I have been wanting to try this place for a few months. The other day I finally was able to make the time to check it out. I'm so happy I did! Despite the place being small there is definitely good seating availability throughout, whether at the countertop, high top tables, or standard tables. The staff were very pleasant. I ordered two slices. I got the chicken scarp and a margherita. Both were such great choices! The flavors were amazing for both. I'm looking forward to returning and trying other flavors. I happened to be in the area and remembered that I have been meaning to stop and try them out. I have been seeing them in construction for soo long so i was happy to see it in action. Strictly Pizza in Pelham Manor is just that, strictly pizza. They have a relatively small menu with various assortments of toppings to choose from. They also have quite a few composed pizzas ready to be ordered by the slice. Since this was my first time there and I wasn't even really hungry, I went for a regular slice, a pepperoni calzone, and some garlic knots. The true test of any pizzeria (in my opinion) is the regular slice, untouched, as is, so you can truly judge the pizza. Happy to report that the pizza was solid. Really good cheese, sauce, and minimal to no flop. Initially I wasn't even going to order one but a fresh pie had just come out as I was waiting to pay for my order so I asked to add one slice to the order. I haven't eaten any of the garlic knots and I only took one bite of the calzone. It looks and tastes like a fried calzone style which I like, similar to Louie & Ernies. The cheese, sauce and toppings seem to be quality and since they only focus on pizza -- they are able to uphold the quality. The inside is very open and spacious with some hi top seats in the front and some bigger tables in the back. The staff was eager to help and answer any questions and they move quick and efficiently. My neighborhood in the Bronx is spoiled with great pizza options so I won't be traveling out just to get it, when I am in the area I will go back if I'm in the mood for pizza. I am very very picky about pizza and specifically love sicilian pizza. My husband stopped by this place tonight to get us a sausage and onion pizza. The crust was hard and tasted burnt and there was not much tomato sauce on the pizza! I've eaten here before but I only bought a slice and it was nice and soft and was good. Tonight was a waste of money. I only ate one slice and did not eat the crust because it was too hard. My husband tried to eat the crust and his temporary crown on his tooth came out. He had to go to the 24 hour CVS to get some kind of dental glue to fix it until he can get to the dentist. That was enough for him to leave that "hard as hell" pizza alone. read more

Went here 2 weeks ago and ordered 2 slices one was the grandma slice. After paying I noticed that they didn't put any of the grated cheese(Reggiano) on it . I asked if they could put it on since it usually is on it. The guy sticks his hand in the cheese and throws it on the pizza. I have been coming here since the place opened and order the same thing every time. I have never seen them do this. They usually use these small tongs. I tell the guy I don't want the pizza after he put his hands in it and he tells me he doesn't handle money so it's ok. It's not ok with me . I was in disbelief because the guys nails are filthy. They are usually very nice especially the owner. Needless to say I'll be looking for another pizza place. Too bad because the grandma pizza is so good! read more

Was in a rush and really hungry and wanted a quick bite. They have a nice parking lot, went in quickly. Service was really good like super friendly which is always nice, place looks spotless, and pizza is amazing! Probably going to become my new go to when I'm in the area. Signs all over the restaurant say a plain slice is $3.75. Okay. When they served me the slice, they told me to pay when I was done.. ok, nothing unusual there. But then they charge $4 for the slice. It's $3.75. Why pull this thievery? Why mess with people like this? Why not just say the slice is $4 and then CHARGE $4? Why deliberately lie to each customer coming through the door? What a dump. The decor looks like somebody ordered the kitchen from IKEA. The pizza itself was okay, but why overcharge people? Don't piss on my leg and tell me its raining. Just charge what the damn thing costs. It's a shame, because the place is very convenient - but it's just rude. If they need an extra quarter for a phone call or something, just ASK. Don't demand it once the pizza is already eaten. Interesting new spot. Pelham and Pelham Manor are overrun with pizza shops, so this is just getting ridiculous. Regardless, this location rates a solid 5/10 on food, 8/10 on service and 10/10 on ambience and street appeal. This store is shooting for a trendy insta spot vibe, the pizza is not spectacular it's just pizza, service was pretty decent greeted upon arrival but the order took far longer than anticipated, lastly the store is very clean and very presentable. Overall on all factors I believe a score of 7/10 is fair. There are better pizza spots at this point. read more

I too have great pizza in my area. but Strickly Pizza's calzone is high quality ingredients. The broccoli rabe taste fresh and was cooked perfectly. And the chicken and mutz outstanding. I love that the calzone doesn't taste doughy. it has a nice crunch to it. it's definitely worth a trip for me. A job well done! read more

The place is clean and bright. Since it was my first time there I decided to try a regular slice with no toppings so I can gauge the quality of the pizza. From one to ten I would rate it a 6. Being a native New Yorker pizza is mainstay in our food system. They need to both work on the sauce to make it tastier, and the cheese to make it more appealing.
