Looking for a place to have lunch on a sunny Saturday....look no more. We found this on Yelp. Saw all the great reviews and had to try it out. As you walk in you will find a Pac Man and Pinball game (that works!). The owner explained the menu as we ordered. Very nice and friendly man. We enjoyed a game of Pac Man while waiting for our food. If you want some very tasty comfort food without pretense, you'll be happy. So I'm always skeptical of highly rated fast food places. This place is really good though. One of the best hotdogs I've ever had. The toppings were simply awesome. The chili had just a little heat to it (awesome). I'm not a big slaw person, but on occasion I like it on a hotdog. Their slaw was very good. Ironically, so many southern people like tomatoes, but don't get them on hotdogs. I love tomatoes and order them on my hotdog. They had them here and gladly put them on for me. My gf wasn't as happy with hers, but she likes hers burnt to a crisp. I can't fault them for that. She didn't ask them to crisp it and that was her biggest complaint. We also had cheese fries. They're good. My two criticisms are cheese whiz and not crimping the fries, but they're still good. We ate almost the whole basket. Overall it was a very good experience. read more

We have been wanting to try this place for some time, so today we stopped in for lunch. The owner was running the counter and greeted us. After learning this was our first time in his restaurant he explained that everything he served was fresh and made to order. We wanted the signature Joey Doggs chili dog and he explained the chili had a spicy kick to it, and then offered a sample cup of it to make sure we would enjoy it. I'm glad he did, it was too hot for my wife so she got the hot dog with a melted cheese topping instead. The chili dog was great though. Served with mustard and onions I had ordered a "bowl" so I also received fresh cut French fries along with several onion rings. The food was excellent and served pretty quickly after we ordered. The gentleman who owned the place was extremely nice and accommodating. Joey Doggs offers a lot of variety on their menu and I can't wait to return and try one of his Angus Beef Burgers.
