My husband and I ordered a 16" pepperoni and sausage pizza from here for dinner and, unfortunately, we were not the biggest fans. We ordered the pizza over the phone and were told 35 minutes. We got there in 20 so we could pay and wait, but it was already done and sitting under the heat lamp. We like our pizza fresh out of the oven, so this was already a negative for us. The pizza was very thin, which I know is their style so I can't fault them for it. The sauce was also kinda dolloped onto different parts of the pizza rather than evenly spread out, which again seems to be how they do things. While the flavors themselves were good and you could tell the ingredients were quality, this style of pizza just wasn't for us. My husband and I personally prefer thicker crusts with more sauce, so this didn't quite hit the mark for our tastes. Overall, it wasn't bad by any means, just not our preferred pizza style. We'll probably skip returning, but I can see how people who enjoy thin, classic-style pizzas might like it. If you're ordering to-go, don't always rely on the time they give you, as was our case. read more

Went to have a late lunch Friday (3:15pm) to have some great pizza. I waited for the hostess to come to the front and asked for a table for 4. She told me the pizza oven is being cleaned and it would be ready at 4pm. She said we could have some salad. A PIZZA place that cleans their PIZZA oven in the middle of the day. WOW!!! Don't know what happened this evening .. we ordered an 18" when we got home and opened the box there was no round sliced mozzarella cheese only some kind of shredded white cheese with no taste. The sauce tasted like plain tomato sauce not the usual seasoned sauce. After many years of eating Grimaldi's pizza this was very disappointing. Very good pizza and salad. Our salad was fresh with a good amount of cheese and zesty dressing that was also a little creamy. The pizza had meatballs, sausage, and pepperoni creating a very meaty pie. I've been a long time customer. The food quality has suffered however and I'll find some other pizza spot. I ordered two large pizzas to pick up. 18" is the advertised size and priced accordingly. I picked up the pizzas, it made the mistake of trusting Grimaldi's because I've been here many times. One pizza was fine and all were happy with it. The second pizza was not what I expected nor what I paid for. Not a round 18" pizza, it was 18" x 12". I just felt ripped off. Yes its in a strip mall but the doors to this place are magic and they transport you to the incredible experience of Grimaldis Pizzeria once you walk through them. The pizza here is outstanding. One of my old-time favorite NY style pizza spot here in Henderson/Vegas. Came here for an early dinner, service was excellent our waitress was super friendly, very nice and efficient. Restaurant has a full bar if you wanna order something to pair with your pizza like wine or beer or whatever you like. I've always loved NY style pizza coz the crust is perfectly thin. Out of the 4 locations in Las Vegas, I have officially tried 3 of them as of this evening. The other 2 that I tried; was not that impressed. This location has redeemed the name (in Las Vegas of course). For those who may not be familiar, Grimaldi's is a famous pizza spot in New York (Brooklyn being the original & I believe the largest location too). When I first moved to Vegas I was pretty excited about having a Grimaldi's as my neighbor; again. I am so sorry that I did not have any photos to attach. I was so happy to dive right into it, that I just forgot until it was too late & nothing was left. An almost flawless cheese pie with extra Grimaldi sauce. It was so tasty. Perfect temperature, nice & crispy crust & & really nice undercarriage. It prolly could have cooked slightly a little longer to give it that perfect slice that stands straight up when you bend it half before that first bite. Although I ordered it for take out (along with a tiramisu that I haven't eaten yet), the staff was so kind & helpful. It made me want to go back & dine in next time. Walking in to Grimaldi's, almost 3000 miles away from the Original, it's so amazing to see that the culture is so deeply embedded that the kitchen & the restaurant as a whole is hustling & bustling. This has to be one of the best NY style coal oven pizzas Iv ever had . If you love a well done , thin crust with amazing leopard crust this is the spot! Started with 1/2 off wine and apple walnut salad. Small salad was pretty large & enough for two, simple and tasty. We ordered the extra pepperoni/ hot honey and added mushrooms and jalapeños... it was delicious. If you have time do dine in do it, the crisp bite fresh out the oven was amazing.
