I have an older pickup truck which had two broken leaf springs. Due to the difficulties in finding parts and the overall condition of the truck--lots of rust-- my regular mechanic recommended John R Spring. Upon arriving I dealt primarily with Chris, who discussed the possible options and asked about my timing; how soon did I need the truck? They had it for two days, replaced the broken leaves and associated hardware at a reasonable price, and I was on my way. It's been a few days and things are good. ive Been in the snow business for 10 years and never experienced something so upsetting from my dealers as this. First significant snow fall all winter. Plow was pouring out hydro fluid. Just had to make it through the rest of the day. Called to ask what time they would be closed and the situation. The guy over the counter said "we are closing and locking the doors at 3pm" and laughed at me, even after I explained what was going on. I have spent thousands of dollars at this place on new plows and repairs over the years and won't spend another penny there again. Pretty sure the guy was drunk. I've been a staple in the city of Troy for lawn and snow for 10 years and have made friends with different companies in and around the city and the word will be out that these guys don't have your back. Terrible customer service. I've never written a review in my entire life but this instance broke that camels back. Weingartz is a 100 times better only further away and in bad weather made it tough to get out there. read more

I went in a few weeks ago to get some repairs done to my car considering I'm going to be at my parents for a few weeks I had to make sure everything was OK. When I went in they seemed nice enough - they gave me a quote (which they stuck to) and didn't' pressure me to agree to have it done with them. They took longer than expected to get the part (not their fault) but despite charging $70 an hour the noise my car was making was not fixed. Also my quote was for 40 minutes of work, and despite getting my car done in 30 minutes they charged me for the full 40 minutes. Once I read my receipt in the car (my fault - should have read it inside) I realize they don't guarantee their work. Awesome. Thanks guys. I know NOT to come back. I only gave them two stars and not one because they were nice enough not to pressure me into working with them (I was stupid enough to all on my own). read more

These guys came referred to me by another friend who owns a truck. I had a terrible squeek/chirping noise coming from the front end of my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. Took it in to these guys to have the strut mount replaced. They did a great job, were very nice and the job ended up actually being cheaper than their estimate over the phone! They finished the work very quickly, with no problems. It can be tough to find good, honest mechanics, let alone a good front end service shop, but these guys are it! When I picked up my truck, I saw a fire engine waiting outside--assuming they were coming in for some work, I'll say that is another good sign of a great front end shop. I have 35" mud tires on my truck, so I expect I will need more front end work done at some point in the future, and will definitely be returning to these guys for the work! read more

I was looking to add leaf springs to my new truck. I called Mon, July 1st to see if they would be open on Fri July 5th. They stated that they didn't know yet. I called the next day and they still didn't know. I called the corp office and they didn't know either and said that it was the shop managers decision. I emailed the shop manager and asked if they would be open Fri the 5th or Sat the 6th. I got no reply. I called Wed July 3rd and asked the shop again if they would be open the 5th. After complaining to me about my contact attempts he stated YES we will be open. I arranged a ride to/from their shop on the 5th and they were closed when I got there. Their customer service is a joke. I have taken my personal vehicles as well as my company vehicles there for many years. That stopped on Fri the 5th. My truck has already been serviced elsewhere and they have lost a long time customer. A note to the arrogant phone person at the shop. GOODBYE.. read more

Rip off to start off with. David was not friendly at all. Had got my shocks and springs installed which took 7 hours(5 hours most). So when i went in and asked if the car was done he had told me it took alil longer and there doing the alignment right now so 45 mins later i asked again he told me they just started working on the rear. Thats when i got pissed. Alignment shouldnt take this long(30mins at belle tire) i got it done. Plus they said i would have rubbing issues. Belle tire? all done no rubbing. All said and done david isnt an honest man. He would tell you this and that when none is true. 7 hours and paid $535 which wasnt even done yet. read more
