Emily was able to translate my rambling vision into something tangible. She is truly adept at balancing when to offer helpful context and guidance, when to share her opinion, and when to let you come to your own decision. All this allowed me to sort through my thoughts and wants, while ensuring my decisions were well vetted! She is endlessly patient (we went multiple times and asked a LOT of questions), and best of all, she listens to what you say and helps you understand what it really is you're looking for. She was also honest about what tradeoffs matter and when you can cut corners. The other notable thing about Rebekah Brooks--besides being a female-owned local business--is the aesthetic and style of the jewelry itself. If you are looking for something dainty and delicate with hints of vintage quality in a modern application, this is your place. (They can do less dainty too, but I found it hard to find other jewelers who achieved this quality.) And if you're on the fence, go in to look firsthand at the jewelry; it was a much different experience seeing it in person versus online, especially as their metals have a really beautiful and unique tone. It's no surprise that we also got our wedding bands from Rebekah Brooks, and we received the same great customer service. It was so special to have the Rebekah Brooks team on our side throughout this whole journey, and we feel so fortunate to have a place we were able to form a relationship with. A few months ago, my boyfriend told me that he wanted to propose but, because I had to wear the ring, I should get one I really wanted. And this began the tedious task of engagement ring shopping. My friend and I went to quite a few shops and were either pressured on me giving a date I'd want the ring or dismissed/not taken seriously. By the time we arrived at this store, I was discouraged. But then I met Paul! To say that Paul is a gentleman is an understatement. Paul showed us beautiful diamonds and took the time to explain the different factors that went into selecting a diamond. At no point during this process did he pressure me or did I feel that he wasn't taking me seriously because I was wearing my Phantom of the Opera sweatshirt. When I ultimately picked my diamond (which is a two step process-diamond then setting), he quoted and honored the quote which was approximately $1500 less than the other stores. Probably most importantly, he never called or harassed my fiancé to pick up or pay for the ring. This cannot be an easy time for men. My fiancé was very grateful that he was allowed to go at his own pace. Thank you Paul for making my special day extra special. We look forward to reconnecting with you when we look at wedding bands.

He was genuinely interested in crafting the ring I wanted as opposed to trying to sell me on something from a large stock. We designed the ring together; Anthony listened to the ideas I had to give this special ring a personal touch and brought them to life. He does all of the work himself which is all the more impressive, and it helps save on costs. Since that first time where I got the engagement ring, I've returned to Boston Platinum four more times for big life events that require a one of a kind gift--most recently, my 10 year anniversary.
