3 1/2 stars. The Home Burgers are BIG and you can see it's charcoal grilled. I feel like they add flavouring to their patties, which was OK for me, but if you're a purist - I suggest Fresh Burger. Ordering over the phone is pain-free. Good value.

I used to go to their old location in Yonge and Finch area. Surprised that they got a much smaller kitchen and moved to Markham. Their business was gold back then and the burgers are just as good right now. A bit pricier side- but meh. Support local businesses that use high quality product, the burger was juicy. The lettuce was crispy and the tomatos were fresh. Great Cheese too. Nice little office diner. Not like the dive in that was open late during my younger days in North York area.

I don't know if John Anderson Hamburger is still owned by the family of John Anderson, but this particular location is a good old fashioned hamburger joint. Tucked in a business plaza at the north east corner of 14th Avenue and Warden Avenue, John Anderson is as unnoticeable as can be. I ordered a home burger ($6; cheese $0.50 extra) and a coffee ($1.50). The burger was made to order. The patty was so big that it covered the complete face of the bun. It was not dry at all, and it was tasty. I asked for all toppings, and the staff was not stingy in piling them up. The coffee was good; it woke me up. In addition to hamburger, JA also sells salad, sandwich, poutine, Greek food such as gyros and souvlaki, chicken finger, etc.. For breakfast, JA has egg/bacon/toast type of breakfast as well as pastries. This small store is a Jack of all trades. Just a note that the owner is a Greek gentleman, so I suspect that the Greek entrees are okay. The staffs were very friendly and quick behind the counter. The decor looks like the store used to be a donut shop. It has many tables. It does not have the vibe of a hamburger joint, but the store is clean, so it is competent as a lunch stop. Customers kept walking in during my short 30-minute stay. They all ordered the home burger and poutine. I figure that a good hamburger joint is always a neighbourhood favourite. They accept Visa and Mastercard. Overall, a solid 3.5 stars hamburger joint.

Best burger in Markham. Great taste. The patty has an intrinsic flavour that adds to the layer of flavours. My favourite burger now.

Little burger for takeout 3. Poutine for takeout The food was top notch. I thoroughly enjoyed the patties and their flavourful beef. There was a Maillard reaction which added to the smash burgers effect. I would say the these burgers are better than Fresh burgers which I frequently visit. But If I had to choose I would prefer to come here to five guys burgers from now on. It just had that "je me said quoi" "I don't know" better food experience. The service was also efficient. They had 3 workers working in unison. One at the cash, one on the grill and one doing fries and packaging. It worked perfectly. All in all I will definitely be back and I recommend this franchise for all your smash burger cravings.

I found 6ix Burgers offering various BOGO deals on burgers. I got the Argonauts burger combo. The Argos burger is indeed named after the Canadian Football League's team in Toronto. It consists of a beef patty stuffed with cheese. You select all topics you want to your heart's content. The combo defaults to fries and a drink. You can swap out the fries for other sides, such as mac and cheese, and jalapenos poppers. This place names its burgers after familiar Toronto sports teams, streets, highways, and landmarks. For instance, there's a DVP sandwich, which is a sunny-side-up egg and beef bacon with cheese. It's named after the Don Valley Parkway, a highway that is commonly known as the Don Valley parking lot because it's so congested with cars at a standstill during rush hour. Maybe it's not the best to name an item after the DVP. I'd still get this sandwich, though. I love bacon and an egg as a sandwich and more. I scheduled my food for pickup between 4 pm and 4:30 pm. I placed my order in Stouffville. It was ready just before 4 pm. Um, okay. This place is more than punctual! It made me run ten minutes late getting down to Markham. 6ix Burgers is in a plaza that I used to frequent often perhaps over a decade ago. It is located where Burger Factory used to be. I'm a bit sad that it closed. I never dropped by and I wish that I had. The Burger Factory that I go to the most is by my workplace in Mississauga. Despite the huge mounds of snow in the parking lot, I found a parking spot fairly close to the eatery and backed into it. I then walked into the place. There were to people sitting in a booth, waiting for their food. It was a good sign. I walked up to the counter, stated my name, and said that I had an Uber Eats order. The nice woman handed me a bag with a paper bag in it. She let me know that my food was in this bag and I could help myself to a couple of drinks in the fridge. I thanked her and wished her a good day. There was Barbican bottles in the fridge. I had specified Diet Coke and felt that it works best with burgers, so I got that instead. The Diet Coke was at the bottom. It's the perfect height for toddlers, but not for me! Anyway, I grabbed my drinks and placed them in my bag of food. I drove home for a super late lunch at practically 5 pm. I was ready for grub. Let's start with the fries. Although they looked limp and needed some sort of fries ressusitation, they were good. They had the right amount of seasoning. They were slightly crispy and limp, but creamy on the inside. I normally don't dig fries, but these were so good with the salt that I ate them without the ketchup that was in the bag. The Argos burger. If you like Burger Factory, think of this burger as the Juicy Lucy. The burger has cheddar cheese stuffed in it. You take a bite and the cheese oozes out. Highly delightful, yet messy, to eat. The beef was seasoned well. I got 6ix sauce, ketchup, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and relish on my burger. I loved everything about it. The bun was soft and perfect to hold everything inside. Yum! I wish that I had added beef bacon, but this burger certainly hit the spot. All items on the menu are halal. This place was a great find. I hope to try the mac and cheese bites, or even mac and cheese as a side next time. I'm a fan. (51)

It's…read morereally gone downhill - maybe a change in staff/chef, but the food just isn't the same anymore. We used to love getting their Mac and cheese mutton rolls - they used to be so flavourful and a great fusion short eat. We were in the area and got their Mac n Cheese Mutton Rolls as well as their Butter Chicken Rolls and I can't express how disappointed we were. The Mac n Cheese Mutton rolls were underwhelming - it was as though they just added macaroni pasta to the mutton curry filling. It wasn't cheesy/creamy like it used to be. The filling was also underseasoned - missing salt, just not flavourful at all. The butter chicken roll was okay, again underseasoned. For $2.50 a roll, I expected a LOT better. We also got the Chicken Briyani. It didn't come with all the fixings like the Briyanis used to - no boiled egg, no fish cutlet. The rice was bland - almost like it was just rice and turmeric. The chicken curry was underseasoned like the rolls, not enough salt or flavour. The tandoori chicken leg was the only decent thing from this meal. The meal was disappointing, I regret buying it. Lastly, we got the viral banana pudding. I fell in looooove with banana pudding since I first had it from Confused Kitchen. This time, it wasn't bad but it wasn't the same. There weren't enough vaippan pieces and it wasn't as creamy as when it first came out. Again, I think they may have changed chefs because it's very obvious that the quality of food isn't the same as it used to be. I want to be able to give it another chance but I don't see myself coming back anytime soon.
