First impressions of the pizza is that it's very oily. Pizza is thin and the sauce/cheese ratio is good. Its quite an floppy pizza. Dough tasted good, i do detect mild yeast in dough. Crust was good, I'd give this slice an 7.4. I guess but I would come back for the grandma slice it looked so good with plum sauce. I can honestly say this was some of the best pizza, if not the best pizza I have ever had. The slices were crispy and had no flop. The sauce had a perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess and the hibiscus tea was perfect. To top it off they gave me a free house made chocolate chip cookie. They are new so I think they are working out the kinks: at first I couldn't get through on their phone line, when I finally put in my order and went to pick up they were a bit behind on pizza orders. All things that hopefully will get smoothed out over time. But strictly commenting on the pizza, it was excellent for Westchester (my favorite grandma pizza is in NJ). Ordered today and was very disappointed. I got pasta with garlic and oil. It was extremely dry, no oil and Luke warm. Had hardly any taste. By the time i got it on to the plate to eat it was cold. Ordered regular bread and garlic bread which is homemade. It came little burnt, nothing great. My brother ordered chicken Parm sandwich which he didn't care for, said it was spicy. He would never order again. Ordered two pizzas there before, they were ok. Both were warm not hot. By the time you got to the second slice it was cold. As a native New Yorker I am very picky when it comes to pizza, in my area I've found a few really good pizza places however most of them are just average, I'm spoiled because I used to live right next to my favorite pizza place but now I finally feel like I've found a great place within walking distance. I frequently look for pizza places I usually just go in a grab a few slices so I did that here, there used to be another pizza place here that I tried a while back and was unimpressed so when I found this place on Yelp I was surprised to see the location, I got two plain slices for my wife and I not expecting much but I was wrong! A thin slice that wasn't too small, right amount of crisp and dough, amazing sauce and cheese, also the right amount of basil, I was so impressed that a few days later I ordered a meatball marinara square pie and it grew my fandom even more, you can tell they use high quality ingredients, their menu has a lot of great items that I look forward to trying at some point!
