Classic, neighborhood staple. We tried the classics: pastrami in a hot dog bun and chili cheese dog with the works. Friendly and fast service. Def going to try some of the vegetarian options, turkey burger and salmon burgers. Great menu with a variety of options. Def give them a try and support local small businesses!
Went by just before closing. Service was good, and quick. We ordered a chili dog, a chili pastrami dog, chili cheese fries and a carrot cake. The hot dogs were good, the fries could have been cooked a little longer and either the fries or chili had a slight burnt taste to it. You can watch them make your food. They have tables and seats inside and outside. I don't notice until today when I looked at my receipt that the pastrami chili cheese dog was $17. Kind of pricey. Plenty of parking on Crenshaw or in the rear.
Got a Beef Jumbo Dog (mustard and chili) and a can of Coke. The bun was toasted. The hot dog had more seasoning flavor than beef flavor. From what I saw on Google, EOC uses RC Provisions Chili Con Carne Base as the foundation for their famous chili. I have actually bought the 5lb tube of RC Provisions Chili Con Carne from Smart & Final to make chili at home. The chili at EOC had a thin/medium consistency. I can taste the RC Provisions chili and a medium/heavy smoky aftertaste. Service was very friendly. Expect a little bit of a wait since the food is grilled to order. Dining is available both inside and outside. EOC is located in Crenshaw Square, which has plenty of parking in back of the center.
First time here. Had a little challenge ordering as the person was brand new. I got a mustard, relish, onion, all beef hot dog on wheat bread and a mustard and sour kraut beef dog on wheat. I appreciate that they have a flavored water option that they make and only charge $1 for. The dogs were tasty, but the wheat bun was a little dry. The water was good. The other staff were pleasant and helpful. I'll be back to try other things!

Nice to see Earle, and meet his mother who stopped to talk to my grandson. Good service! Everyone was very nice. We all said we'd return!
Great Food with Great Vegan Options!! I always look forward to a place that serves comfort food with Vegan Options so my daughter and I can enjoy the experience. Earle's on Crenshaw did not disappoint!! We both had the chill dogs...mine was Vegan. It was a tasty and messy experience which we both enjoyed. I also ordered a slice of Vegan Lemon Cake to go which I truly enjoyed The service was friendly and welcoming. I grew up in this neighborhood and it was so nice to be back!! The outdoor seating is great and gives you a sense of the neighborhood. I will definitely be back.

The standout for me was definitely the Spicy Beef Link Earle's Way, it was absolutely amazing. The beef link had great flavor, the chili and onions complemented it perfectly, and it lived up to the hype. The Turkey Burger was juicy and flavorful, and the Pastrami Chili Cheese Fries were loaded with toppings and tasted good, though they were just a little on the salty side for my taste. The customer service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and the food came out quickly. I also liked the ambiance, it had a laid back neighborhood feel with cool decor and a clean dining area that made it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. I also love how there was a lot of parking in the back. Overall, I'd definitely come back, especially for that Spicy Beef Link. If you're visiting for the first time, that's the item I'd recommend trying.

Staff are nice the environment is very efficient and chill. I ordered a beef link with chili, cheese, relish and pickles. It was soooo gooood. I got some fries which were steak fries and they were seasoned to perfection. Lastly. I got the German chocolate cake and pecan pie. Uh, yes sir to the chocolate cake, its Tasty as well. The pecan pie was ok but all in all, good bite and good vibes

My daughter took a few bites & said she didn't like the pastrami or the taste of the chili which was pretty bland. I Finished mine but It was nothing to brag about. Looking for a small , nice spot with good food?? Earls is your place!! I couldn't believe the prices and the food was delicious.. the place is busy but it moves fast. Friendly staff a the place was clean with beautiful pictures all over the walls.. they even have a tv and drawing area for smaller children .. I would definitely go back.. this has been on my list to try for awhile now .. don't forget to try the banana pudding
About 20 yrs ago I attended an event at Griffith park. There was a pop up tent selling hot dogs. I remember how delicious the hot dog was. A guy gave me a white and blue business card and said they did catering. I finally got to make it here and dauuuummmmm the hot dog remains as delicious as when I first tried it. The chili cheese fries were bomb!!!! The whole meal was tasty and satisfying. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. That's what's up!!!! Uhhhhh.....YUM!!!!
Hot dogs are pretty standard, but the vibes are superb. Whatever you do - order the banana pudding!
Got the beef dog with cooked onions and beef chili on top and it was honestly pretty good. The hot dog had plenty of flavor and the chili and onions were a great combo. It was a little expensive for a hot dog, but I can definitely see why the place gets so much hype. The service was decently fast without feeling rushed, and the inside has a really homey, old school vibe that makes the whole experience feel more special. There are also plenty of options on the menu if you want something besides a hot dog. read more

Now I can see why Earle's is a staple here in Crenshaw. Simple concept, great food, just like how food was meant to be. I personally dove into the spicy beef link with some smothered onions and ketchup and mustard on a white bun, and I have to say I hit the spot. They have a lot of other toppings available, like sauerkraut, relish, jalapeños, mayo, etc.. Also growing up in the southeast part of Florida, you don't see a lot of Jamaican food around here. They sell both veggie, chicken, and beef Jamaican Patty. I got one of those beef patties too, and it did not disappoint. If you're in the Crenshaw area and you want a reasonable lunch that you don't find everywhere else. Come to Earle's read more

Dang, that was a great hotdog. I ordered a jumbo beef dog with mayo, tomato, beef chili, raw onion and mustard on white bread. The chile was really good - not too salty or oily. The combo of topping I chose worked soooo good together. I loved the combo of the chile and tomato. Made it nice and juicy! The hot god was delicious with a deep, savory beefy flavor. Before we get to the food, I just want to acknowledge the staff. Literally every person I encountered was upbeat , professional and hospitable! Before I could get on the door good, the owner welcomed me with a greeting. This was my first visit and the lady who took my order was very patient and have recommendations. We tried the salmon burger Earle's way, chili cheese pastrami fries, chicken & beef patties and a coffee cake. The salmon patty and all toppings were super fresh and delicious! I will definitely order it again. Chili cheese fries are a must try. We had a Playa Punch(red kool-aid) to wash it down. I love that the drinks are refillable at no extra charge. Saved the patties for last and let me say..... Earle told no lies when he said that he makes the best patties! So good and you can tell quality ingredients are used. I used to think Pink's was the best chili dog in L.A. but I hadn't been to Earle's yet - there's a new #1 on my L.A. Chili Dog list! Earle's is top notch quality food, customer service, and atmosphere! Earle is a G.O.A.T. - talks with everybody while in line and/or while sitting and eating and explains the menu options. He even brought us out a free salmon burger to try. How does a chili dog restaurant have the best dang Salmon I've ever tasted?!?! That sandwich was fire! Even beats all the ways salmon was served on an Alaskan Cruise! I still have to try quite a few other chili in L.A. but I can't imagine anything keeping Earle's from being top-3. read more

Was in the area intentionally to try this long time community staple for the very first time. Was wanting to try their vegan menu for a first meal and early dinner for the day. The service was absolutely refreshing. Dwayne and Staff were more than hospitable and welcoming. The energy and ambiance was a buzz with excitement as well as joy. And that's a rarity you don't typically experience combined. One of the hosts (Quentavia) added to the experience of Earls On Crenshaw with an infectious genuine smile and aura that I will never forget. Ordered the Vegan Chili with Vegan Cheese Vegan Link Dog on a Wheat Bun (With Mustard, Royal (red) Onions, Jalapeños, and Ketchup) and the Vegan Chili Vegan Cheese Fries (with Jalapeños). Also, (since I already had Ketchup on my Link), I ordered the 'Ol School Coffee Cake. Watching my sugar intake these days. The Vegan Chili Vegan Cheese Vegan Link Dog was delicious. Enjoyed the textures and was simply a great tasting Link. The Vegan Chili Vegan Cheese Fries were another top notch experience. Tasty, fulfilling, and I would surely return for them again. Earls offers a house made cold Cucumber Spearmint and Lemon infused water to wash it down. Delish as well. Was able to catch Dwayne (an owner) as I was heading out. We had a short conversation that turned out with him preparing and sharing with myself and other patrons a Vegan Cheese Burger (impossible patty) with deep fried stringy Onions that was delicious. A great gesture adding to why Earls On Crenshaw is highly regarded. I included a video with Dwayne of Earls On Crenshaw himself breaking down that their Chili Cheese Fries are the Best in town. Later after reaching my destination. I opened the Coffee Cake and let's just say I was floored with the aromas of fresh Coffee Cake filling the space of the room. Cinnamon and Vanilla flowed lusciously from the packaging that got me excited. Visions of freshly made Coffee Cake (just like in the Junior High School Cafeteria) was nostalgic saying the least. And tasted so good. Gotta get another and heat it up next time. Gratitude and give thanks Dwayne Quentavia Staff and Earls on Crenshaw for a fabulously memorable first time meal experience. I've been patronizing Earl, since 1987 when he had the hotdog cart on the side of then the Crenshaw Swap meet- long before the mall was built. He has always given service with a smile and good food. I ordered my usual tonight for myself and my daughter, the famous vegan chili cheese fries with regular cheese + extra cheese. We got all the way home, ready to dig in and discovered they were beef chili cheese fries and a small amount I will add. Pissed was not word! I went looking for the receipt and saw that I was actually charged for beef chili cheese fries although I said vegan chili cheese fries with extra cheese. Maybe I can be tracked by my name and you would see that I have never ordered beef chili cheese fries in all my time of ordering this food. I usually pay my bill and never bother to look back at the receipt or keep it but for some reason this time I did. The guy who rang me up did not look familiar- I assume he's the "new guy". -You have to try Earle's! Oh my goodness, we were in the area and heard great things about Earle's - WOW! From the amazing customer service when you walk in, to the vibe inside and yummy food - I give it 10/10 stars. My only regret is not going sooner. I usually snap photos of our food but we were so in awe at how good it was we didn't snap food pics lol. We had the beef chili cheese dog and a slice of red velvet cake. We ate outside on such a beautiful sunny day too! Trust me when I tell you, you are going to love it! & so crazy today is Kobe's birthday and we saw a mural of him next to Earle's. I've been wanting to try Earle's for quite some time. It did not disappoint. I took my family who is visiting and they were so happy. We stopped by and tried this place out. The service was great we were greeted and immediately given recommendations seeing how this was our first time there. I tried the turkey burger, which is a must. The rest of the family got hot dogs and they were just as good as advertised. Plenty of outdoor seating in case you want to bring the pups along. Great local spot. read more

It was amazing. I'd never been to Crenshaw before, so I was skeptical about going at night. I already checked out the area in my pre-assessment (lol), and everything was all good. It was the best restaurant experience I've had in a long time. Don't hesitate to try this place. It's the real deal, and after reading some history about them, it's clear why they are top-notch. read more

I have been waiting to check out this place. I finally was able to when I visited the city. It is everything that everyone has been saying it definitely meets the hype. The service was amazing and they were super patient while we ask questions about the menu that play a punch is a game changer. It's super cute and sigh with lots of decor of LA memorabilia you can eat outside or they have a couple of seats inside. The chili cheese dog was absolutely amazing. The chili cheese fries was bomb double layered and the pastrami was super tender. I highly recommend it and I definitely will be back! I didn't get to try the peach cobbler because my husband ate it before I got a chance to taste it. But he ate it all so I guess that means it was good! read more

The vegan chocolate and lemon cakes were good, but they're missing that umph factor. They're way too dense and honestly taste like they came straight from a box... except I think their homemade? The vegan chili was bland and seriously underwhelming--especially for $7.49 for a small, underfilled container. That part felt like a ripoff. And the fries? Boy did those stink--really bad. Like, unpleasant enough to kill the vibe. The playas punch, though, was super tart but I actually liked it. It tastes like straight-up tart candy . My first time at Earle's on Crenshaw, it was a good experience. I ordered over the phone and it was ready, bagged and stapled by the time I got there which was nice. The employees were pleasant. Everyone seemed content and smiling. They were very helpful and willing to explain the items on the menu. I ordered two vegan hotdog and fries. Both are Field Roast vegan dogs one had chili and cheese. The other had mustard and onions oh, and the fries were thick and delicious. Ps, field rose is a good choice for vegan dogs. They're sturdier and don't tend to be mushy. There's a lot to catch your eye on the inside of the restaurant. I didn't have time to look at everything and read stuff because I was on my lunch hour. Well some German chocolate cake did catch my eye so I did not neglect that, but I forgot to take a picture of it. Anyway I'll be back to Earle's on Crenshaw one day. read more

First time at Earle's and what a treat! We were fortunate to have met the infamous Earl himself to get the historical rundown on the business that everyone is talking about! Earle's has a rich history that believes in community enrichment and provides good food for the soul. Our order of 2 veggie burgers, fries and 2 desserts was a little pricey, but to be fair, we just moved to LA from South Africa 2 days ago, so EVERYTHING in the US seems exceptionally pricey. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our take-away order, and will certainly dine in on our next visit! The food was amazing, fresh ingredients and bold flavors worth returning for. The staff were friendly and the ambiance had a laidback and positive vibe. There was a small bookshelf with free books and newspapers/fliers with community news and upcoming events. The was also a small case with Earle's merch (hoodies, t-shirts, hats, etc.) and the greatest surprise of all, games. We couldn't resist purchasing CRENSHAW OPOLY- IYKYK. Ultimately, the game was fun and packed with cultural knowledge, similar to our first experience at EARLE'S! read more

Great chili and dogs! I loved the toppings they put on the dog it was so yummy. The chilli cheese fries were definitely packed which is a good bang for your buck in this economy. There are a lot of onion bits so if you're not a big fan of them it's probably best to let them know. The outdoor seating is perfect, I was able to enjoy my meal with my dog under the shaded umbrellas. read more
