Kudos to LARRY at O'REILLY's Auto Parts! He greeted me with a friendly smile when I entered the store on 14 mile. I needed a battery & he quickly got his battery tester & proceeded to check out my 2018 Ford Explorer battery. He confirmed that the battery was bad and he would normally install the new battery for no charge, but there was a problem. The right battery terminal was corroded and needed replacement, which he could not do. The terminal costs $16, battery was about $235. I just stormed out of DEAN SELLERS FORD because they wanted to charge me $1,100 for the same job. Larry was very helpful & accommodating. He said he knew a mechanic who could install the battery terminal down the street & gave me his number. Larry also said he would not care if I purchased the battery from O'REILLY's or the mechanic. Well, I had to spend money at O'REILLY's after Larry was so nice to me. The battery replacement and terminal repair ($45) took less than an hour. Long story short, Larry is an exceptional employee & O'REILLY's should be proud he works for.... O, O, O, O'REILLY's AUTO PARTS! OW!!! read more

I like O Reilys for Auto Parts because they are friendly and the prices are good. This location is on Woodward right as you enter Clawson. If you are going shopping at Trader Joe's this location is in the same parking lot. Parking is hard to get but service is quite friendly. If you need help diagnosing a problem or getting some fluid in your car or even changing wiper blades, they have no problem coming out and lending a hand. The counter people are rude and incompetent at the Clawson, Michigan location. I placed my purchase and the money on the counter and stepped back. Instead of ringing me up, the employee said "do you want to buy some grease?". I said no thank you. He persisted and said "do you have grease at home?". I came in to order brakes and rotors for my Audi and the guy was obviously annoyed we came in but then when I asked about the drilled and slotted rotors he questioned if it was worth it for such a shitty car. First off my car is not shit. I worked hard for it and I take pride in my A6. Then his co worker pitched in with the insults and I couldn't believe it. He then had the guts to pitch me his highest brand items and tell me it'd take 6 business days to get. No thanks. I'd rather go to Napa. This is for the 6 mile and Newburgh location. read more

If I could give NO stars I would. Looking for OBD1 Euro and they have it! Great! But you have to use it in the parking lot. Well the car doesn't run and we need codes, offered to leave credit card (we live a mile away) and return it within the hour. No deal. As a matter of fact, the employees were rude, condescending and almost teasing with the device. We purchased wires from there this past weekend for the car, and I can guarantee with service and employees like this, we will NOT be back. I recently had knee surgery and am unable to lift anything heavy. I badly needed my car battery replaced, but didn't have the tools or the ability to do it myself. Dave was super great!!! He took out my old battery and put in my new one for me. He even put some spray over the connection to keep it from corroding. Called for a part - they told me they'd have it in by 3:00 pm. Called at 3:15, told part would be there at 4:00, called at 4:30 - was told it would be there by 5:30 at the latest. I planned my repair based on the part being there WHEN THEY SAID IT WOULD BE. It's now nearly 7:00 p.m. - car is torn apart in my yard, and still no part. I'm pretty angry - Don't TELL me - guarantee ME a part will be in - then not deliver on that. I won't be shopping there again. I went to get some 5w-20 motor oil for my car and would have been forced to buy the most expensive or use an oil weight not for my car. I would think since ford has pretty much switched all it's car fleet to this weight that you could find an abundance. not so. plus they don't even carry a fram air filter or oil filter for a ford fusion? they have the micro guard products which suck, stay away from them. I enjoy changing the oil myself, i know i'm in the minority there, but i guess im old school. just would like the opportunity of picking my own products i'm loyal to. Since murray's became oreilly's they really suck. Not this store, all of them. their workers are fine, but's it's awkward when they are uncomfortable trying to get you to pick another, possibly inferior product. And it's downright annoying when they try to push their made in china store brand on you. If i didn't know car products i wouldn't be in their store asking for SPECIFIC car products. i hope they get their act together and i'll try them again if i here better reviews, until then it's autozone from now on. read more
