John Que's BBQ is the best. I was introduced to his smokeout on site deliciousness with a few catered lunches on a TV set the summer of 2024. There is something about walking outside on a warm day to the aroma of a smokeout and for it to be matched with a plate of meats cooked to mouthwatering goodness and sides that are a perfect balance. In 2025 my wife and I hired John for a large backyard party we were having. He was immediately on board to help create a wonderful afternoon for our friends and family. He was upfront on costs (and very fair) and even took into consideration the vegetarians and kids we had in attendance. We will absolutely hire him in the future. Everyone loved it. We paid for a meal and all we got was a sandwich because someone dropped the ball and did not bring any of the sides and on top of that some of the buns were soggy and wet. They were so nice! SO incredibly nice and it was really easy to set up. They also came almost 30 minutes early which was very nice as well. I ordered brisket/burnt ends, chicken, mac and cheese, beans, and coleslaw. They also gave us some bread and salad which was great. You may be wondering why I only gave three stars...the food to me was just okay. The brisket was very tough and I was unable to eat the burnt ends as they were not tender and I was afraid of losing a bracket from my braces. Also the mac and cheese was underdone and the cheese was not melted so I had to put it in the oven to get it to finish cooking. The chicken was really good as well as the beans. Both the coleslaw and the baked beans were worthy of second helpings. One bit of advice if you attend an event they are catering: get in line early.
