Asked for my pizza to be made extra crispy and received what's in the photos. Doughy, floppy, undercooked, and unevenly distributed toppings. I want to like this place. But I have been here three times and two of those times I was disappointed with the service. None of the times I have been here the men in the place have been what I would consider friendly. But this last time I had a different issue. First I was charged $15.95 for a cheese pizza. The menu at the door clearly said $14.45. Then I requested Parmesan cheese. Which is given free if you eat in but I was charged an additional dollar. But what pissed me off the most was the guy didn't mentioned it was an additional $1 he just charged my card $16.95. I could have complained and raised a stink but I opted to write this review and decide again not to come back. Which is a shame because the food is pretty tasty. Well this is the second time in a few months that I've ordered a pizza from Joe's and unfortunately, I'm not as pleased as I was the last time. I have special eating requirements and I asked specifically for them to accommodate me like they did the last time I ordered a pizza from Joe's. I asked specifically for extra cheese and sauce and I didn't get it. I asked for very very lightly cooked. Not too much dark brown crust, NO burnt or dark brown bubbles from the cheese. It's not that difficult to do because the last time they did okay. All they had to do was to take it out of the oven a little bit sooner than they usually would have. Apparently they ignored my requests and unfortunately I wasn't able to chew most of the pizza and had to throw it away!! It's sad because I like the type of the old fashioned pizza that they make. I guess I'm going to have to find another place that they care about pleasing their customers. read more

I enjoy eating out and getting good food wherever I go. Joe's Pizza was a nice jewel in the vast space of the garden state. Their food is great. There Pizza is Great. I would liken it to Captain Bobs in Connecticut. Their restaurant was even kid friendly. We had 5 kids and 5 adults. They had no problem accommodating us for eat in service though we were there late at night. Food came out quick and we were on our way. Unfortunately the pics are from the remnants of what was left over. But please trust and believe they will not last long. I highly recommend Joes Pizza. read more

We go at least twice a month, they know our order, when we enter. We get the pizza steak, Fried onions and mushrooms and a couple slices of pepperoni or buffalo chicken. Huge sandwiches, great pizza, I've never been disappointed. read more

This pizza shop here is consistently good. I've been a customer here since I lived in the neighboring apartment complex back in 1990. Their pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and meals are all made in the same way, no matter which of his shops you visit in several other towns. The only downside is that they're not open in Sundays. But when you serve a good product and have a loyal customer base, you can afford to rest on the weekends. read more

Great pizza.... Something about the crust makes it. Or maybe its the favorable cheese-to-sauce ratio. I can't quite figure it out. Also saw they use Grande cheese, which is uber expensive, top shelf cheese - it doesn't get greasy and orange like lesser cheeses get. Can't get a seat in the place at lunch time, but if you do, the cheesesteak pizza and buffalo chicken pizza are must trys. Not to heavy on the toppings so you can still appreciate the pizza. Sausage deserves honorable mention for the unique type they use. Joe's also makes decent steaks and fried items. Even had chicken parm dinners there, and while not as good as Benny's, they're less costly and plenty tasty. For a long time I avoided Joe's because they were cash only, but now they accept plastic payment methods, albeit with a $10 minimum. No delivery (sad face). read more

Was there Feb. 9th Not a very health oriented place. 1st) NO soap in the bathroom and when i told the counter kid this he ignored me! 2nd) After they made my food, The guy went into a backroom and smoked a cigarette.! I We could smell it while eating. 3rd) the plastic ware is filled with the working ends up! that means everyone fingers are going all over the parts of the forks, knives, & spoons that go in your mouth!! all of these things were ignored when told to the couinter kid and i hope you all wonder where do they wash their hands after going to the bathroom or having a smoke. read more

Joe's is one of the best pizza spots in the area. I have been going there for about 6 years and it hasn't dissapointed once. I really like their their pizza, their plain is the best, and also have a lot of good topping pizzas such as buffalo chicken, mushroom and many others. I'm not a fan of speciality pizzas which Joe's seem to have a lot of here i.e. eggplant pizza, cheesesteak/ french fry pizza, BBQ chicken, etc. I go for the classic toppings on a large pizza, so that's all I can speak for here. Their large thin crust pizza is great. The slices are large and thin, reminds me of pizza places on the boardwalk. Just because there's a pizza shop on every corner in South Jersey doesn't mean that the pizza is always good. So when I found this place I decided to stay with it. This is now my goto pizza shop when I'm around this way. I've been coming here now since this place used to be called Veto's Pizza a long time ago. This place is always good, always fast, every time.
