Ryan gave me a quote that was significantly better than some other local companies, and was able to come out and fix it immediately. They promised they'd be there at 7am and be done by 3 the next day - and they held to their word! They came out, relined my sewer, installed a clean out, and covered up the hole by 3pm, even hauling away the big rocks they dug up. They did such a great job that I just hired them to repipe all the plumbing in my crawl space and yet again, they gave me a super reasonable bid and were 100% true to their word. This time a crew of 2 younger guys came out - they were extremely polite, got the job done in the time promised, and cleaned up and were on their way out in a day! Plumbing issues are a massive pain in the butt but these guys do live up to their names - they made the whole thing EASY. Every single employee I have interacted with from Liz in the office, Ryan giving bids, and now 3 other service guys have been amazing - super friendly and kind. This even includes the guy who came out at 7pm on a Sunday to clear the line when I first had the issue - nothing but amazing people work here. I shouldn't need any more plumbing now that they fixed it all, but if I ever do, they'll be the guys I call every time. I HIGHLY recommend Easy Rooter!

I decided to go with "Cured-In-Place Pipe" because it only requires a single hole approximately 2'x4' instead of a trench through my landscaping that would cut very big tree roots since the trench would have been within five feet of four very large trees. Replacing the pipe would also have left three feet of my old (orangeburg) pipe from curb to the city connection, unless willing to pay an additional thousand dollars for 3 more feet. Ryan and two crew members showed up at the scheduled 7 AM time and did an excellent job. Finishing around 2:30 PM after the city inspector approved the work. Ryan and his crew were professional and careful with all the landscaping. They installed a new ABS cleanout, backfilled and cleaned up the work area beautifully.

It took 4 scheduled tries before Hoffman came out to give me a ridiculous $6000 quote. I scheduled the installation, 2 scheduled tries before they came out. Then they plumbed the recirculation pump and check valve in backwards. 2 days later, without hot water, they came out and fixed it. The 12 year heater turned out to be 8 years on top of that. The ironic thing is the old heater was working, we thought we would be proactive and replace it before we had no hot water! I don't know if they treat every customer like this or just Home Depot customers.

At 8:30 AM, Roto Rooter called me again, and I told them what happened the night before and informed them I had someone else coming. The response I received was, "Ok, have a good day." Really, really, really disappointed. And their lack of comprehension landed me with thousands of dollars of damage while we were cleaning up the mess and waiting for them.

After 32 years, my hot water heater finally failed and sent water flowing across my garage floor. I complained and escalated my service request specifically for Van Allen Plumbing, with whom I'd worked many times in the past. Martin arrived in less than 24 hrs and turned off hot water heater's main water and gas lines. He confirmed the 1992 unit was kaput and sent confirmation for a new hot water heater w/all code upgrades required to pass permit inspection. He drained the water heater and swept the standing water out of my garage to create a safe surface to walk on. This was very important, bc I'd just had a total hip replacement and was cautioned to avoid slippery surfaces. I'm happy to report Gabe and Roman installed a new water heater that passed City of Reno permit inspection in less time than it would've taken the other guys just come out to inspect the old one. Once again, Van Allen Plumbing came to the rescue, and I could not be happier!

We regret purchasing from this company and here's why:…read more 1. While shopping here, we inquired about the tax dedications in relation to chronic back conditions. Charlene asked her manager who came out and told us a blatant "no." (I've since looked into this and it wasn't true.) 2. The financing manager told me that the APR was 8.9% if credit was above 700. When I applied, the APR was 10.99% which scared me thinking I fell to an identity theft situation, as we keep our credit score high. The company sent me a credit report which was above 800, where we expected it. I did NOT appreciate him not knowing the financing company's actual rates. 3. Three months after having the tub, we experienced an overheating issue. Called and spoke with Angie who said she would schedule a visit and reach out. She was very nice and informed me She responded with instructions using terms that I was never explained during installation. This was quite confusing to me and I wrote her back explaining how this was frustrating and how I still wanted a visit. Since then, I explored the issue, got instructions from another source and was able to address the issue. I followed up with an additional email with more questions, but received no follow up call. If I could go back, I would have spent more time shopping and selected from another place, but wanted to give local a chance. This company struck out in my opinion.
