Johnny B's Roadhouse Saloon So I haven't reviewed in a bit. I guess nothing worthy of my review but I have to praise Johnny B's Roadhouse. My husband has been wanting to come and try their updated menu. I couldn't be more impressed. I started with their specials drink "Peach on the beach" Malibu coconut rum mixed with peach nectar and tropical mango juice and a rim filled with Tajín. Oh my super yummy. My husband started with a braised Rip Tácito appetizer. I expected him to have 2 maybe 3 and was pleasantly surprised with the 5 that came out. They were amazing! Perfectly marinated meat with caramelized onions and cheese. It was perfectly wrapped in a flour wrap and perfectly grilled. It came with a delicious dip and garnished with tomatoes and jalapeños. I can't rave enough about these! For his main course, he had the mild boneless buffalo tenders. My husband said they cooked them perfectly for him. Just the right amount of sauce and chicken tenderness. I had the Rasta Pasta. Grilled teriyaki chicken with pasta in a yummy cream sauce. My starter was a Caesar salad that was mixed nicely for me. (I don't like when they serve the dressing on the side) We were stuffed and had to take our main meals to go after a couple of bites. If I could give zero stars, I would still ask for a negative rating option. Years ago, this was a great bar with great food, service, and pool/darts. Then it became a saloon, and while there was no more pool/darts, it was still great service and great food. The new owner took over not too long ago. Their Facebook posts are AI generated and the past 4 times I've have ordered, their staff has told us the specials we were asking for were not available at all. Tonight, their Facebook post with the specials said specific items were available; when we ordered at the restaurant we were told that the post was for lunch specials, despite there being ZERO indication that this was the case. The mussels were unavailable because it apparently ended at 3, they ran out of scallops, and forgot to pack my turkey club, which my partner caught. We waited 95 minutes for our order (which was ultimately incorrect). Our total was roughly $150 and we paid $22 for the posted "nachos". Their menu states there should be "fresh tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, shredded lettuce, salsa, and sour cream * Add Chicken +$7.00". As you can clearly see in the photo, we paid $22 for burnt chips with cheese and incredibly salty chicken. This is hands down, the worst experience we have had and as someone who has been going here for years, we will never be going here again. Absolutely awful. read more

Salad with grilled chicken was great, couldn't of asked for a more juicier perfectly grilled piece of chicken. Homemade blue cheese was delicious. The tenders ("boneless wings") were just OK, bland if you order them plain I'm sure they taste a lot better in the sauce. Theh have a thin coating on them. This restaurant is a bar/restaurant setting the food is great. They have great burgers and an amazing beef stew in a bread bowl meal. I haven't had a bad meal there and I have been there numerous times. The staff is friendly. The menu has variety of meals to choose from and if you are lucky enough to get a seat by the wood burning stove it feels great on those cold winter days/months. This is a bar / restaurant we come to often. They renovated during covid. The space used to be much more bar than restaurant. Since the renovation they have made it more family-friendly restaurant style. They have all types of food here from bar style bites to full steak dinners. Everything I've had has always been good. I'm a fan of the nachos, burgers and flatbreads. They also have a full bar and wide variety of beers and drink specials. And prices are very reasonable, lower than most other restaurants we go to. The staff is always very attentive and makes sure our meals are all as we requested. On weekend nights, sometimes you can find some good local bands and acoustic Duos playing here also. Along with all the sporting events on the many TVs surrounding the dining area The only reason I didn't not give five stars is, since the renovation they did away with all of the high top bar style tables and made the bar smaller. So when we want to go just hang out with friends we prefer standing around a high top table then sitting down in a booth or low table. read more

It has been years since I had set foot in Johnny B's. Johnny B's and I have a long history spanning decades. In my drinking days, it was one of my go to dive bars. However, in recent years, Johnny B's has undergone a transformation that has turned it into a destination local eatery. It's been hard for me to separate the two because of my history with this establishment. But this week, I cannot deny it any longer. Johnny B's is legit as a solid local eatery. Met one of my best friends recently for lunch. Started out with the sausage and broccoli rabe appetizer. Very, very good. Sautéed sausage, broccoli rabe, and potatoes in a savory sauce. Really enjoyed this dish. For my entree, had the country-fried steak with sausage gravy, sautéed vegetables, and loaded mashed potatoes. If I have to be honest, one of the better country fried steaks I have had. Perfectly cooked med-rare steak that was crisp and not overly greasy. Country gravy was fantastic and a perfect compliment to the steak. The loaded mashed potatoes were unexpectedly good. Have to give Johnny B's credit where credit is due. While it still commands a dive bar vibe, the food is anything but. Really solid meal, clean establishment, and great service. Look forward to coming back to dive deeper into the menu. read more

Raw oysters, Heathers Secret Sauce wings, the fried calamari with Gorgonzola cheese sauce (on the side) is amazing, burgers on and order the chicken nachos with fried instead of grilled chicken so yummy! I can't attest to the atmosphere but I got take out Prime Rib last night and I can tell you it was fantastic. The biggest Prime Rib ever and tender. It was close to 3 inches in places. The veggies, potato, and salad were great. The horseradish sauce was perfect with the Prime Rib all for $25. Definitely a do again! read more

Awesome food, the owners are awesome (i get free drink chips a lot) The BEST wings around, football and NASCAR wing special 25 wings and a Pitcher of beer for 13$ is MINT. 2 pool tables, 3 dart boards, lots of seating, DJ every week, Band every week, Dailt specials.... check it out yourself.....
