My family has been going here for over a decade. Staff is very nice and attentive, and food always arrives hot. I do think the pizza tastes good but they definitely have lessened the amount of italian seasoning the past several times I have been, which used to be part of their signature taste for their pizza. Kind of makes it less special or memorable. The restaurant definitely feels old. The theme, the bathrooms, the furniture, it all has a very "lived in" vibe. We noticed a build up of dust on the dividers between booths as well. Over all this has been a go-to restaurant for the majority of my childhood into my adulthood, and I forsee it continuing to be as such, but it has some obvious wear and tear and hasn't quite been able to keep up with the passage of time. read more

It's been a minute since we've visited Metro Pizza, and now, we wonder why? It was great! We had a fabulous sausage and mushroom tavern pizza. That means thin crust and square cut. Sooo good! Brought our family to eat here at 7:30 on Wednesday night. The place was packed because it was "trivia night." (Had no idea) Asked for a table for 5. We went to Metro Pizza because my mother in law wanted to have something different when we were visiting. Seemed like a decent choice as it wasn't too far from her place. When we got there they were packed! Had a good 15 minute wait and spoke with a few regulars who told us about a few midweek specials that they loved. They've got a reasonably sized bar, and plenty of seating, as well as a to-go area for quick and easy Uber Eats/pickup orders. The pizza was really good. We ordered a large for 4 adults and almost didn't finish it. Tried their house made sangria and I actually enjoyed it. In the to-go/phone order area they've also got a selection Gelato, and I gave in and had a mix of the chocolate Gelato and raspberry sorbetto. (It's an amazing flavor combo btw). This place is amazing! Went here and ordered a pepperoni pizza, garlic knots, mozzerella sticks, chicken parm, cannoli and gelato. Everything was so good! I could probably pass on the chicken parm, but the pizza was super thin which I like. The mozzerella sticks and garlic knots were delicious! Also do not skip on their desserts. This place caught my eye with the images of cannolis! There's nothing better than a good Italian restaurant that knows how to make cannolis right. And guess what -they do! We ordered two of the largest pizzas. One margarita and one pineapple and pepperoni (yes- the Italian sin of adding pineapple to a pizza.. we did it! lol) their pizza was made right with the crust not being too thin or too thick, and the pizza not being cooked to crisp. Bravo! The servers were kind and quick to help. I understand that the locals here just order before they get there to limit their wait time for the food. There is a separate takeout order area from the main restaurant, which is accompanied by their gelato and sweets area. Came in with the family to grab a simple half pep half cheese pizza for lunch. We knew exactly what wanted and ordered quickly cause my 3 year old was hungry. Our waitress continued to chat it up with every table but ours and 40min later our pizza had been sitting out because she forgot to grab it. We kept trying to get her attention since our child was getting upset and when she finally brought the pizza over it was cold and incorrect. First let me talk about parking, it's limited but not too much of a problem, just feels compact. Food was good, took over 40 mins to receive 2 small pizza along with two different sides of fries. It wasn't that busy, so maybe there were a lot of pick up orders? Not sure but when it did arrive it was great. Customer service wasn't bad but wasn't great as well. We didn't get the "welcome to metro pizza" feeling. I've been in places where customer service was horrible so compared to those places it was mediocre here. Overall, good spot to get some pizza if you're in Henderson, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here if you're anywhere 20 mins away. read more

Been ordering from this location for years, it was great until about 6 months ago. We order because they are one of the few places close to us with glutin free crust. Lwt me go over the last 3 times Ive ordered. 2 times pick up, 1 time delivery. First order (pick up) ordered online, showed up at the time they said it would be ready. Was told ten min, 20 min later pizza came out with a softball sized hole in the middle of it. Offered to remake it, or give me a discount. Annoyed but I get it, things happen. Second order (delivery) placed order around 4:00 p.m. for a 5:30 delivery. Pizza arrived at my house at 4:45. Pizza was cold. Again annoyed. Today (pick up) ordered online at 4:00 ish scheduled the pick up for 5:00. Arrived at 5:00 to be told it had 10 - 15 min left, so they hadn't even started it. What is the point of allowing customers to schedule a pick up time! After 20 min the incredibly rude (tall, skinny, long dark hair) comes out to inform me its coming out now. Then gets even more rude when I showed my frustration. I didn't yell, or even say anything I simply shrugged and shook my head. Finally at 5:25 the other young lady working bring me out the pizzas. I get home to find a smashed pizza. This is $40 pizza, that along with being smashed, was soggy, and overall not even on par with Papa John's. Do yourself a favor, save time, frustration, and a bunch of money and just avoid this joke of a pizzeria. The cherry on top is the absolute disgusting lack of service provided by their employee. I wish their garlic knots were more garlicky though. On another note, my teenage daughter went to the bathroom and while she was washing her hands a male employee went walking out the door of the ladies restroom. This was very upsetting to her (and me) and when I talked to the manager I was told that they only had males available to clean the ladies room. They really need to put a sign up or something that says they're being cleaned so that no one can use them during those times. We regularly order from Metro Pizza because the food is usually reliable, but the customer service has always been hit or miss. Occasionally, there's someone pleasant behind the counter--but unfortunately, this last visit was awful and pretty much justifies why we order from there less and less. I arrived on time to pick up my order, and the girl at the counter asked for my name. I gave it to her, and she immediately looked confused because she couldn't find my order ticket on the wall (where it usually is, highlighted and ready). As I was about to show her my confirmation text, she asked, "Did you order from this one?" I said yes. She continued searching with no success, then asked how I placed the order. I told her--through the app, as I always do. She finally checked the computer and said, "Oh, there you are." No apology. No sense of urgency. Just informed me flatly that the ticket "wasn't printed" and they could make it now, but it would be about 20 minutes...we had already waited 40 minutes for the original takeout order! The lack of ownership or even a simple "sorry for the wait" was incredibly frustrating. Mistakes happen, but it's basic customer service to acknowledge them with at least a little empathy. This kind of treatment makes it hard to keep supporting a place we've been loyal to for so long. Please, train your staff on how to speak to customers and handle errors with grace. Onward to a "Triple Play" of Sausage on crispy rectangles the cold-fermented 86th Street is defiantly light despite its thickness, and whether served with or without Toppings there remains no better Sicilian Pizza tasted anywhere in the world to this day. Testing two new "Tavern Pies" on a willing group of twelve, Meatballs with Roasted Peppers and Ricotta besting Soppressata with Feta and Pepperoncini on crackling Crust that still retains some flexibility, Metro's "718" Calzone remains a subtle nod to Brooklyn gifting guests with lightly fried Dough on this day filled with Ham and molten Whipped Ricotta. Impressed that something fried can eat so light, Metro Pizza's lengthy fermentation process combined with Chef Arena's 50+ years of experience assuredly responsible, it was from a tray carried by Sam's Granddaughter that Metro's Cannoli completed the afternoon with filling still made daily by John's nonagenarian Father. read more

My bfs work got this for them an he raved about how good it was, so I wanted to give this place a try. We placed an online order about 530pm and at that time it said it would take about 40 min for the order, so be prepared to wait or order in advance. We pull up and there are tons of cars picking up a to go order (good sign, means it's popular). We got the Milano and the Margherita + garlic knots. All was really good! But my fave combo was dipping the Milano in the marinara sauce YUM!! I liked that the pizza was not extremely greasy, it seemed like the ingredients are high quality or even homemade, and the food was delicious. read more

We used to really enjoy Metro pizza at Horizon Ridge as our go to place now its just frustrating. It's really gone downhill. Let me start with the dark haired sour face cashier who has no customer service at all, always has a face like I insulted her family, does not smile, no hello's and just plain attitude and like what someone wrote no apology at all for anything when she screwed up our order more than once. How we missed those cute friendly ones they had before. The pizza used to be great, now they clearly cutting back on the cheese and sauce, the flavor isn't the same way and too salty, the salad tasted old like it's been sitting for a while. The pizza was oblong and all bended on the sides on our last pickup order so that's it for us after 8 years of being a customer. Really disappointed with how this place has slipped. read more
