    Garlic pizza
    Alex F.

Very old school restaurant with a ton of seating. Our reservation was for 6 and we were seated promptly. Our server was absolutely wonderful- quick and friendly. -Free bread: wish it was warm but it was fresh -Garlic pizza: huge, can serve at least 5-8 people, very tasty. -I ordered the tortellini carbonara (I somehow forgot to take a photo of it): very tasty, generous portion of prosciutto. Would definitely get again. Salad for a side was meh, mostly lettuce. -Mom ordered the seafood cakes: she said they were good but were more breading than seafood. -Dad ordered the chicken riggies medium: he said they were delicious and correctly medium spicy. -Grandma got the shrimp marinara: good portion of shrimp, she said it was delicious. My favorite part: a very generous wine pour! Huge selection of wines and food specials offered.

What an awesome menu Vito's has. There's something to please everybody. Pasta, salad, and maybe even meatballs & sausage are included with the à la carte entrees. The enormity of the platters is outstanding. We ordered Sacchetti and braciole. The Sacchetti were delicious and came with a choice of meatballs or sausage. The braciole came with the thinnest slice of beef wrapped around a lot of stuffing. It came with a side of pasta & salad. The braciole tasted mostly like the stuffing & tomato sauce. The beef was lost in this dish. However, every dish was served at room temperature or cold; no steam rising from anything. Cold pasta, cold sauce, cold meatballs. Nothing was served hot. The service was excellent. Kind of on the salty side too. I drank a shitload of water after this meal. With a little heat, this dinner would've been 4.5 - 5 stars. What I got was worthy of just 3 - 3.5 stars.

Met some friends and had a wonderful lunch. I love sitting down, getting the menus and water and then the server brings a basket of warm, fresh bread with but and garlic oil. Our lunch specials came with a side so my friends had chicken soup with pastina and I had an amazing salad with tomatoes, olives, chick peas and roasted peppers...and the house balsamic was very tasty. Two of us ordered the Pasta Pie with a meatball that was soft and nicely seasoned. The other entree was the Sacchiatti(?)....little pastas purses filled with cheese in a vodka sauce. All our meals were hot and fresh and seasoned nicely..it was nice the grated cheese was on the table if someone wanted it. We all enjoyed our meals very much and decided to have lattes and dessert. Eclairs, cannoli and Limoncello cheesecake were the perfect ending. The staff was friendly with everyone smiling or saying hello, our server checking on us several times to make sure everything was good.

    The stuffed chicken special

The restaurant itself is very nice and classy looking on the inside. The staff were very friendly and attentive. However, the nights special of "Italian stuffed chicken" couldn't have been more bland. I honestly expected much more than what I got as far as flavor.

Had a great Father's Day dinner here. Food took awhile, but it was a packed house. Despite this, our waitress was really attentive and we all commented how good the service was. Started off with the garlic pizza that was delish. I had the tenderloin tips with Marsala sauce. My dish was amazing, the steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and loved the sauce pairing. My family got shrimp marinara, seafood cakes, meatballs, and chicken riggies. The only complaint was that the seafood cakes could've used more actual seafood than breading. We had plenty of leftovers to take home. Overall, a solid experience.

My husband and I went to Vito's for the first time last night, and it far exceeded our expectations. I assumed it would be a simple Italian restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu and the daily specials. I also loved that you can order à la carte or choose a dinner option that includes antipasto or soup, coffee, and dessert! The hot seafood antipasto was incredible--so much seafood! The baked eggplant and peppers in the dish were outstanding as well. I also appreciate that you can order this dish as either an appetizer or a dinner. Vito's will be our go-to Italian restaurant from here on out!

Pork chops Milanese with a side of vodka sauce penne

Vito's was a great experience and happy I got to try them out for my birthday. They are always busy and the parking lot does not lie with how packed it is but when you walk in the tables are spacious and spread out nicely. We didn't feel we were sitting on top of anyone. Our waiter, Jeremy was great and so helpful. He really took the time to give us input and recommendations for food and wine. His recommendations did not disappoint. We started out with some bread and oil with a bottle of wine. The bread was warm and soft and very good, we couldn't stop eating it. My boyfriend got the pork chops Milanese with a side of vodka penne. They were huge and delicious, he left with one full one and some pasta because of how big they were. I got the special lobster riggies and I chose hot for spice level. I'm a huge spicy fan, I throw tobasco sauce on everything and eat jalepenos on almost every sandwich. Their spice level was a bit too spicy for me to really enjoy the pasta, just way too many peppers (that's a lesson learned on my part since this is different everywhere). I still loved the pasta, their riggie sauce is delicious and there was lots of large pieces of lobster. I took half of mine home as well. We ate so much we had no room for dessert, but our waiter gave us some ice cream cake from another birthday that was offering. We ate some with our espresso to tamp all that delicious food down. This is definitely a date night spot for us when we want to spend a little more and treat ourselves.

    Linguini and white clam sauce

I've often heard great things about Vito's Ristorante, but I've never taken the time to check it out until the other day. Four of us went on for dinner, and when we arrived, the parking lot was packed. We were pleasantly surprised when we were seated right away. Bread was brought to the table, and drink orders were taken right away. Our server (sorry, I forgot, her name and can't give her the proper credit) was spot on, friendly, and attentive. We ordered lasagna, chicken riggies, linguine with white clam sauce, and chicken parm. Everything was fresh, hot, and tasty. We all really enjoyed our meal. Vito's was very clean, and the ambiance is welcoming. The noise level is a little higher than some other spots, but I took that to mean folks were enjoying themselves. I highly recommend Vito's for any occasion. Give them a chance to impress you as well.

We decided to share everything we ordered - risotto balls, fried mozzarella, wedge salad, chicken cutlets and pasta and it was fun! We also had drinks - dirty martini, espresso martini, and shots of tequilaaa! Everything was yummy and it's super cute and fun inside! We loved the red lights and movies playing on the walls. There's not too much seating but we didn't have to wait for a table and they do have an outdoor patio. John the owner is amazing!! We walked out and forgot our leftover box on the table and he ran them down the street to give to us! My friend also dropped her retainer and we didn't realize until after, once we got back to the restaurant he had it wrapped in a napkin for her! He is so kind and caring and has an awesome restaurant!

We went during the week so it was a quiet afternoon and we were seated immediately. We started off with a bottle of cab and their fried gnocchi and meatballs for appetizers. Wasn't able to get a picture of them as we dug in very quickly. They were both delicious and the marinara they use for sides is very flavorful and smooth. My boyfriend got the lasagna and I got the chicken cutlets with a side of pasta with their diavolina (spicy pink sauce). Both were fantastic and I loved the diavolina sauce, just the right amount spicy and very creamy. It went great with the chicken cutlets which were the perfect crisp. The owner actually came out to check on us throughout our dinner which was a nice surprise and was great to meet him. Love to see new restaurants on Westcott and look forward to trying other items on our next visit.

Service is excellent and the outdoor seating area is amazing. This is one of my favorite places to eat in Syracuse. The only problem I have is the parking. I highly recommend the arancini balls and the Utica greens for appetizers. The pasta I tried this time just needed a little salt but otherwise the dish was excellent. If the weather is nice sitting outdoors is awesome. It doesn't fell at all like you are in downtown Syracuse. The price is a little high but totally worth it with the food being so good and the helpings you get. I don't usually get dessert but the cheesecake looked so good I had to try it and I wasn't disappointed at all. I was overly full afterwards but totally worth it. I highly recommend you give this place a try

A little advice, try to make reservations before 7 PM because the restaurant gets very crowded later in the evening. For my entrée, I ordered the pecan-crusted salmon salad and it was amazing. My lady bug had the ravioli, and so did snore bug , both really enjoyed it. Our waiter was outstanding: bubbly, attentive, and made the whole dinner even more enjoyable. The ambiance was vibrant and lively, perfect for celebrating after graduation weekend. Then, For appetizers, the arancini, the polpette, the crab crostini, and the trapanese pizza. The Arancini were good, very cheesy. The trapanese pizza was phenomenal - thin, crispy, cheesy. For entrees, with whatever room we had left, we tried the bolognese and the zozzona. Bolognese was good but the zozzona was great. I checked OpenTable for 6:30PM on a Wednesday night and it said there was nothing within 3-1/2 hours. I found this very odd and since I was on my own, I ventured on down anyway to see if I could score a spot at the bar, which I easily did because they were only 1/4 full and the bar only had 3 other people at it when I arrived. I believe the bartender's name was Justin and he was great... very friendly and helpful, as well as engaging. He constantly checked on me and discussed the menu and restaurant, as well as their offerings. I chose their All 'Amatriciana with their slightly breaded chicken breast on top. The chicken was so very good! The All 'Amatriciana itself was so bland. I was disappointed in how bland it was. There was no spice at all to it, so I asked for their crushed red pepper and ended up putting several spoonfuls on it - turns out their crushed red peppers are either old or stale, but they're definitely bland and useless, as they didn't add any spike to the flavor of this dish and if the chef used these to season this dish while making it, that would explain some of what it was so bland. I will say that their table bread was outstanding! It came with their whipped butter, seasoned with honey and parmesan and that combo was so good! Too bad I didn't order something else, like pizza, as this is what I initially saw in reviews that looked amazing. I'm sure they normally are great here, I just came on an off night.
