These guys really know how to make a burger and fries! We were looking for a burger joint and saw this place on Hwy 17 not far from Ocean Lakes and decided to give it a shot. They were closing soon but didn't mind serving us. There were 4 in our party and two of us ordered single burger bowls, one kid ordered a kid's grilled cheese bowl and one ordered a chicken tender bowl. The burgers were hand patted fresh hamburger meat cooked just till done and toppings were generous. All four orders came with fries which were made from fresh cut potatoes (so good!) not frozen bagged fries. My picky eater loved the nuggets and the grilled cheese sandwich had a ton of cheese on it. Have always enjoyed coming here. Waiting over 20 min for 3 Joey dogs and 1 order of fries is excessive. Each order appears to be cooked to order from scratch so it's fresh and establishment is clean, but the wait is a deal breaker for us. We were behind 1 large party, 3 take out orders, and 2 other dine in orders mid afternoon. In the future if there's a line, will pass. read more

I love places like this. The owner Joey ... Shows up for work every day, puts his heart and soul into his place and makes it a warm inviting bite to eat. The whole dog theme is neat and unique, the video games and definitely the jukebox filled with 80s tunes help bring warmth and style to the joint. The pictures on the walls tell tales of many satisfied guests that have crossed his path over the years. I don't know if I'll be back to myrtle beach anytime soon, but I do know.. As long as Joey is around he'll be doing what he loves to do everyday and his customers will be thankful for it. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. We just walked out of there. Only one person was wearing a mask and that 'was the woman at the counter. The gentlemen in the back, I presume cooking were not wearing a mask or gloves. It was going to take 20 minutes to make two hotdogs!! If what you're looking for is a really cool chain restaurant with faux beach/antique atmosphere and a lot of hip people hanging out amazed at how truly cool they are, keep looking. If what you're looking for is one hell of a burger cooked by the owner of a local establishment, then stop on in. The joint is in a non-descript strip mall area and it's easy to miss. I drove around twice before I found it. I ordered a bacon double cheeseburger for myself and hot dogs with fries for my 7 and 3 year old. The burgers are hand patted and fresh rather than frozen. The food is served in dog dishes which caused my 7 year old to question what it the world was happening when the food was served. The burger was juicy and marvelous. I had tomato on the burger and rather than some paper thin slice, there was a huge thick slice of some beefsteak tomato that covered the entire bun. As a tomato lover, I don't think I have ever seen that in a commercial establishment. When my kids were finished, the owner let them look through a candy basket and pick out one piece each. Much better burger than the restaurant which has billboards all over the Grand Strand saying "it's all about the burger." Not the kind of insane variety you'll find there but if you're looking for just a simple, wonderful burger, this is it. read more

They gave me the best hot dog I have ever had in my life! The wait might be long depending on when you come. They serve all of their food fresh, which means that depending on how many people are in the line in front of you, will determine if they will need to cut up more potatoes, make more hotdogs, etc. Even though the wait may take a while, it's worth it. The best burgers and hot dogs in Myrtle! Everything here is homemade and fresh, Jersey style!! Joey himself welcomed us and two other employees explained the menu to us. I thought it was really cool how every time the door opened, there would be a barking sound. I ordered a single patty burger with fries. On the menu it said that it came with fries and onion rings but when ordering, my friend said it was either or. I think that my friend was just confused and misunderstood by the employee because someone else received fries and onion rings with their dog bowl. The burger was good, as well as the home cut fries and onion rings. I would definitely order the mozzarella sticks again because they are absolutely delicious.
