Sesame chicken was so dry and rubbery that it was hard to chew. Moreover (false advertising alert ahead!), the majority of the pieces had little to no chicken. Instead, they were fried chunks of rubbery dough slathered in sauce, which was a dark and unnatural shade of nuclear red. I tried it last week on a neighbor's recommendation, and I was not disappointed. I ordered delivery: General Tso's chicken, sweet and sour chicken, spring rolls, and crab Rangoon. They are two blocks away, so maybe that's why everything was piping hot, but every dish was perfectly cooked, crispy when it should be, tangy when it should be. As some of the earliest commercial pioneers in the worst neighborhoods in American cities, BPG Chinese restaurants have to do more than make good food to stay afloat... these folks have SEEN things... Like your go-to roach coach or diamond in the rough Jamaican place, you never forget your favorite BPG Chinese, and this is my new favorite in Point Breeze. They accept credit cards, participate in GrubHub and are priced very reasonably. The portions were enormous, the egg rolls were crunchy and hot, and the Orange Chicken was the perfect balance of gooey and crispy. The Pork Lo Mein was a monstrous portion albeit a little bland, and the vegetable stir fry entree was an awesome accompaniment to carry us well into fourth meal and tomorrow's lunch. Easily my favorite Chinese food in the city. I order from them via GrubHub all the time and everything is always awesome. Favorites are hot and sour soup, chicken lo mein, kung pao chicken, crab rangoons and dumplings. Their hot & sour is so good I literally get 2 quarts of it a week, I can't get enough. I was not aware of this until the delivery man called, I informed the driver of the mix up. That is when he started screaming at me on the phone and eventually slammed the phone in my ear.
