We were passing by Joe's Record Exchange while exploring downtown Fort Meyers and couldn't resist checking it out. Nice store, very well decorated with cool vintage posters in the walls and great horror memorabilia. They have a bit of everything: vinyl, DVD-s, memorabilia, CD-s, t-shirts, books, horror mags, etc. Nice resource for the area. Prices are a tad higher, but customer service is good. Closed on Mondays! We could have spend more time in here, browsing through their merchandise, fun place!

Located in the downtown/old town section, this music/collectors shop fits in perfectly with the character of Fort Myers, FL and the surroundings. One of the more pleasant stores I've walked into, the stores selection is quite large with a variety for the size of the store. Also kept clean and in impeccable shape. Aside from records, DVDs, CDs, and collectible items are for sale in this cool store. The owner Joe is friendly and easy to chat with about records and music in general. Pay attention to what he plays in the store, it could lead you to new musical tastes. That's how I heard Frank Frost singing the blues. After digging through the merch, his album Hey Boss Man! is now a part of my music collection. This is a must walk in when you come to Fort Myers. Like the Doobie Brothers once said, Listen to the Music!

Easy to navigate, with an amazing selection. Prices are fair, but the records are seemingly in the upmost quality.

There was plenty of parking with lots of Handi-Cap spaces right in front of the Market building. One thing to mention the sign on the building says Antique Mall, but it's called the Paradise Vintage Market. Once inside all I can think of is wow lots of items for sale. This store is packed full of different venders which have their spaces or what I call Little Stores. Its like a flea market but inside a building. None of the little stores have people inside them. All Items are displayed and if you pick something out you take it to the front of the store to pay for it. Good thing is there is no one to bug you trying to sell you anything. You could spend a couple hours in there just browsing around. It is Air conditioned, and they do have Rest Rooms in the building and for all the items in there its clean and neatly organized. To many items to mention them all but they have anything from Cloths, Furniture, Antiques, Signs, Records, Toys, Dolls, Fishing Rods to name a few. Go there spend of time looking around you will have a blast. I give this place a 4 out of 5 stars. Follow Me On FB For More Fun Gulf Coast Terry

I love that it's all under a roof. Some shops even have AC. You'll find the junkiest junk and the nicest of the nice! The shop keepers seem to stand by their posted prices. My experience was there's not a lot of negotiation room. If you pay with cash, they usually skip the tax but that's about it. Now having said this, I was buying from the 'nicest of the nice', brand new purses, clothes and accessories. Parking is free and abundant. Expect large pot holes in the parking lot. IMPORTANT ADVICE: pay attention to where you came in! It is easy to lose your way and you will spend a frustratingly long time trying to find your car if you don't make mental note of your arrival 'gate'. There's colored lines on the ground. If there's a shop you particularly like, ask for their business card...it'll have their 'address' on it which shows the color of their row and the shop number. MY PERSONAL FAVORITE: ladies, if you like boutique style clothes, look for Designs by Darlene. Red row. Her clothes are off the charts!!! Unique. Well priced. And she has changing rooms. Highly recommend!

What an experience…read more.. I'm a self-proclaimed thrifting fanatic, and I grew up loving to go to flea markets and priced-per-pound places with my grandma. Maybe it was the heat, but this fleamarket just wasn't hitting when I visited. SETUP: You can really get your steps in here! Park and remember where you parked, then head in. Tons of shops to explore - like miles of it - and it's all covered. It's open air so no AC, but many shops have fans and some have AC running. They have each lane color coded on the floor, so you can remember you started in the red lane, then went to blue, etc. We still got lost haha. FOOD/DRINK: There are restaurants and bars here! Very fun to get a beer to drink while you walk. Most of the food was food truck style - pretty greasy and hot, which didn't appeal to us. SHOPS: This was the disappointing part for me. Maybe it's just not my style, but I was bummed to see it was mostly cheap bulk items and poorly made stuff at that. The t-shirt shops were selling cheap, misprinted Fort Myers stuff - but the prices weren't that crazy good? And they didn't have true tourist stores with souvenirs more than just t-shirts. Some of the shoe stores had some decent deals, a few record store scores, and I LOVED the few well-curated vintage shops inside. But otherwise, it was a lot of stuff I happily passed on. Some of the vendors were a bit pushy (the spa/skincare ones) but otherwise most left us be to browse. Even as a fan of thrifting, I found this to be overwhelming and underwhelming at the same time and likely won't be back.

We went ahead and parked when we realized. However, after considerable walking and asking many different individuals, we never found this bookseller. We did have a few people tell us the only place they knew that had books was in the pavilion and we tried there too but only found another stall (different name) with very few books. It looks like this business may be closed. I would call a number to check but do not see one listed.

It has an abundant variety of titles for all tastes and ages, and you can't beat the prices (the owner will usually reduce the total price if you buy multiple books). The place is a little tight when it comes to space, but to me that only adds to its charm. Also, expect some dust on the books and, well, generally everywhere. Whether you're a local or just visiting, if you want to get away from the artificiality of online algorithms when it comes to recommendations about what to read next, give this great bookstore a chance. You won't regret it!
