I got violently sick eating at this place. Ordered pretty normal stuff. The chicken was absolutely not "chicken".

Meh. Good volume, but teriyaki chicken is NOT hibachi. I don't know why this place is named as such. My husband said it reminded him of general tso's chicken. The fried rice had like 5 peas and ten tiny bits of carrot in it. The mixed veggies as I'd seen mentioned in other reviews is just cabbage with a few pieces of broccoli mixed in. Edamame is fine. Husband got the 3 roll lunch deal. The rolls look small, but I think he got filled up. It's fine, just not what I wanted. I really need to get me some good hibachi! read more

The fish was fresh, the rolls are thick with 8 pieces in each, and the food was done fast. Pick up happens contactless with them leaving the order at the front of the store, efficient and clean. For the price, I think this place is one of the best for quick, cheap, and consistent sushi in the area. I'll start this off by saying that this is not the best sushi I've ever had, HOWEVER, it is an INCREDIBLE value and many of the regular rolls are very good. My go to order has been the three roll lunch special which more than fills me up for just under $13. I love the sushi tempura, eel avocado and lately the sunshine roll. The food is always ready on time and pick up is easy and fast. Highly recommend as a great lunch time treat. read more

I usually order the Phoenix roll because I love shrimp tempura, but I also like trying their other specialty rolls like the Eagle Roll (sweet and savory). I've never tried their raw sushi, sorry. I ordered three rolls special (salmon roll / spicy roll:shrimp tempura roll)via grabhob. They sent me the wrong item (two spicy salmon roll and on shrimp tempura roll)so I called. They agreed to send me another regular salmon roll but I can't eat the spicy salmon roll to show I wasn't lying. I got their point but I feel really uncomfortable. I wasn't lying. Also the spicy salmon roll probably only have 10% of salmon and the rest was just deep fried flakes. The shrimp tampora was 10yeas old too. One hour later, the driver finally came and tell me to bring down the spicy salmon roll to exchange the salmon roll. However, One of the times that I ordered from here the sushi was very cold, (it wasn't the first time) it felt as thought it had been put on the fridge instead of being made from scratch. The next time I ordered I left a comment asking them to please make the sushi from scratch. When I went to pick up my order, one of the employees (a women) acted in a very rude way, saying that the sushi was made from scratch, I tried explaining that the last time that I ordered from here the food was cold, not enjoyable, wanted to make sure that the food wasn't cold this time. The employee threw/closed the window at my face violently, without hearing me out or apologizing, she wouldn't let me talk at all, just very rude behavior! First: I found a tiny bug on top of my Phoenix rolls (picture uploaded 5 months ago) Second try: everything was fine. They said 3rd time is the charm. Yes, I got FOOD POISONING! My 1st in my entire life and I'm not the type to complain about restaurants, but this is crazy. I felt nauseous, headache, muscle weakness, had diarrhea, vomit, stomach cramps that woke me up MANY times at night. I wouldn't waste my time & energy to call and complain to them. From what I read from other reviewers, they don't handle customer service properly. Even the driver doesn't have proper manner, he hit someone else's car next to him when he tried to get out of the car to give my food. This review is for you guys who read this. This is a small spot with a mostly take-out business. There are several tables to sit at, but I wouldn't call it a real dine-in spot. I've been here twice, and both times ordered the Teriyaki Chicken. The dish comes with a side of vegetables which consist of mostly cabbage. If you like cabbage, that's great... but if not.. there's not many other vegetables in the medley. The chicken had adequate flavor... nothing special. The food was made in under 10 mins, but the price differed from what was on my menu. It seems that I had an outdated menu at my office, so check prices before you order. Working at the Navy Yard, which is essentially the southern tip of Philly, there really aren't too many options for take out sushi, therefore I decided to give this place a try. I've ordered from here close to 10 times now. I've found the 2 roll lunch special to be an excellent deal ($7.95). The place has a $10 minimum for delivery orders, which is pretty standard. Delivery has always been under an hour which helps quell my hunger in a timely manner. I tend to order the salmon roll, tuna roll, and eel w/ avocado roll. They have all been fresh and decent. The food isn't mind-blowing by any means but for what it intends to be I think the place has done a fine job for very reasonable prices. read more

There aren't many sushi places way down in South Philly. This cheap, cash only, hole in the wall gives us our fix in a pinch. We usually get takeout and picnic in FDR park close by with the kiddos or grab take out for a rainy Friday night. It's convenient and fairly decent. A fine takeout only option where sushi is pretty non existent. You can just order online and swing by and pick up. Hubs is a fan of the Mexican Roll while the kiddos eat peanut avocado rolls which I highly suggest if you're easing them into sushi. House salad needs and extra ginger dressing which is .50 and miso soup is ok. Nothing spectacular but easy. Cash only. read more

I ordered through GrubHub, and they delivered at least 20 minutes quicker than the estimated time. I got a California Roll and the Phoenix Roll, which were pretty standard what they are. It definitely wasn't the best sushi I've ever eaten, and I've definitely gotten more food for the same amount of money, but this is South Philly and I'm not expecting a whole lot outside of Chinatown. I also tried their Tofu teriyaki. Not as many veggies as I would have liked, but it too, is a great deal for the price. They mix their hot food with cold. I ordered sushi and chicken teriyaki. When I got home the sushi was worm and frankly disgusting. I put it in the refrigerator and it didn't help. The chicken teriyaki was good which helped me get over the sushi. I'd recommend sticking to hot food from here. read more

As an avid sushi fan - or perhaps rabid is more accurate - I was amazed and delighted to find H2G a block from my daughter's apt. The grand opening banners still up, we ventured in for a bite. The sushi is fresh, standard portions at prices that ought to make this place the most popular sushi stop in south phila. In fact, the only place i've ever seen a better deal is the Hibachi all-you-can-eat prices out in Downingtown. We did a selction of sashimi and a rainbow roll. 3.95 per three pieces of sashimi, $7.95 for the rainbow roll. Killer stuff. Pizza joints are equally as prevalent in South Philly as our beloved corner bodegas and the word "youse". However, if you've already eaten pizza for dinner six times in one week and you are looking to add a bit of variety into your carb-loaded diet, give Hibachi 2 Go a buzz and order your weight in sushi for a fraction of the price of what other Philly sushi restaurants charge. The first time my husband and I turned our backs on pizza and decided on a sushi feast from Hibachi 2 Go, we ordered four rolls and a salad for a little over $30. Some people may be skeptical of the combined words "cheap" and "sushi" and the words' ability to coexist without hinting toward possible gastric terror and a one-way ticket to botulism hell. However, we have ordered here five times since discovering this place, and with each order the sushi has been fresh and tasty, and we've lived to tell the tell and write a Yelp review about it. This place is one of the best things to happen to this neighborhood in a long time. Not only is the sushi super fresh, and totally affordable, but the staff is EXCEPTIONALLY nice, and courteous! I love that they deliver, and they always throw in a free bag of "shrimp chips" every time we order. The presentation is also very well thought out and lovely, even the soy sauce comes in nice little cup (no messy packets). Try the speciality rolls, they're delicious! Food : good . Not delicious and mouth watering like some people expect (c'mon it's a takeout) if you want that then go somewhere else ! DUH Delivery : never over an hour , but common sense folks . Living in Conshohocken limits one's sushi options considerably. Needless to say, one of the biggest perks of our new place downtown is the abundance of sushi spots, several of which offer delivery. The thought had hardly even crossed my mind. But sure enough, we've had three or four excellent dinners worth of sushi arrive punctually at our door, at prices that made me nervous at first about the quality of the food. Sure enough, it's good fish, and really good sushi - my only objection would be that they could use a wider selection of rolls. Ordered through Grubhub and the driver called saying he was outside. I knew he was at the wrong address and repeatedly tried explaining to him my correct address. He continued to talk over me and complain to ME about how crazy it was and try to place the blame on me. Not only that, but the driver was extremely rude upon arrival. I will not patronize a business that cannot handle simple customer service. If this is how you treat customers, I will make a huge effort to make sure none of my friends, family or associates patronize this business. We ordered some sushi this time along with the Chicken Teriyaki and I was very impressed. The rolls were a great size, I think we got 8 pieces for each roll. We had a Spicy Tuna and California Roll and I enjoyed both. Our Chicken Teriyaki platter was delicious, just like before. We seemed to get more meat this time which we both enjoyed. I don't live anywhere near this neighborhood, but sometimes when I'm feelin' like a good jaunt and night drive around town is in order, I like to scope out new places. As the name tells you, call head and grab what you'd like to-go. The establishment itself is clean and no frills. Even with it being located near a busy, street-parking-is-hard-to-find intersection I was in and out in less than 2 minutes. The prices are crazy delightful, the service is prompt and courteous and the food is pretty tasty. I ordered the chicken and shrimp teriyaki ($7.45), a specialty sushi roll ($8) and a side of kani salad (~$4). It wasn't the best teriyaki I've ever had, but it was hot, had good flavor with plenty of chicken and shrimp. The sushi roll was DELICIOUS and the kani salad was tasty as well. This is a great spot for those nights when you might have that serious hibachi/sushi craving, but it's not quite payday. You'll be satisfied and fed in no time. Check 'em out! read more

Very fairly priced and is very quick/hassle free with ordering/service. The chicken teriyaki is on point, and is only 5 dollars. Wowza. Someone doesn't often expect any South Philly establishment off the beaten path (aka Passyunk) to serve non-food-poisoning-containing raw fish (SPTR aside). But Hibachi2Go breaks the mold and serves decently fresh sashimi, delicious rolls and a slew of tasty salads/teriyaki, and at penny pincher prices. Not to mention they deliver. What a score! Don't be frightened of this place - it's legit. Not "OMG YOU'LL DIE WHEN YOU EAT THIS" sushi, but "YUM YUM THIS HITS THE SPOT" sushi. And for more than fair prices. Serious South Philly score. Tonight, I ordered from this place with trepidation due to bad reviews, but I am pleasantly surprised. My food came within 10 minutes, but I also live very close. I got the Futomaki, Ako, and Spicy Tuna rolls. I'm not really sure what people are expecting from Hibachi 2 Go as far as quality goes. The rice is fresh and the nori isn't super chewy. The fish is moist and avocado is creamy. This is pretty decent as far as cheap, fast sushi is concerned. I have had way way worse. I do not fear being sick tomorrow. Hibachi 2 Go isn't a Mood-Lighting-Minimalist-Painting-On-The-Wall-Anniversary-Dinner-Date Restaurant. It shares a block with laundromats, assorted fronts, and a psychic. Hibachi 2 Go seems like a good alternative to Melrose or China House (or 7-11). read more

Sometimes what you really need on a Saturday night is to sit at home, watch tv, and order an astounding amount of sushi. This is what I did recently. I can only speak about the vegetarian items, as I do not eat fish. I liked everything I ordered (mango, oshinko, avocado, cucumber) except the avocado and peanut. Not half bad. Super cheap, and you get a lot of food. The sushi isn't exactly top-notch, but it's decent for the price. The rice used in the rolls is a bit hard, like it's been sitting refrigerated for too long, similar to supermarket sushi. It's ~$4 for a roll of 8 pieces, which works out to 3 rolls for $12. It's not quite Vic's, but for South Philly (and easier parking) it will do. It also costs $4 for a huge container of chicken teriyaki sauteed with some veggies, and a generous helping of white rice. Bear in mind that this is a takeout-type place, with 2 tables for people who can't wait till they get home to eat their to-go orders. If you're looking for cheap and filling Japanese (not a very common combo) and you're in the area, this is a decent place to go. read more

I ordered via Grubhub and got the tuna avocado roll, alaskan roll, and philly roll. My problem with the rolls is the size! They are so small! Each piece is about an inch wide. I'm not kidding you. I actually laughed when I saw them. I also did not like the rice that they used. It was more of a short grain white rice rather than sushi rice. For what I spent, I could have went somewhere else and actually got full (center city walgreens actually has better sushi). Fyi, the philly roll did not taste smoked and was raw (grubhub listed it as cooked). Delivery was faster than approximated and sushi didn't smell funky, so I give this place 3 stars (but I won't be returning unfortunately). I could make better sushi than this. read more
