Been hearing about the Lil' Grandma pie from Johnny Napkins in Union, so we gave it a try today. Solid pie, tasty sauce, and the pesto was a nice touch. Should have asked for extra! The Hot Roni had pepperoni, hot peppers, red pepper flakes and hot honey, also very tasty. The plain was a typical plain pie, sauce a little sweet, but definitely better than some of the others around. Also, when you stand in front of the register with 4 feet of space between you, they won't acknowledge you.. there were 3 workers in front... Worker took a pizza box, which was on top of another box and handed me the pie. Once we got home and dug in. Me and company stopped eating the slice, because it was oddly cold. Almost fridge cold, the cheese wasn't a melted hot taste. Ate another slice and yup, still cold. Had One(1) garlic knot and that was super cold to bite through, it wasn't soft at all. The mozzarella sticks were not hot, the cheese didn't ooze out or have a difficult give. It was bite clean through, like biting a mozzarella cheese stick from the supermarket. So my friend just quit driving for this job. He told me some things that will definitely make me stop supporting this business. Drivers are paid no more than $8 an hour. Their credit card tips get taxed and put on their weekly checks which screams scam to me. Definitely dipping into the drivers credit card tips to offset their salary probably. Then they charge customers $1.75 delivery fee and the best part is the drivers don't even see a penny from that. Where is that $1.75 going if drivers use their own cars and pay for their own gas. ‍ deliveries are always an hour or more because they can't keep consistent drivers because they are treated unfairly and have to come out of their pockets for expenses. Probably the worst chicken Alfredo I have ever had, I only went here, because Reggio's pizzeria was closed. It wasn't even fettuccine noodles, it was penne. Sauce had very little to no flavor. And chicken was beyond questionable, cut into like weirdly perfect squares. Looking at houses in Union and asked our realtor where our family could get some great pizza and Italian food. He told us about Johnny Napkins and that's where we went Sunday evening. We couldn't believe the selection of slices! The staff was great with answering all our questions about the ingredients of both the slices and menu items. We also had great conversation about Union and the schools as the girl at the counter has kids who attend the local schools. It was a great experience to visit for the 1st time and be treated as a regular. We have never heard of Chicken Murphy before, but it is now our favorite.
