My visit was wonderful. The staff was friendly, and knowledgeable about my health insurance and how to apply them to my bill. The facilities were clean and everyone very conscious about going the extra bit for Covid 19 concerns. My experience was great. I was early for my appt and they were closed for lunch. They let me in anyway to wait inside which was wonderful since it was a very hot day. Office is very nice, staff was wonderful and Dr.Fleming was great and funny. They informed me up front what my insurance did or didn't cover and worked with my budget. I found this exam to be very thorough and comprehensive and I appreciated the doctor's explanations to my questions regarding the status of my eyes. First thing I have to say is EXPENSIVE. Over $500 for a single pair of bifocals, and the frames weren't any designer label. ... Very thorough exam, very friendly and knowledgeable people. Waited 3 weeks for my new glasses to come in. They didn't have the type of tint I had ordered, so I waited another three weeks. With that pair, the two lenses weren't compatible, causing some really weird views through them. Another two weeks after that, I finally got the glasses I needed. It too WAY TOO LONG and it was WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. read more

Let me start by saying that I have been coming here for years. The office is nice enough, and the staff is very friendly. One thing I learned from my past exams is that they will do a retina imaging as part of your exam, however insurance does not cover this and it will cost you and extra $50 in addition to your regular exam copay of say $20. They do not warn you about this or ask if it is OK before doing it, you will just get the bill at the end and your $20 exam is suddenly costing you $70. On my most recent visit to get my prescription checked and updated for new glasses I told the staff that I was going to skip the retina imaging this year before they did it because of the extra cost (I cannot afford the extra expense right now). I was asked to return to the waiting area by the staff member that was performing the imaging tests while they talked to the Doctor. I was then told that THE DOCTOR REFUSED TO SEE ME because I wouldn't do the retina imaging! So I had left work an hour early, went to my appointment, and WAS DENIED CARE because I didn't want to be charged for additional services that are not covered by insurance and was therefore not able not get my prescription checked! That is outrageous! I was told that the Doctor feels strongly about the importance of the retina imaging to check eye health, which is fine, but I should still be allowed the option to decline this service and still get my prescription! If the Doctor really cares so much about it that he REQUIRES it, then he shouldn't charge so much to do it, and should still give people the choice. Needless to say I WILL NOT BE RETURNING to Dr. Fleming who would kick a patient to the curb who refuses to line his pockets. He obviously really cares about is patients. read more

I and many of my other family members have been going to Dr. Flemings office for quite a few years now. It is the same experience over and over again...WONDERFUL! Very thorough...not rushed eye exams from Dr. Fleming, he gives you the proper amount of time you need. His Staff members which include Jeff and Sally are super warm and knowledgeable about eye insurance and the selection of frames. There are so many great frames to choose from. I always wish I could buy at least 2-3 pairs at a time. Designer or Name Brands....something for everbody! If you love Swarovski Crystals they have some very special frames that really stand out. The Vera Wang selection is fantastic too! (My Fav). I feel that my eyes are really getting the proper care they need and my prescriptions are always accurate. I have been seeing Dr. Fleming for years and have always been happy until today. I was told by his front desk staff that my insurance no longer covers Retinal Photography as part of my exam and that it would be a $40 charge. I said I would prefer to skip the Retinal Photography and just do the parts that are covered by insurance. Well, I was told that "Dr. Fleming does not practice without doing Retinal Photography." Basically, pay the fee or leave. I'm not sure how having no exam is better than a partial exam and I am very angry that they wasted my time this morning. I have seen Dr. Fleming for the past 15 plus years. He is very professional and really takes care of you while perfoming the check up. He does not up sell any of his products nor advise you to pure chase any thing you do not need. Instead, he advises and wxplains what you need based on his findings after he has completes his exam. If he feels there is no drastic change in the current perscription all you pay for is the exam. He is very thorough and shows you rhe pictures of your eye both past and present and explains to you in layme s terms so you understand exactly what he is saying so that should he reccomend an additional purchase you can see for yourself why he is making the reccomendatio. I would highly reccomend Dr. Flemming. His staff is very profeesional and patient orientated. His office takes walk ins to repair eye glasses with out an appointment and you do not have to be a current patient.
