I called Anthony and he dropped everything, came right over and challenged everything she had told us. It was very clear to me within 1 minute of him showing up that this girl had no clue what she was talking about and she scurried out as fast as she could. Anthony checked everything and reassured us that everything was in working order and running fine. He refused to let me send him any money. My husband and I are so grateful to have a plumber and hvac person that we can trust and doesn't take advantage. It is clear he stands by his work and knows what he's doing! I had an issue with the diagnosis of a HVAC unit (Cooling Issue Only) and the estimate provided was SOOO far from the actual that it is probably illegal in most states. His tech spent 4 hours on the phone with the manufacture and another 2 hours to clear the code and install the part, that when I checked with other Manufactures and Plumbers, told me should have taken 15 minutes... and ROSS wanted to bill me for that time at $150 an hour!! Are you Kidding me??? It is NOT my fault that your technician does not know how to clear a code on a standard Carrier Unit or install a simple part...Yes, I said Carrier, one of the biggest Manufactures of HVAC units in the world! I then called Ross to give him an opportunity to explain and correct the billing, service issue and estimate issue and he was unable and unwilling to. I asked him for an Itemized Bill so that I could see the cost of the part he claims to have replaced, and he told me that he could not provide one as his billing system "Bakes all of the factors into one price" What??? What reputable company does this kind of deceptive Billing??? I will tell you... NO reputable company bills like this!! Need I go on?? He stopped by and gave us a quote which was very comparable to other quotes we received. We decided to go with Michael and a few days later (before our scheduled installation date) our boiler/heating system completely broke and we had no hot water. He again stopped by and looked it and offered to try to fix it temporarily. We appreciated the offer but we just waited for the scheduled installation date that we had already set. Michael had said it would take 3 days to install and it took 3 days. He arrived on time every day and worked all day in the very hottest of days. His subcontractor/electricians came on the last day and they were polite and on time. We asked them for their business cards in case we needed future electrical work. My honest review- (First the good) True Blue installed a new FHA furnace in my home in 2016. All…read moregood, very professional. I was repeatedly told it had a 10 year warranty. Fast forward 9 years, it stops working. I emailed True Blue and Steve (owner) now tells me that there was only a 5 year warranty ( I even sent them the warranty card that I registered) He did send his guy right out. Joey was very nice. He cleaned the igniter and it fired right up (but only 1 time). It took him about 20 minutes total. Joey recommended they we replace igniter and flame sensor because they were "only sold in pairs" (this was not true as you will see in the photos). (Now for the bad) I had previously researched the parts, which were $41.00 for both. I asked Joey how much it would cost to replace both the igniter & flame sensor. He said that he called his office and they said $829.00. Really? For a 45-minute job? I asked Joey to break down the parts and labor and he said "I can't do that". I then asked "that must be about 5 hours of labor, right? (they charge $145/hour) He was very hesitant to answer but replied "maybe 3 or 4 hours labor". I paid True Blue $145 (1-hour min charge) and he left. So much for taking care of a loyal customer. I ended up calling another company. They came out and did a complete tune up. They charged me $165 total for everything, including the new parts. They also confirmed that my parts were in fact under warranty (but not the labor) . I am one of those people who is very loyal to a company that takes good care of me. In this instance, I 100% believe that True Blue was trying to take advantage of me.
