As much I like the food here and like stopping on the way home work for a dog or two. But for a newly remodeled building, it is falling apart. Stopped in for a quick bite and it was hotter inside than being on the sun. Looked around the place and noticed that the ceiling was starting to come down. I really do not like eating outside, but had no choice due to the heat inside. Went outside to the benches to eat, they all need work. Price is probably the biggest thing going for Joey's, it is very fair. The food is alright, nothing to get super excited over. Ever since the fries went from shoestring to crinkle cut I feel like everything I order has gone down hill in quality. Service is completely fine in my experience but the food is not great. The fries now taste a lot like oil that's gone bad, and the burger buns seem to always be so wet that the center becomes a paste. I don't know about anyone else but that mushy texture makes me gag. Overall it's mediocre. If you're eyes are bigger than your stomach, bear in mind that a little bit of food here goes a long way, so stick to small portions. read more

I been driving by this spot for the past month and finally decided to give it a try after reading up on it on yelp. The place is newly remodeled and very clean inside out along with good service but the food was just average. I ordered a gyro and char dog but it wasn't anything spectacular just average fast food I really thought by being as busy as it was that the food would of been better but it was alright. I rather go to Portillo's or fat Johnny's for a hot dog and the frys were super thin and crunchy. The gyro was good with the sauce but nothing to rave about. Just ate at Joeys with my buddy Charlie who is also a Yelper. I ordered a polish sausage with grilled onions and a chili cheese dog. The polish was ok, it didn't have the flavor of a ballpark polish or a polish you get at Portillos and also the onions weren't really cooked long enough. The chili cheese dog was okay as well. The chili and cheese were also both pretty average when it came to flavor. I enjoyed the fact that they give you A small order of fries with each item. I also have a lot of respect for the prices. It costed me under $10 for a polish a chili cheese dog 2 small fries and a vitamin water. I should also mention the interior. The building they are in used to be a Nicky's for a long time then just recently a fish place and both of them looked like trash. The building was rundown and dirty looking for years. The new owner made the place look great, interior and exterior. Overall, great prices, great look, food is alright. read more

They have been open for a couple months and it appeared business was good. . I decided to stop in and chose to have a gyro. I was extremely disappointed in such a simple dish. They told me it included onion tomato and cucumber sauce. I ordered extra tomato. My receipt said extra tomato. It looked like a pita with sliced gyro meat and a white sauce poured over it. There was little or any onion and one small slice of tomato. I wish I'd taken a photo of it to better reinforce my review. This has been one of my go to places to eat when I just want some good old fashioned American food. I've explored the menu a bit. I tend to go for hotdogs and pizza puffs. Lately I've grabbed the corn dogs and gyros when I visit. It seems to be harder to find corn dogs outside of a carnival, so it's definitely a treat I like to get from time to time. It's not super healthy and it's definitely greasy, but that's expected. I don't go here to be healthy, I go here cause I'm usually craving some great fast food outside of the crappy chains. The service is always good, the people there are friendly and helpful when ordering. For some reason I often blank and have some weird order anxiety happen when it's my turn to order, but they're always patient or say the right thing to get my brain to stop farting. Went here a couple months ago, decent experience/ what you would expect from this kind of place. Went today & tried the Philly Chicken. Got home and took a bite and the chicken was thoroughly marinated in vinegar. Spit it out and a huge sandwich is now in a filthy dumpster. A Philly Cheesesteak is not supposed to taste like this. And ok fine, you want to use vinegar-doused chicken & call it a Chicken Philly, cool. But indicate that the chicken is straight up bathed in vinegar on the menu. For someone who would be fine if vinegar was banished from the earth, this sandwich was disgusting and I feel like I got rickrolled. Waste of $5 and had to go back out to potbelly. I have been to joey's many times I've tried the Philly steak it's the bomb. Also the gyro on a pita is so yummy they put so much meat you can have 2 meals out of it. Prices are great I've been trying different items every time I go which is 3 times a week All is very good and food is always steamy hot. Very nice employees friendly fast and yes sometimes a long line but it is worth the wait . I bring my kid's there they always get ice cream and icee. They love the chicken fingers.
