    Good friends yearly Xmas dinner
    Diane L.

I was very disappointed with my meal. I ordered the shrimp Milanese and it was nothing like I expected. Shrimp was fried with a dab of cheese on top of each of 5-6 medium shrimp and linguine in the middle in a pool of butter/oil. The dish lacked in flavor and I question the recipe. I came with a large group of ladies and many of them were very satisfied with their meal. Maybe I picked the wrong thing but it was suggested by our waitress. The service was wonderful with our server giving us added attention. Ambiance was rather loud and the spaciousness of the room made it feel less cozy and more industrial. I hope to give Joeys another shot in the new year. I'm sure they are working out the kinks since reopening only a short time ago.

Parking was a hard to find. I originally left but not finding much in the area with good Yelp reviews I came back hoping they could squeeze one person in. This place is two restaurants in one. When entering you either go down stairs or up. Not knowing what to do I went down. It felt more like an old steak house than an Italian place but that's fine. It was clean but dimly lit which was again okay because it fit the look. Felt like places I would go with my dad. Service was amazing. Food was fresh. Chicken parm does not come with pasta but does have a salad which I thought was odd but when I get chicken parm I really am going for a good piece of chicken anyway and this is one of the best I have ever had.

    Rigatoni à la vodka

Enjoyed my meal here at Joey's. I ordered the rigatoni à la vodka and thought it was good!! The bread and garlic butter they bring out was very good and warm. Pricing is pretty fair. All the staff I interacted with were very friendly! The ambiance is nice, very clean and refined.

I had a very good dining experience at Joey's. Food was good and service is excellent. Everything was prepared to order and perfectly executed. I really enjoyed my chicken parm with spaghetti. I will say the upstairs dining could use an update. It is dated and had an odor that messed with my sinuses. I probably won't return because of that. I would definitely recommend the food however.

We were in town for a hockey weekend and decided to try Joey's & we're so glad we did. The restaurant is beautiful, and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. The chicken parm with homemade pasta was rich, fresh, and perfectly cooked, while the seafood pasta loaded with clams was incredibly flavorful and noticeably fresh. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day at the rink. Highly recommend!

This is a review for the downstairs portion of the restaurant. I'd received mixed reviews from colleagues about Joey's, but since it was close to my hotel I decided to give it a shot one Wednesday evening. After stepping downstairs I was quickly seated at a 4 top in a dining room that was 3/4 full with dim lighting, dark wood, and some areas more private than others. The ambiance gives good romantic date vibes. My waitress quickly arrived with a menu and water. Bread arrived shortly after and I was ready to order having previewed the menu prior to driving over. Caesar salad, Chicken Parmesan with linguini, and a side of meatballs (added these based upon other reviews). The Caesar came out next on a cold plate (why is so hard to find a restaurant that does this anymore) the way it's supposed to and was fantastic. Perfectly aged Parmesan cheese with a delicious dressing. This was easily the best part of the meal and enough to get me to return to Joey's. The chicken Parmesan was a bit of a let down though. The chicken was a bit tough/overcooked and because of this I would have liked more sauce and cheese to abate the dryness. The two meatballs were next and I polished those off pretty quickly. They were tender, flavorful, and a worthy addition to the meal. At this point I was stuffed, so I had them box up the linguini which I ate the next day. Overall It was a good but not great meal. The Caesar salad alone would get me to come back, but I'd be hesitant to try the Chicken Parmesan again.

Nice modern decor. Very busy tonight with familiar favorites. The bar is bright and welcoming.

The new place has lost its charm, it's warmth, it's head chef , ... It's open, cold, a huge remodel mistake from my lens.

Food was good, but sadly, it was not the "old" Joey's. Service was not what I come to expect and the ambiance is no where near the same.

I checked OpenTable for 6:30PM on a Wednesday night and it said there was nothing within 3-1/2 hours. I found this very odd and since I was on my own, I ventured on down anyway to see if I could score a spot at the bar, which I easily did because they were only 1/4 full and the bar only had 3 other people at it when I arrived. I believe the bartender's name was Justin and he was great... very friendly and helpful, as well as engaging. He constantly checked on me and discussed the menu and restaurant, as well as their offerings. I chose their All 'Amatriciana with their slightly breaded chicken breast on top. The chicken was so very good! The All 'Amatriciana itself was so bland. I was disappointed in how bland it was. There was no spice at all to it, so I asked for their crushed red pepper and ended up putting several spoonfuls on it - turns out their crushed red peppers are either old or stale, but they're definitely bland and useless, as they didn't add any spike to the flavor of this dish and if the chef used these to season this dish while making it, that would explain some of what it was so bland. I will say that their table bread was outstanding! It came with their whipped butter, seasoned with honey and parmesan and that combo was so good! Too bad I didn't order something else, like pizza, as this is what I initially saw in reviews that looked amazing. I'm sure they normally are great here, I just came on an off night.

The food was delicious, and so much to choose from! We had the Arancini balls to start, and they were delicious. We both tried the soups, and I adored the micro grilled cheese that topped the tomato bisque - SUCH a cute garnish! We recommend you get your steak "Jimmy style" because WOW, there is soooo much flavor! The shrimp scampi was also excellent. The large portions gave us some good leftovers. We had to finish with cannolis to-go, and we were so happy we did. Our server was very attentive, even as the place was filling up on a holiday evening! We can't wait to go back and try more of their menu.

Our apps of meatballs and calamari were good but when we got our red wine, it was freezing. Then we were waiting for at least a half an hour for our food. My sister was starting to worry about getting to her graduation despite us booking 2 hours ahead of her ceremony. When we received our food, all meals came except mine which was about 10 mins after everyone else. The best meals were the Chicken Riggies & Chicken Milanese. The Chicken Piccata was very heavy of Dijon and the Chicken Marsala tasted like Chicken Teriyaki; needless to say, neither dish tasted like its traditional description. Lastly, the Clam Provencal was void of flavor. Half of our party left as soon as I got my food and we paid the check so we weren't late to the ceremony, but then the rest of our party was asked to leave for another group. Sadly, it was different than what we were hoping for.
