Grande Cheese and Alta Cucina tomatoes ... meatballs hand-made inside the restaurant ( not reheated out of a bag) from a food distributor ... Chicken cutlets dipped in egg wash and breadcrumbs - also inside the restaurant. This is an old Vegas pizza joint lightly decorated, quaint, friendly and a small inline unit with three tables. The staff is friendly, and most of the time (like today) Joey himself is there making the pizza and other food. Excellent spot (closed on Tuesdays) - stop in and give it a try if you're in Henderson. This is a family favorite for those in the area . In fact it's been my pizza fav for a decade at least. So what's your poison? If you're looking for lunch a few slices of real authentic New York Pie stop on in. They have pizza by the pie too. Truly the perfect pizza is what you can in and order. For us it's a pizza with onion and pepperoni. Oh my goodness the pizza . They will have you at that first bite. The creation of the perfect pie starts with, love ! Good lord. I ordered via Uber Eats so it took 55 minutes. I popped the pizza in the air fryer for 2 minutes and it might just be the best New York-style Pizza in Henderson. Great crust. As an experienced pizza person, I fully understand there may be a wait. In fact, I'm happy to wait for fresh, but, 35 minutes for slices is too much. No one is waiting 35 minutes. Classic, authentic New York pizza done right! The thin crust was perfect--crispy, foldable, and full of flavor. They even have the traditional red pepper flakes and oregano right on the table, just like back home. The garlic knots were super tasty--fresh and full of flavor--but definitely on the smaller side, so trust me, order more than you think you'll need because they'll disappear fast. The staff was awesome--super friendly and attentive. Had a great conversation with a couple of the girls working there who were from Connecticut, just like me. Always nice to get that hometown connection. To top it all off, I tried the Italian ice and it was absolutely tremendous--soft, flavorful, and refreshing. That was only bc when my mom called it in, she said to the girl "tell him to put ricotta in it" & she thought my mom was asking for extra ricotta, but she wasn't. Normally he makes them skimpy w very little ricotta, that all you can taste & see is the mozzarella! Tonight he made the calzone the way it's always supposed to be made ! Dont be so cheap w the ricotta...we'd order more often if you didn't fall flat on that all the time! It truly was so good tonight & hope you will continue to make them that way, like everyone else does! Your calzones are always so flat which tells me there's no ricotta in it. I told my mom, when I lived in Summerlin, we ordered calzone from villa pizza & they were always puffy & full of ricotta...I said why are these so flat? She said that's what happens when they cool down, & I said no, villa pizzas stays puffy bc it's full of cheese! Villa pizza ...when I would cut it in 1/2 to share w my mom, the ricotta come oozing out of it...joeys never does that, but tonight, I was impressed & finally enjoyed your calzone! This was unknowingly the second time I've had pizza from this place. Granted, the first time, I had it delivered--and this, the second time, a friend picked it up. They're the furthest pizza place South on Eastern before the bend at Anthem. So. Close to me. Had I known that this was the same place as I had delivered, I'd probably have told my friend not to get a pizza there. But I DEFINITELY would have told my friend not to get a pizza there if I had realized that the prices on the only menu photos they have were from years ago. The flavor isn't there. The cheese consistency is so bad. It's not flavorful. The pepperoni just adds grease and makes even a slightly-cooled down pizza just hard to eat. I was really in the mood to have good pizza today. Not for it to feel heavy and congealed in no time. The pizza is 2-star pizza without it costing DOUBLE the price on the menu here. This pizza is nowhere near worth that. I've had it twice and I don't understand the glowing reviews. As a fellow Brooklynite, I'm sorry. Just doesn't do it for me. And I feel bad that he paid $28 plus $3.50 for pepperoni for a pie he shouldn't have had to pay $14 plus $2.50 for, just because I had a small procedure done and he was trying to be nice and bring me a comfort food. We finally tried this hole in the wall pizza place and was pretty good. We got the large pepperoni pizza. The sauce was flavorful, dough had a good chew. I would go back when in the area. The little hole in the wall Italian pizza place is an UNDERSTATEMENT as this is hands down the most authentic NY style pizza place in Las Vegas. I stopped in for what I thought would be a slice of pizza and to my surprise, met the family behind this fabulous place. They recommended the Chicken Parm and the Sausage & Peppers sandwiches. I ended up going with the Chicken Parm and it was so delicious...very cheesy, crisp chicken, and perfect amount of sauce on a freshly made roll. My friend ordered a few slices of pepperoni pizza, freshly made to order. There was a constant flow of customers coming in for a quick slice with numerous phone orders as the phone did not stop ringing; a great testament to the food quality. Service wise, although busy, I felt like part of the family with a warm welcome in. One of the chefs came out from the back and asked for my order before it was even placed in the system to start preparing it. This sandwich was made with love and the person who made it clearly made it for themselves as if they were to eat it. Very reasonable pricing for the generous portions which, although are very large, do not feel heavy at all. Have been eating here for years. Called an order in Saturday around 5pm. 45 minute wait. When i got there they werent even close. There were a couple of younger girls and one guy who was in his 20s. The mushrooms were cold in the center as was the fried ravioli. I had ordered that half the pizza would be olives. The olives were so thick, the pizza under it wasnt cooked. I was watching on of the women stretching the dough. Finger pinching does not work. As such the crust was not thin and crispy...more like a warm up pizza from 7 11. Was a great place. I'm home sick and sent my boyfriend to pick up the pizza I ordered. Ordered a garden pizza and it came without mushrooms which is a big deal when they are your meat substitute and it's not there. Even though the store was closed when I called after 8 pm. They did answer the phone to hear my complaint. Confirmed my name and order that should have come with mushrooms. The pizza had a great flavor just disappointing to not get what you were expecting. Also, seemed like there was an issue because I ordered thru grubhub which I only did because the store's online order link was not working. The lady I spoke with was nice and offered a credit for a future topping which was something but does nothing for my disappointment and inconvenience. After another pizza place informed me they couldn't make enough pizza's for a Friday night family reunion, I stopped at Joey's and they were very accommodating. Jessica was a tremendous help with selecting pizza sizes and kinds for our gang of youngsters to 80 year olds. I scheduled the pizza delivery of 7 pizzas, 40 wings, Mac and cheese bites, chicken nuggets, and garlic knots to be delivered at 5:30. Our driver Brian arrived at 5:30 on the dot and got everything brought into the house. My guests raved about the great quality and taste of all of the food.
