    Great

Best pizza in Mount Vernon Area. Always fresh ingredients. I would definitely recommend this place. John knows Pizza. I've had pizza in Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx.

Figured I'd give this place a try and I'm glad I did! Pizza was delicious! I ordered a pepperoni Sicilian you should expect an hr wait because the dough is made fresh but don't let that stop you, it's worth the wait not to mention there affordable prices. Whenever I have a pizza need John and Tony's pizza is the place I'll be going .

John & Tony's has the best Pizza in Fleetwood. Slices are large, and have that sought after crispy snap when you bite in without being dry. The place has a few small tables if eating in is your thing, but I mostly take out. The walls are covered in family photos along with celebs and politicians vouching for the Pizzeria being the best. The sausage slice is my favorite.

    Best Pizza in the world!

There are many staffers that have been working there for more than a decade. Every meal begins with a delicious salad served family style. Every appetizer, pasta or chicken dish I've ever had here has been really excellent. There are classic dishes, and others you might not have had before. Portions are quite large. The large dining room accommodates couples and foursomes and larger parties. There's also a somewhat separate dining room, often used for gatherings.

It's always interesting to return to a place with history, and thankfully, the current experience holds up. The restaurant was moderately busy, but everything flowed smoothly. No waits, and the staff struck a great balance, attentive when needed, but giving us space to settle in and enjoy the company. Parking is easy with a free lot in the back, plus additional street options. The space is open with warm wood accents that give it a comfortable, inviting feel. We sat in the main dining room and started with the Hot Antipasto Deluxe, a generous spread perfect for the table. It didn't stop there, as they also brought out salad for everyone before the mains, a classic, welcoming touch. I ordered the pappardelle with chicken in a vodka sauce with a dollop of ricotta, rich and satisfying. Others enjoyed dishes like Chicken Piccata and Chicken Parmigiana. Portions were more than enough, and by dessert, shared chocolate lava cake and tartufo, we were completely full. A relaxed, accommodating spot that works especially well for groups. Definitely a place to linger and enjoy.

We got seated right away. Service could not have been better and I base a lot of my reviews on that. One of the staff was clearing the table and accidentally brushed against me, he barely touched me - he couldn't have been more apologetic. Very impressive, I assume management trained him and kudos to them for that! Food was next level! Calamari app was tasty, fresh, tender and delicious. I had the Filet of Sole and it was in an egg batter that was very tasty and perfect. I know it was good because my son had several bites! He also had the gnocchi and I don't think he took a breath while eating it. Definitely be back if I'm in the area again.

The Mediterranean salad had no tomatoes or cucumbers which is pretty standard in a Mediterranean salad. No bread came on the side. Typical Italian restaurants will always provide a bread on the side. The chicken was ok. The seafood pasta lacked flavor. It's as if the seafood was just boiled without lemon, butter, wine etc. it had no flavor ! I requested utensils and to go items (plates, napkins) and the ordered came with nothing. Big disappointment won't be returning.

Well let me tell you...I'm glad I went in. This is a truly an authentic and fully stocked Italian deli. Once you walk in...the aroma of pecorino romano and parmigiano cheese just hits you and boy does it smell good! You have a great assortment of pasta, canned goods, jarred goods and packaged Italian delicacies. The deli has a very nice and large assortment of Italian and American cold-cuts and there is plenty to choose from (imported cheeses, mortadella and prosciutto) just to name a few. They have a nice steam table with an assortment of hot food and dishes to choose from. Too many to mention. They have fresh mozzarella (which they make in the back) salted and unsalted, freshly made Italian sausage (hot and sweet), scamorza (dried mozzarellas) and a wonderful selection of all kinds of olives. They also have a nice selection of breads to buy. Not to mention their Italian pastries, cakes and boxed panettones that they display nicely on their countertops. I decided to order a prosciutto, mozzarella and roasted pepper hero with a side of cucumber with tomato salad. And I ordered a small tray of lasagna and a couple of rice balls (arancini) and a dish of broccoli rabe to take home. This place is cozy, has a lot of Italian foods to choose from and the clerks behind the counter were all very polite and helpful. This is truly a great little gem for this area. Great Italian deli!
