I've had excellent care, including several Cerec crowns to replace older amalgam fillings that were breaking down. My treatment plans are always explained satisfactorily and I've never felt like unnecessary work was being tacked on. While major dental work is rarely a fun activity, I've appreciated that pain control is taken seriously here. My previous dentist was the "You can feel that? Oh, just hold on, I'm almost done," type, so prior to coming to Festival Dental, I believed that some level of pain was just part of any dental work. I can honestly say that I've never had any major pain during any procedure here. If I'm feeling discomfort, I'm given another injection, no questions asked. I won't go anywhere else for a filling or crown as long as Dr. Mallory is at this location. I do agree that there were some significant front office staff issues and had some ridiculous billing mistakes a few years back (like sending my husband's bill to my insurance carrier, then billing me when the claim was denied), but I haven't had any problems since then. I believe those problems were largely due to the staff at the time and thankfully, none of those people still work there. The new office manager is a welcome change and he seems genuinely happy to be there. He remembered me from my call to schedule earlier that week and was competent and efficient. I've never had any difficulty scheduling appointments and appreciate the later office hours on Tuesdays. I've not had excessive wait times either in the reception area or while in the exam rooms. I don't bring my daughter to this office because it doesn't feel as kid-friendly as the other dentist in Surprise that my family uses. The office could use some updating and a fresh coat of paint back in the exam rooms.

Appointment time for both of us was 8:40AM. We arrived at 8:30. My wife was called back, right on time, by her Hygienist at 8:40. At 9:10 my Hygienist, Vicky, was finally finishing with the patient before me. This was 30 minutes late for my appointment. I cancelled at that time due to a very important follow-on medical appointment that I could not miss. The front office staff was very apologetic and understanding. They attempted several times to reschedule me. Thank you! However, neither my Hygienist, Vicky, nor Dr Wellman made an attempt to apologize to me. I expected more from Dr Wellman as the leader of his staff and Dentist in charge.

I've been having extreme pain in my jaw, neck and back from a dental clinic called Bright now Dental 91st northern. I went into this dental clinic back in December without any pain or issues, I just wanted to start taking care of my health and teeth. Since going to bright now dental I have experience neck and jaw pain that hurts all the time. I can't even sleep without a mouth guard and I find myself wearing one all day to help with jaw pain . I have had multiple appointments to try to relieve the jaw pain and once the dentist from bright now dental could not find out what was wrong the only solution they came up with was to give me pain medicine. Well of course I refused and am now being referred to a TMJ specialist. Friends please be cautious of any medical or dental places you go to and if your not sure about the treatment get a second opinion. I hope none of you will ever experience issues like this. Low pressure, no judgements, no false/ trumped up care plans (which is why I stopped going..I know, I'm brilliant!). Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting a dental assistant named Xochitl (Soshe), and she is the human equivalent of a Xanax (I mean that in the best way!) She was friendly, calm, personable, empathetic, funny and an excellent distraction for the 60 minute argument I had with my brother right before my appointment! I don't recall the DDS's name, but he was super chill, professional, and got me into this temporary crown lickety-split!
