We picked up slices from here. The restaurant had a very family friendly atmosphere. The grandma's slice was absolutely delicious. It was loaded with super chunky tomato sauce and a fluffy, doughy crust. I was very impressed. I also got a plain slice, which was good but nothing special. We wanted an authentic and locally owned pizzeria for dinner and Pelham was all of that! The crust was great and the sauce was especially good. We are we are vegan and we had the arugula salad pizza and it was the best we have ever had. My daughter got the gluten free pepperoni and like ours - it was excellent. As a Bronx native, pizza has always been a family go to for a quick dinner on a busy weeknight. Stumbled across this gem and was not disappointed. We opted to get assorted slices and sample a few- we were hungry! The buffalo chicken slice was delicious, perfectly spiced and fresh. The plain slice was amazing, you could really appreciate the sauce which was flavored nicely. The spinach slice was great, sautéed to perfection. Lastly, the grandma Sicilian slice was scrumptious. My in laws live in Pelham so typically I go there once a week to visit . My husband told me he grew up eating at this pizzeria, I was excited to go . I definitely love me some pizza . You walk in , there is ample amount of seating . I noticed no menu so your not really sure of the prices but it's ok that doesn't bother me much . I got 2 plain slices and my husband got 2 sausage slices . It was ok . Not the best nor the worse pizza I ever had . I was not crazy about there sauce it had pepper in it , I tend to lean towards a sweater sauce and the cheese was very over cooked . There crust was delicious I will give them that . I had the fettuccine carbonara, which was certainly above average in quality. I find that carbonara is a difficult and unusual dish to make, so it's a good way to test an Italian restaurant. This place certainly passed the carbonara test. The portion size was absolutely enormous! It was better than the carbonara I had at a certain Michelin-starred restaurant in New Rochelle! I also had the opportunity to taste the fagioli soup, spinach pizza, and eggplant pizza. Everything was delicious. All of this, and the bill was under $50, with the tip included. There's a bit of an open favoritism that goes on to and for the regulars, one one of my closest friends who was born in Italy and who has lived in New Rochelle for decades told me this was the best pizza in all of Westchester County.
