dip, and the dinner came with fresh made tortilla's that were perfect! Service was fast, friendly and attentive. Now their slogan is "fajitas to go" but they actually have a dining room. The decor is pleasant though not fancy. There is a TV on the wall but not in an intrusive way. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They even threw in a free order of queso and chips. While I was waiting, the manager came out and introduced himself. So what did I order? Fajitas of course. I had the fajita plate which comes with rice and beans, tortillas and toppings. The Queso was very good, the salsa was acceptable. The chips seemed to be house made. The steak fajitas were a good size portion. They were nice and flavorful. While I like my onions grilled longer than most people and longer than what I was served, there was a generous size portion of them. I thought the rice was awesome with the right texture and flavor. The frijoles tasted fresh and homemade. Speaking of homemade, that's how I would describe the tortillas. My husband and I went to Nebraska Furniture Mart and of course I turn to Yelp to find something different to eat than the normal fast food places. This place was on our way home and when we arrived, it looked so small and we thought we weren't going to be able to eat inside. By surprise, it was just the right size to sit and eat comfortably. Immediately as we walk in, they are smiling, welcoming, and eager to help you. They asked us to pick where we would like to sit and they would bring chips and salsa to our table. Our waitress arrives with the chips and the steaming hot salsa which I was nervous to try! It was amazing and the it was rich in taste. We had decided to try different items off of the menu, I ordered a quesadilla with fajita chicken, grilled shrimp, and my husband got what they are known for which fajitas. Our food arrives and it all looks delicious and my husband and I are excited to try. My quesadilla was cooked to perfection! The meat and cheese ratio was on point. The shrimp was on a hot skillet mixed with onions and bell peppers and some sort of sauce. I had wanted just grilled shrimp but they were okay. Now, my husband is the most pickiest and most critical about his food. After he scarfed it all down, I asked him what he had liked or not. He went straight first about the refríes beans were authentic. The rice was pretty good and he had liked the chicken more than the beef.
