Not only did he fix the turbo for half of what the STEALERship was planning to charge, he also fixed a rip in the interior, a visor that had broken, plus got it smogged for me so I can complete my DMV registration. In total in came in for $100 less than the estimate as well! He was very quick to get back to me with the estimate and offered me a loaner car while mine was in the shop for a few days. I got into an accident on 09/29/2021. I was looking for a body shop on Yelp and I came across Joey's. I went out for bids for work to be done on my car. When I saw there was still a warning light on that looked similar to a broken window, I asked Joey, what's that, he said just drive it & that light will go off... as I begun to continue my list of checking to be sure all was good...went to open the sunroof, it sounded like a crackling window breaking, Joey screamed stop & proceeded to grab the button & close the sunroof?! I then decided had to get my car out of there, I paid him $100 less which now I believe shouldn't have paid him a dime. When I got home, my trunk wouldn't open, not with the manual bottom, or the actual button under the trunk hood..frustrating as hell, only way I can operate the trunk is with a key... Issue: Multiple error codes registered on diagnostic testing at O'Reilly Auto Parts Thank you for the prompt response Joey, you are a godsend!! . I ended up taking it to his shop in Huntington Beach and have resolved the issue in question. Joey's auto body shop responded quickly and stated he could fix the issue for $10. However, once I arrived he gave the vehicle a test start to see if my cylinders were indeed misfiring. Upon conclusion, no further repair was needed after he concluded the vehicle is not in fact misfiring. I took it back to O'Reilly auto parts and had the computer diagnostic test again. The same codes popped up. To my surprise the clerk working said it was not a new error code and it was stored in the system already. He told me a trick to reset the computer so it did not register with the diagnostic testing. He told me to unhook the negative battery terminal and tap it 10 - 16 times and then to check again. After successfully tapping the terminal to the battery anode 10 times only, I went inside to retrieve the computer for diagnostic testing once again, and wha-la no codes registered with the test. In conclusion the vehicle is safe to drive and I resolved the issue at hand by replacing the coolant cap that melted and replaced the coolant with 2 new gallons. Side note: O'Reilly Auto Parts location I used 13933 Harbor Blvd Garden Grove, CA 92843 United States 2 gentleman working assisted me in my repair woes and gave me a step by step guide on what I needed to do to replace the coolant correctly. Recently he performed the "B" service as well as replacing some sensors for ABS, Etc. if you look at pricing on line, you'll be amazed that Joey is always on the lower end of the scale. If you look up cost for Mercedes b service they say it will cost between $380 and $700. Joey did it for $280. First of all I am a single, small, 25-year-old woman so it goes without saying that I dread going to mechanic shops. Every experience I have had at one has been terrible. The mechanics are always changing the prices on me after the work is done, or over charging me for work, and in some cases did not even do the job I paid them for. They only told me they did and later on the problem persisted exactly the same. Until I came to joeys auto service today. I inquired about a quote for my alignment via Yelp yesterday and received a swift response from Joey the owner himself. I was able to schedule the very next day. When I arrived I was hesitant because of my past bad experiences at mechanic shops and Joey made me feel at ease. He guaranteed me the price that he initially quoted and that it would not change. Took me to a comfortable waiting area for my service to be done and when complete explained everything to me. He did not brush me off like most mechanics because I'm a woman and do not know what I'm talking about he took the time to explain to me what he did and gave me paperwork confirming the work done. Scam. I got into an accident and I chose Joeys because he is a "Bmw and mercedes expert" him and his team buy cheap parts and charge insurance the fullest amount they can milk out of them. For fake and cheap parts. He also replaced my headlight for free because 2 days after I got my car from him and went to the carwash my entire bumper flew off.. crazy right? And then he didn't replace the bottom of my bumper until insurance "paid" for it.. although they already paid for it. Him and his team also took my headlight cap off and caused water corrosion costing my almost $2,000 at another shop which are ACTUAL "experts" and they showed me the water damage and allowed me to take pictures. When I went into joeys shop he said "its old" after I showed him the images of the water corrosion. Joey doesn't care about you or your car only their money. I suggest going to an honest mechanic. The other shop also told me he didn't place the sensor or bumper correctly. His entire job is horrible. Don't recommend unless you Don't care to pay hefty amount of money for a horrible job. Joey also said "its human mistakes" to my bumper breaking off at the wash, him taking out my headlight cap and causing so much damage to the module, not placing the camera correctly. So much more! Don't recommend. I would give a 0 star if i could, he also has no compassion for any of the faults he causes. I did some extensive research and was very fortunate to find an awesome mechanic. My classic 1991 Lexus LS400 has a very difficult wheel alignment issue and Joeys Auto did a great job the first time. In the past, other shops would say the wheel alignment was done until I drove a few miles and discovered my steering wheel was still cockeyed. Joey and his technicians must be perfectionists because my steering wheel has never been so level for years. It's like new again! I would like to say this is one of the Most honest places for vehicle repair. I came in at 9:15 am for my appointment to replace the front brakes. The guy I presume Joey greater me and too the car right away to the lift. He said that he'll have it done in an hour and I'm more than welcome to wait. I sat down on the bench out front of the office and 10 minutes later my car was pulled up. He explained that the brakes have a lot of pad surface still and the rotors are clean and the vehicle does not need any brake service. I was in shock as I thought I was hearing the warning pin on the pads. He said no most likely just some debris in there but still quite a bit of break life left in the vehicle. To me this is a very professional and ethical business giving me back my car within minutes of an inspection and an honest evaluation of needed service. They could have easily replace the pads and service the rotors and I would've not been the wiser.
