The lines can be long for inspections, especially at the first and end of the month. There is a line for inspections formed by cones. The experience varies by who you get. Two of the older mechanics have been very nice. I did have on youth in the past who was a bit kurt and may have been having a bad day. The inspection was business like and efficient. There is a small area for the owners. The inspection area is for mechanics only. Tip: Have your registration and cash payment ready. This speeds up the process. There is a sign on the wall with the amount. My mechanic today was Romy (forgive me if misspelled), and he was professional, polite, and efficient. The inspection area is clean, organised, and the floor is well swept. The is a restroom inside the mechanic area. I am not sure if it is still available for patrons. Tip: Use a restroom prior to dropping by. Repair hours, as of August 2022, are 8 AM - 5 PM. Inspection hours are 8 AM - 2 PM. However, on my visit they stayed open past 2 to serve all those in line. This is a good choice and we shall return.

I didn't feel like laying on the cold ground and at my age it was time to let a garage do the work. I took it to Walts for a oil and filter change $75 for 5qts of fully synthetic oil and filter. When I got home I found over a qt. shy of oil and they never changed the filter. The oil on the dip stick looked like used oil. If you treasure your vehicles and you want them to last I suggest shop around. If you have someone you know family or friend that has some mechanical background. Have them look at the work that was done.

A fast tire leak. Without an appointment they took me in right away, as it turns out I had a nail in the side wall. They took me into the shop to show me and I had no choice but to replace the tire. He told me it would be done later in the day but they called me just a couple hours later to say it was done. The car was clean and left in perfect condition. The price was on point and a great value for my money. I will no longer go anywhere else ever! No matter how far I have to drive. Price, honesty and professionalism all in one place! Up until now, my dad has been going there for a year or so, and unfortunately due to his poor naivete is just realizing that he's been ripped off by Bill countless times over the course. Upon doing my research looking up reviews on Bill's before going to him myself for my own car troubles a while ago, I was shocked to discover that this place was sued and fined $116k by Mass Attorney General Martha Coakley and had been suspended for issuing fraudulant passing inspection stickers to cars that had failed emissions control tests for a quick few bucks (Google it). Aside from my dad's contribution, I'm honestly dumbfounded about how this place remains in business. My very first time calling the center, Bill was rude, impatient over the phone and if anything sounded bothered/annoyed that I had called and literally sounded like he had just woken up. From what we've experienced from this place thus far, Bill has not been a man of his word; always wishy-washy and unreliable about when your car will be done. He'll tell you it'll be done tomorrow, and before you know it, you are calling daily until he finally tells you it's done, and it's a week and a half later. After finding out about Bill's legal woes and reading other customer reviews, I can only imagine what other purposes Bill has used my car for other than repairing them. Adding to the list Bill is inconsistent, and shamelessly lacks business ethics and/or integrity; not customer service forward at all and disrespectful in the way he approaches you, even in the way he speaks to you. He'll charge you unfairly - either that or for cheap, and then your car breaks down a week later (I'd know from experience). Most importantly he cares more about reaping money out of your pockets than fixing your car properly, much less salvaging any credibility he has left to his business. I hit black ice and did some damage to my tie rods 3 to be exact. Knowing they were booked solid they managed to fit me and and fix my front end and do alignment . About as good as it gets with auto repair. I brought my Hyundai Accent here a while back with…read morebrake problems. Wasn't sure if it was front or rear brakes. The tech. rode with me patiently in the car to help diagnose it. I don't think most mechanics would have rode with me as long and as patiently as he did, nor would they have the skill to diagnose. I found prices to be very fair and, in fact, less than the dealership. They don't use factory replacement parts, but nowadays, after-market parts are usually the same quality and sometimes better. Although my rear brakes were the problem, I asked about prices for the front brakes. They were very upfront about the fact that when they replace brake pads in a small car like mine, they also replace the rotors. Since these rotors are already quite thin, to machine them down more (instead of replacing) would risk screwing up the whole braking system and eventually costing more. I know garages that would just do as you ask - replace the break pads and machine down the rotors - even to the point where it would become unsafe and cause more problems. This shows me that these guys are concerned about their reputation and will only do a job if they can do it correctly. They also do it at a reasonable price. Does that sound like most auto repair shops you know of?
