Polpette (Meatballs) sauce was meh and I prefer meatball that are soft. But they were good just not my preference.
    Kim S.

Arrived for a Saturday evening meal were immediately seated and brought water. Service was fast and friendly. Tables were well spaced so you didn't feel crowded and could enjoy conversation without overhearing other tables. Got the meatballs and the special appetizer which I can't remember the name of but was ok not as good as it sounded. Ordered and enjoyed the Zozzona and Bolognese. Both were very good and portions were large. I think if you got one of each and mixed them together and served it would be an incredible dish. Of the two I preferred the Zozzona because of the sweet sausage. My dining partner enjoyed and finished the Bolognese. Good experience and flavorful food... But I still prefer an other Italian restaurant in Liverpool.

We went back to see if our second visit would be as good as the first. Well, it was. The service was as good as our first time. Our waiter was a a riot and was very attentive. The ambiance was as nice. The details haven't changed from our first visit. Plenty of room and space for everyone. We started with the charcuterie board and the whipped ricotta and focaccia. The board was the perfect size for 3 people. The quality of the meat and cheese was excellent. The star of this visit was the entree that my wife and I split. They had a 34 ounce bone-in ribeye steak. It came with some marvelous twice fried fingerling potatoes. We ordered some sautéed broccolini as a side. It was literally one of the best steaks I have ever had anywhere. Best of all, we had leftovers! If you haven't tried Abbiocco by a Mano yet, do so.

Came here a second time with a group of friends. Haven't been since it was originally A Mano but it still was great food & service. My cocktails were delicious. We ordered the arancini and Brie apps, both tasty. My butternut squash pasta entree was also tasty and flavorful.

Service and Food were great, we ordered so many things to try. They brought out bread with a "long hot" butter to start. Then, For appetizers, the arancini, the polpette, the crab crostini, and the trapanese pizza. The Arancini were good, very cheesy. I loved the polpette - the meatballs had almost a crispy exterior, mix in the ricotta and they were excellent. The crab crostini special was just okay, not too special. The trapanese pizza was phenomenal - thin, crispy, cheesy. For entrees, with whatever room we had left, we tried the bolognese and the zozzona. Bolognese was good but the zozzona was great. The sauce was good and the sausage was very tasty. Wrapped it all up with an affogato. Would recommend!

I had never went to A Mano, so I was extra excited to try Abbiocco. We went for a coworkers' going away dinner. They were accommodating with the time & large amount of people, but not as attentive and engaging as l had wished. Nonetheless, the happy hour wine deal $6 - woo! We started at the bar, watching the restaurant quickly become full. Was not a Thursday so we couldn't have the exclusive gnocchi, I opted for the "Ragu di Agnello," lamb, SO tender and flavorful with the mint - many got pizza, which looked amazing especially with the stone fire oven. An intimate date night to split some apps & dessert is necessary, as we got the bare minimum. I will absolutely try again!

I was in town for business and was hungry but not starving so I wanted to grab something semi lite. I walked by this restaurant and it appeared like a comfortable spot. I took a seat at the bar and ordered a Pear & Thyme Martini from the drink menu. Between the bar tender flirting overtime with two young girls at the bar he asked for my order. The drink was good not great. The pear flavor was almost absent and the vodka was not smooth enough for the pairing. The honey thyme flavor was well balanced. I decided on two appetizers. The Caprese Burrata, and the Calamari with Lemon Aioli. The flavor was great in the Caprese salad. The tomato was flavorful, the burrata was fresh. The plate barely had any basil and was missing that flavor. The balsamic glaze was great. Overall it was the star of the meal. The calamari was okay. The calamari was slightly overcooked and chewy and had slightly too heavy breading. I didn't ease any seasoning or flavor on the calamari. But the lemon aioli and balsamic glaze was amazing. I mean you could put it on cardboard and it would be the best ever! As I got carry out, I was rather surprised that there was no napkins or cutlery included. Oops. Overall it was an okay experience. If I would have dined in I would have asked them to add more basil and replace the calamari.

Very loud restaurant. Was hard to hear the person I was sitting next to. The service was fast, but the menu is very small and most options you can't tell what it is without looking up Italian. Unfortunately, the food was the worst part. My Zozzona was hot, yes, but the sauce was incredibly acidic and there was barely any sausage. And for the meat that was there, it was in such small pieces that I couldn't tell whether it was sausage or bacon.

I had a great experience here. It's a little hard to find as the entrance is off to the side as opposed to directly facing the street. The ambiance is a little difficult to describe. The tables are well spaced apart, the ceilings are high, the lighting is dark, but it still feels comfortable rather than trendy or upscale. The wait staff wears t-shirts and everyone was extremely friendly. Not as pretentious as some of its peers. The polpette are fabulous. Had the Cacio e Pepe which is definitely al dente (which I love) and was delicious. I felt it was far superior to LaLaLu's version which, while more showy (prepared tableside) was not as al dente, and was pricier. The Cacio e Pepe was hard to eat gracefully though, so not the best idea for a first date or if you're sitting at the bar. I had them bring out the polpette and the Cacio e Pepe at the same time which I'd recommend as the marinara sauce with the polpette contrasts well with the pasta sauce. I'll definitely come again!

Started with fresh bread and Old Bay butter! Crazy good. Had the sweet potato tortellini for dinner it was absolutely amazing! The pasta is fresh, sauce is unique, and potato filling was light and fluffy. Rhubarb tart - fresh cream, delightful crumble and tangy rhubarb made an absolute perfect ending to a stellar meal.

A Mano Kitchen and Bar was a conflicting experience of, that's incredible to, that's made really well but I've had better. I'll make this clear there was nothing bad, not remotely, maybe it was the hype or the prices on the traditional menu that was swaying our opinions. We went for dining week, which is amazing that they participate in because it gave us an opportunity to try so much we otherwise would be hesitant to because of total cost. A Mano itself is really beautiful inside, a great spacious layout with unique designs. Music is playing loud enough to hear, quiet enough to easily converse with your table. Our server was pleasant and attentive, and did his job well. I was impressed that after every course they cleaned everything up and gave us new silverware. For drinks a wide variety of choices of cocktails, wines and beers. Everyone who had a drink enjoyed them. The food, this where mixed positive reviews start coming in and I'll go course by course. The complimentary bread, very soft and fresh, the butter with it was different than a traditional butter, but not our favorite. I used the delicious bread to soak up the sauce from my appetizer. I had the Polpette and this was hands down the best restaurant meatballs I've ever had. Cooked to perfection and the flavor of the sauce left me wanting more. The Caesar salads were very fresh and well made. Someone order the special goat cheese appetizer and they adored it. The main dishes. I had the Gnocchi stuffed with Ricotta and they were cooked perfectly, they nailed the texture. I was underwhelmed by the flavor profile of the sauce they were in. Making it a simply enjoyable main. My wife had the strip steak and again they cooked it to perfection, underwhelmed by any flavor. It needed more of a favor punch to put it over the top. The twice baked potatoes that came with it were very good. Those that ordered the Cavatelli were in love with it. I got to try some and again cooked to perfection! This time with the sauce having flavor that makes you go wow with each bite! Someone also ordered the pepperoni pizza and they said it was good, it's pizza. The desserts, the deconstructed cannoli with orange ricotta and the lava cake. Both were very nice. We weren't a fan of the orange flavor but you can't knock it for accuracy, it was well executed and a fun take on the traditional version. The lava cake was very good and they used peanut butter in it which was a preferred twist on the traditional. Overall A Mano is easy to recommend, everything was good to great. I want to give it another try to have the opportunity to be fully blown away. I do encourage you to check the menu for pricing and to reserve a table as it's very popular and will easily fill up. Enjoy!!

Talk about good food, service, and, ambience. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend we were visiting in Syracuse. We bellied up to the bar and were served by Mackenzie. He treated us with kindness and shared with us all of his favorites on the menu. This will definitely be a place we dine at when we are in town!

I asked them if they could get me a clean cup and they ended up bringing the same one as the same mark and crumb were still there. For food, our table ordered a few items to share. We got: -CAULIFLOWER WINGS: The chutney/salsa on top of the fried cauliflower was nice and gave the item a little sour kick. However, the cauliflower itself was not cooked fully so not as soft as I wanted it to be. -SYRACUSE POUTINE: The appearance of the poutine was not the best. However, the gravy it came with was very flavorful and tasty. The potatoes themselves were not fried and were in wedge form but went well with the gravy. The small globs of melted cheese on top were a nice complement. -CAJUN SLIDERS: The slider compliments/sauce went well together but the sliders themselves had grill marks on it which gave a bitter bite to those parts of the slider. Additionally, the fried shrimp inside of the slider still had the tail on and so it was a bit of a surprise to bite into a full tail while eating a slider. All in all, a cute spot to see people but food had some hit or miss components.

Got a terrific table to look out the window and enjoyed a nice evening view. Took full advantage of every food meal course available. Started out with their evening appetizer of homemade bread with cinnamon butter. Each of us got our own dinner choice along with small plates to start. The two small plates were green lentil salad and ember roasted carrots. Both of them with their unique flavor and style. The green lentil salad featured heirlooms. The ember roasted carrots featured labrieth, doqqa, and maple syrup. Keep in mind everything here comes from local farms and local breweries and distilleries. Big fan of supporting the state and local community. Fantastic! They feature only a few main entrées, tonight's included halibut, steak, chicken, and sea Island peas with jasmine rice. Knowing how well seasoned their steaks are, I went with a filet mignon 10 ounce. Probably a little more than I should've gotten, but I very rarely eat steak and know how well and good they are here. Ordered the steak medium to medium rare and that's exactly how it came out. Mouth watering delicious. Along with the steak includes mashed potatoes, chimichurri, kale, and. crème fraiche. Every bite was outstanding. One of us got ice cream for dessert which she said was very good. The ice cream was made right there at the restaurant. We kicked off the dinner with a rum cocktail and a tequila cocktail. All spirits locally sourced. If you haven't tried it here yet you should. You will not be disappointed.

Trying to separate what little meat there was from the fat was impossible so I had to give up and bring it home to a cutting board and an extremely sharp knife. I haven't tried to eat it yet but it looks as fatty as the first. Both had been totally covered by a condiment that I think should have been served in a separate container to allow the diner to regulate the amount desired. The base was a pilf which made trying to cut the chops even more difficult because every time the meat or the knife slipped, the table was showered with grains....all a bit slapstick....! As I previously said, my wife loved her meal and the previous visit was epic so I hate to criticise but I'm just trying to be honest and fair. I think $45 for a couple of very fatty chops with not much meat and smothered in a vinaigrette you might not like is a bit cheeky... In different circumstances I would have sent it back. Oh well, you live and learn...
