    Sweet and Sour Chicken small
    Mag T.

Still amazing. Cant beat the price for the portion size. Still my favorite take out spot. Chicken and broccoli and sweet and sour chicken are my favorite. The small size is $8 for each entree, comes with rice. Veggie egg roll also to die for.

Ever since our go to Chinese food place closed, we have tried several places to find our new favorite. This is probably the worse we have had so far....and most expensive. The chicken in the fried rice looks like undercooked, boiled chicken. The general change was very very dry, with no sauce for the white rice. The Chinese pizza was fluffy like a pastry, and food arrived cold. Waste of $55. Never again. Try elsewhere, johnny change is a awful Chinese food place. The good reviews must be from friends of the owners.

This is the sesame chicken I recently got. Dark, leathery, stringy. Inedible.

Used to love this place; it was my go-to for Chinese food. But the quality has plummeted. Their chicken is now all dark meat. The sesame chicken I just got is hard, dark, and leathery. Literally inedible.

We were lucky to secure 2 seats via online reservation for the 2nd seating at 8pm. Arriving 5 minutes before opening, we were directed to have a seat at one of the surrounding tables. We watched both servers efficiently clean up after the first seating. Afterwards, we were shown our seats where Chef "K" arrived and quickly went to work. We watched this chef and the head chef/owner Sam create our first courses which were exquisite. Not only were they presented beautifully but were absolutely delicious as well. Next came the first courses of nigiri. Piece by piece, we watched in excitement and anticipation. Each piece was fresh, crafted perfectly with the right amount of perfectly seasoned sushi rice. Then came a break in between the first and second courses of nigiri with a seafood dashi soup which consists of scallops, tofu, seaweed and dashi. A warm and refreshing way to break up the nigiri courses. The second wave of nigiri came, and these were just as incredible as the first courses. We loved the fact the ones that came with a topping or sauce didn't take away from the natural taste of the fish, rather it enhanced it and elevated it. Finishing off our course with the signature uni bowl which consist of wagyu beef, scallops, salmon roe, Japanese Hokkaido sea urchin, yuzu jelly and squid ink foam. This was a wow-factor dish that blew us both away. Stunning presentation and tasted even better. Finally, for dessert a roasted green tea ice cream which just brings everything together. Some side notes, I loved the attention to detail from both chefs. They're right on it if they see your gari (pickled ginger) is low and will happily refill it. I loved the place wasn't too stiff and you're able to make small conversation with the chef. And the service was top notch and not overbearing. Overall, this is some of the best sushi I've ever had and if I'm back in Philadelphia, I would happily return. A 10/10 experience.

The sushi chef was very friendly and chatted with everyone throughout the at course. If you get up to use the restroom he will wait until you get back before making your nigiri- just a nice subtle touch. The fish was very fresh, basically melting in your mouth. The uni was wonderfully sweet, so fkd those unsure about it, definitely give it a try!

The edamame was standard, and the takoyaki and pan-fried dumplings didn't taste homemade. Rather they both reminded me of what you would pick up at the frozen section at the food market. Nevertheless, they were passable. After all, we were here for the ramen. I opted in for their Terakawa special. The broth was flavourful, and the chashu was the most tender and juicy chashu I've ever had. As for the girlfriend, she opted in for their spicy ramen which was also spectacular. I absolutely loved her wavy noodles. I would have loved to have swapped out my straight noodles for her wavy noodles. They have a nice bounce and slightly chewy texture. Their marinated eggs were to die for. We put in a few extra orders for these. Overall, a great experience. The staff seemed to be right on the ball, and this small and cozy restaurant definitely makes you feel transported to Japan.

Pork buns if you are hungry are filling and good. the chicken katsu don - definitely enough to share...rice with chicken and egg and sauce inside.. you can add additional spices and sauce to flavor as needed. Highly recommend the charsu don which we got the most recent tried - very flavorful with the sauce it comes with and we finished it up. Best dish I had the entire trip in Philly! Thank you!!! Friendly staff and service. Common restroom for customers. Will definitely come back we're back in town!

The restaurant itself is super cute small, cozy, and BYOB (definitely bringing a bottle next time). It was pretty empty when we went, which we didn't mind at all. It gave a relaxed vibe, though the service was a little slow. That said, it worked out since we ordered a variety of dishes and weren't in a rush. Linda was our server--very nice and attentive. What we ordered: Spicy edamame: really good, great flavor to start Miso black cod two pieces, but thick, flaky, and buttery with a slightly sweet sauce and shredded carrots. Taste a piece of the fish with the carrots. Yummmm Oyster uni spoon: a standout. The roe bursts in your mouth and the flavor melted together! Made my taste buds happy! sooooo good!!! Fried oysters: nice and crunchy, really good. The sauce drizzled over the cabbage pulled it all together Tuna Tango roll - looked nice, but just okay. Didn't do much for my taste buds Sushi burger - delicious!!! Everything worked together and it looked really cool too! Drinks: Yuzu citrus sparkling drink - refreshing but just okay Green tea - very light, not bold at all, more like lightly flavored water We really enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back. Next time I'll try a different specialty roll since the Tuna Tango didn't hit for me. I'm also curious how it is on a busy weekend we actually loved how quiet it was, but I imagine it gets more lively. Final thought: Great food overall, cozy vibe, and a perfect BYOB spot to try a variety of dishes.

Came on a Sunday evening and about half the small restaurant was filled - the space is super cute, with an inviting dark blue color scheme and cute posters and photos of inspirational quotes and dogs. We ordered the Tofu and Eggplant taco and Mushroom and Zucchini taco to start - both were delicious. The mushroom and zucchini one actually had slightly more flavor, but the sauces on both were really tasty with good contrast in flavor, and the veggies were fried just right. For mains I got the Vegan Miso ramen with egg noodles and my husbans got the Vegan Spicy Kimchi ramen with egg noodles. I LOVED my ramen - the broth was deeply savory, the corn added nice pops of sweetness, and I really enjoyed the soy patty - it was chewy and had a great bite. My husband also enjoyed his ramen and said it was one of the best in the city - the kimchi flavor was very different than any ramen I've tried before. Service is good and overall I will definitely come back to Taco & Ramen and maybe try a new item. Yum!
