Final set up with washer and dryer set up near the wall
    Christine Y.

Ran into issues with our washer after overloading it. It moved out of place so much that the drain pipe in the floor ripped the drain pan out of place. Having had several great experiences with Michael's in the past, we asked them to come out. Scheduled same week. Rob was friendly and walked through how he was gonna replace and reconnect our drain pipe. Sounded good but after all was attached, our washer and dryer were further out from the wall. It looked a little awkward but thought it wouldn't be a big deal. We tried using it as is for a week before calling them back to ask if they could set it up the original way. Kevin came out to redo the drain pan. He mentioned that he discussed our situation with the previous plumber as well as the owner to prepare for the visit. He was friendly, knowledgeable about the newer builds structuring, and walked me and his assistant through how things would be set up. I appreciated the step-by-step so I could understand how it could be disassembled in the future. No extra fees for the second visit since it was a return appointment. Appreciated them coming back to adjust the set up so our washer and dryer was closer to the wall like before. Thank you!

We experienced a nightmare scenario just before Xmas... We had a water line burst in the wall behind our water heater, leaking into our downstairs closet and crawl space. My first call was to Michael's but they were booked solid that Friday afternoon. 1st Plumbing company (Hoffman Plumbing) that was available on a Friday came out and took 1 look at the pipes in the crawlspace, identifying the pipes as Kitech Pex. (Massive recall, fail rate, and class action lawsuit). They stated they wouldn't work on Kitech due to the liability and just left. 2nd plumbing company (RotoRooter) came out soon after on Friday, also identified the Kitech Pex Piping, explained the fail rate and the shortcomings of the design of Kitech that lead to the recall, originating not only with the fail rate but incompatibility with standardized repair methods requiring a full repipe of the home. They left without making any repairs with the hot water off "until they could quote the repipe". I called Michaels back, and got on their schedule for 1st thing on that Monday morning, informing them of the Kitech and "work" by the previous plumbers. They confirmed they could provide a temp solution to get the hot water back on for the holiday but a repipe would be needed. Andy came out on Monday, with temp fittings and a pipe to replace the impacted line. He explained it was merely a patch until the repipe is completed. Andy identified the water damage from the line to the closet, flooring, and crawl.... Recommending Rainbow International Restoration. (A++ crew that worked on mitigation for insurance.). Kent was out the next day the estimate. Luckily we had a crawlspace and not slab but 2 a two story house. Michael's Plumbing provided a fair quote for the work (unlike Roto who was predatory in their estimate by 250%). Their crew worked over 5 days, opening up the walls for access on 12/30-12/31. Returning the next week to install the new pipes. Unlike other companies which said we'd have to vacate while repairs are completed.... Michael's not only installed the new piping, installed new fixtures (might as well update in the process), but they did in a manner that we had running water and working bathroom so we didn't have to vacate. Their team came out after finishing the installation for a little finishing work while their recommended Dry Wall guy worked magic to close and texture the walls good as new. (Kent recommended Don at The Wall Doctor and it was another home run). It was a Griswold Christmas, with expensive repairs, remodel and construction... But Michael's delivered, working over the holidays and keeping us at home (and not displaced) for Christmas. A couple dings on the floor... but considering the size of the work/remodel... almost expected. 100000000% recommend Michael's Plumbing as they are honest, provide great referrals, and know that their worksite is your home.. not a bottom line.

The 75 gallon water heater we wanted removed.

After receiving 4 bids to replace my A/C that died, decided to go with Michael's. They did a great job and a lot cheaper than Sierra

The company sent out a young but very knowledgeable and adept plumber out the next day, who made quick work of removing the old tank, helping me rebuild the platform that was now ruined, and installed a new tank with new piping. I was very impressed with the speed and expertise of the job! While maybe not the cheapest company I received a quote from, it was certainly not as expensive as many of the lower-rated companies, and had the quickest turnaround to my family's hot water back on. Today (six months after the new install), the release valve popped on the water heater and we lost hot water. I shut it down and turned off the water and gas, and immediately called for help. It was 4pm (and I live in Fernley). I had taken a photo, as well, and texted it to them showing exactly what to expect. By 5:15pm, there was a plumber at my door (they made record time all the way from Reno in heavy traffic on I-80!) and they repaired the faulty valve and also repaired an exhaust pipe (from original home construction) that had started bending. All under warranty from the work they had done previously for me. Again, I was very impressed, and I am 100% completely satisfied by having chosen such a reputable plumbing company!

Ira Hansen and Sons Plumbing lied about service rendered!…read more They claimed to have shut off the water & drained our water heater. the problem? the drain broke off the water heater, & the water main was shut off an hour prior to them getting on site. we just requested a quote for replacement. they voided the invoice when called out, but if they lie about the most simple & verifiable things, imagine how much they would lie to screw you out of as much money as possible when you're not able to validate. also fyi I replaced the water heater myself in 3 hours as a complete amateur & it cost $760 instead of the $3,300 quoted. (permits & inspections costs included!)

I knew finding a plumber in the winter, and on Dec 30th, could be a real challenge. I connected with Omega through Yelp. They were the first to reply, and they were the first to call. We were lucky they had a cancellation. They coordinated an appointment with my renters, and arrived within a couple of hours. They were very clear on how they worked and bill for the job. They were professional, reasonable, skilled, and communicative. They completed a drain issue we have been fighting for 6 months. I understand this challenge may return. I hope it does not. At least next time I will know right away the company to call. Thanks Omega!

Junior came to assess the faucet and give me an estimate before beginning the project. As the faucet had to be completely replaced, it would require more time. I made an appointment for the beginning of the following week to make the repair. Junior showed up on time, and completed the repair in a few hours. This was impressive because he had to go under the house and go to Home Depot for an additional part. He was friendly, punctual and didn't leave anything for me to clean up. I am pleased that Omega Plumbing & Heating was able to repair the faucet within a week of calling them. The price was reasonable for such an in-depth repair, and now my flower garden won't have a permanent wet patch next year. I would highly recommend this company for simple or complicated plumbing fixes- in fact, I am going to call them again soon to fix my clogged tub!

UPDATE JUNE 27TH:…read more Sir, you know very well that's not all you did, you guys demanded payment without even assessing my sink first. I HIGHLY doubt you do that when you visit your white client's homes. I was also very welcoming and friendly to both of you. If you guys don't want to work with non-white customers, just add a sign to your business that clearly states "WHITES ONLY". ------------------------------------ ORIGINAL REVIEW: I don't even know how to address this, but here it goes: Do you guys demand payment upfront before even assessing the clogs from ALL your clients? When I opened the door, both technicians looked at me up and down and asked first if it was an apartment and told me they couldn't work here, to which I asked "why tho?" And the sir replied "because you have to let property management know, who's gonna pay?" as if thinking we weren't paying? I mean that's exactly why we called you, because WE WANTED TO PAY TO FIX OUR PROBLEM. Then after telling them that we of course were paying (hello?), before even assessing the clog, payment was demanded, and they didn't start until payment was confirmed. The other guy wouldn't even acknowledge me or respond to me when I made him a direct question. I'm not calling it racism, but it very well felt like I was being racially profiled. Yes, they fixed the problem and I'm very thankful for that, but the experience was very awkward. If you guys tell me that's your MO with ALL your clients and you ask for the payment first before even starting, I'll consider editing rating and review.

They said it was a mainline issue and we would have to find someone else. Based on Yelp reviews we called the Plumbing Doctor and had an appointment the next day. As it turns out the basement doesn't go to the mainline but goes through an ejector tank & pump up to the mainline. It took Dave about 3 minutes to diagnose the problem as a failed pump. He basically cleared the schedule the next day, had the pump replaced and we're back in business. Communicated through the whole process. Even though dealing with sewage in our basement the job was done spotlessly with a very thorough clean up. Pricing seems very reasonable though we didn't shop around. I'll give this locally owned small business a call every time and just skip my home warranty in the future. Much less headache for a reasonable price.
