Joey came to Our Home, as Scheduled, to Replace Our Water Heater AND Install a Recirculating Pump ! I'm Not Sure Why ALL Homes Don't have this Feature, But as far as I'm concerned it is Essential ! Having to Run your Tap FOREVER To get Hot Water for your Morning Shower or to Wash things in the Kitchen is Upsurd and Wastes SO MUCH Water ! ‍ Joey was A Magician at Installing our new Water Heater, Copper Pipes and All, crawling under our home and Making Sure All Went Well He worked Non-Stop making sure all was working properly, even Cleaning our Kitchen Faucet so that the Hot Water Ran Quickly and Without Restriction ! Joey is a Professional and Knowledgeable with a Kind Personality who is a True Asset to this Company ! Also, One of our Backyard Water Bibs needed to be Moved to a More Convenient Location and Joey, Again, did an Incredible Job ! As a plumbing company, these guys are reliable and do a good job, but I am so tired of getting nickel and dimed to death when you go to pay for the work done and they're charging you a 3% to 5% service fee to use your credit card. It's bad enough they started charging travel time to and from your residence. Seems Customer Service has gone out the window and things you used to take for granted as being part of the good customer service and encouraging brand loyalty are now a charge every time you turn around. So frustrating. And I realize the cost of doing business has gone up, however, travel time never used to be a charged and credit card fees were unheard of unless you were paying your balance each month. read more

The service technician Josh, was very professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. He arrived ahead of schedule and got right to work fixing our kitchen sink problem and replacing the kitchen faucet. Mikey did a great job of declogging the drains in both bathrooms, and he left everything clean when he was finished. Long story short, the first service technician doing the assessment tried to pad his hours, there was absolutely no communication from the plumber on the day that the work took place even though I had requested multiple times that he call me to let me know when he was starting and ending, so I didn't even know if the job had been completed that day or not, it took three days to complete the one day job, and it ended up costing almost $300 more than I had then led to believe it would without warning me at all because they refused to give me an estimate in the first place. They get two stars instead of one because, at the end of it all, I believe the leak got fixed and they did a phenomenal job filling the hole back in, you can't even tell that the ground was disturbed at all. Also, their after hours technician, I think his name was Mikey but I could be totally wrong about that, was super friendly, apologetic, and at least got me the service report so I could find out whether or not the leak had been fixed that day. read more

From the initial call to the correction of my issue everyone was extremely professional and courteous. The technician, Tom, who repaired the leak, was very courteous, friendly and efficient. You would think a water heater was a simple request. Well in this town it is not unless you call Savage & Son. Ten contractors, with a price ranging from $2400 (not in writing) to $5500 (asked him to leave without a proposal). All the others do not either know building regulation on water heaters on a existing home, because they all quoted for new construction standards, or they do and really like taking people for their money. Washoe Building Department confirmed that I was being quote for unnecessary work by all the others for a "repair" on an existing home. I requested a simple site visit to have someone camera our sewer line and Kathleen was incredibly rude and not helpful. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and she obnoxiously yelled across the room stating her case against me, presumably to a supervisor, who subsequently would not speak to me on the phone. The reason I asked was because she wanted a CC on file which is fine, however our business requires some type of estimate/invoice/email to let me know how the visit will be charged. We had a very slow running kitchen drain. Tried Draino and the plunger and nothing seemed to work. We had a very busy week, so we did not want to wait for an appointment in a few days.
