When you think of Johnny Rockets, you think of basically a notch above fast food places such as McDonald's or Burger King. I've been to more than a few and some were as decent as an average diner. Of course a Johnny Rockets in a theme park other than Disney was going to be dismal, but dismal is probably too good of a word to describe the ones in Six Flags. There are two locations not that far apart in Six Flags. Not sure which one is officially registered on this site, but it doesn't really matter as they both are about the same with only slight cosmetic differences. There were not many options in Six Flags that looked remotely appealing even in a theme park, so we settled on this figuring it would be the best of the worst. Afterwards in retrospect, it was probably better to starve. These are shortened versions of Johnny Rockets, meaning you're getting a very limited menu choice. I can understand the waiting as it does take time to cook burgers, but the waiting here was pretty bad still. The food of course was overpriced as the theme park norm. While the burgers were edible, they were sub-par compared to the price and wait time for them. The fries were average and the onion rings were tolerable. Again, it's in a theme park - but have some self respect for your business name. The staff was about as bland as the food they serve. Nothing special. The kids meal choices are poor and most kids won't really like them. They're trying to be "healthy", so included in the kids meals is a fruit cup and organic Capri Sun juice pouches. Not a knock on trying to be healthy, but it's a little much in a theme park. At least give the choice. There's some seating outside both locations. Some have umbrellas and others don't. They were fairly decent clean. All in all a slightly better choice in a sea of horrid choices in Six Flags, but that's also not saying too much at the same time as they aren't a good choice themselves either and there's no excuse for the prices they charge. Six Flags won't allow you to bring in any food, so your choices are garbage or starving. Starving is probably a better choice, but it all depends on how long you plan on staying in the park. If you need to eat something, I guess this would be the last resort (as it was for us) - but know you're overpaying for bland, limiting choices and have a long wait for it as well.

So bad! Come on now Johnny Rockets, why would you have your name on this place and let this low quality of food be served? The place was empty, zero customers, when we walked in to order. Of course prices are sky high, we're at Six Flags Great Adventure, so I'm not upset, you have to expect that. My Wife ordered one order of onion rings for 2, one order of fries and on plain cheeseburger. I could see large amounts of fries and onion rings in pans in the back, why have so much pre-made? The park was at less than 30% capacity, no need for so much under a heat lamp. To make it worse the burger was also pre-made. When it was served the cheese was not even close to melted. My Wife and I took a look at everything and immediately asked for a refund. Even for amusement park standards this was awful. To make it worse the counter were you order was a mess! No customers, 4 employees just standing around, everything pre-made, they could have at the least cleaned the place. Do yourself a big favor do not eat here. There is a KFC and a Burger King located at the exit of the park, save a ton of money if your looking for something fast. Sorry no pictures, returned the order.

I can't help but laugh at other reviews not that I had a great experience here myself but major note should be taken that this is a fast food chain inside of a very busy theme park so if you're expecting fast and attentive service, you're expectation is calling for a miracle! With that said, I'll try to focus on the positive side. Yes, the long cashier line moves quickly as there's multiple cash registers. Once you place your order, you are given a receipt to provide to another employee to get you your food order. No worries, there's numbers in the receipt so even if you have people who tries to cut the line, just show your order number to the staff. All condiments of ketchup, bbq, honey mustard and sweet and sour sauce, napkins, and plastic utensils are available on both sides of the exit. Outside seatings with umbrellas are also setup on both sides of the restaurant. Yes, food is greasy but it's of course expected. No one comes to eat at a fast food joint that is on a diet unless if they're on a see food diet!

Small little place with what appears to be mostly locals. One man band behind the grill and one very nice server handled our table. Some specials on the board as well as a very large diverse menu. Not sure I'd venture into some of their mor elaborate options, but we did hit on breakfast. I kept it simple with a board special of 2 by 2 by 2. Pancakes, eggs and bacon. It came ala carte which was fine, since the pancakes were huge. Eggs were cooked perfectly, bacon good and the pancakes were massive and delicious. The other breakfast was a massive Ham & Cheese omelet with home fried potatoes, and rye toast. Again, absolutely massive plate and excellent. Coffee was hot & fresh and the staff could not have been nicer. Not the most inexpensive place to eat and there is a 4% surcharge for credit cards, but this far surpasses many of the standard cookie cutter diners we have been in. Excellent!

I can't believe I waited so long to come back to Harvest. What was I thinking ?…read more We went out for lunch to celebrate my friend's birthday and Harvest turned out to be a great choice! The location is a little further than we would normally travel, but it was worth it. I loved all the farm to table foods they have. They even nicely promote all the partners they use right on the wall of the restaurant, so you know where all your food comes from. Everyone loved their meals! I had the Thai chicken sandwich and it was so flavorful and delicious. It came with a side and I picked baked sweet potato wedges that were really good and so memorable that a week later I am still thinking about them. Other dishes ordered were the chicken salad and strawberry salad which my friends both enjoyed. Our server was very good and didn't rush us as we were just chatting up a storm. The restaurant suggests reservations which are a good idea, especially for dinner. I will definitely be back and can't wait to put Harvest on my restaurant rotation. Sorry no photos this time... the food was just so good and we were hungry!

Tucked away in a small town, you will find a cozy nook to discover American cuisine…read more Brand: 5/5 Harvest is a small restaurant in Farmingdale specializing in New American cuisine. The entrance stands out in this borough, despite its small size. I do think that sign with the wooden background reflected the cozy interior quite well with a homey style. The country décor on the walls also enhances the aesthetics. Website: 5/5 It wastes no time, for it immediately opens you to the menu where most of the items have their own images. I appreciated the minimalistic design where the understandable font provides you with the information. The basic description of the establishment does say that they rely on locally sourced ingredients. Ambiance: 5/5 Normally, dark interiors would not necessarily work for eateries unless they achieve a cozy vibe; which is what Harvest did perfectly. The wooden walls provide a sense of comfort underneath lights dim enough to not offend the eyes but bright enough to see. Despite the cramped space, I did think that the interior fitted the ambiance, along with the smooth country music playing over the radio. Service: 5/5 The staff was quite jovial and patiently explained a part of the menu. We had no issues with our orders. Wait Time: 5/5 I did wait awhile for the meals, though we managed to get our orders without any interruptions. Food: 4/5 I ordered the Grilled Chicken Thai Sandwich with no additional sides, with a free, complementary glass of water. It has ciabatta beard containing grilled chicken, spinach, cucumbers, and Thai sauce. I do not know if the signature sauce is authentically Thai, but I will say that I could barely tolerate the pungent taste and smell. I cannot say whether it is the feature. Every other part, such as the spinach and the cucumbers, definitely complemented the grilled chicken with a juicy taste. The ciabatta bread buns managed to hold their form, even as the contents started to fall off. Worth The Money?: 2/5 I will say that Harvest brand has as much of a highfalutin status as its prices. While the restaurant reflects the New American cuisine, it does not come off as condescending. Nevertheless, I still thought that the limited menu items just do not help with the prices. For the website, I would suggest a list of all the farms and independent distributors that Harvest relies on for ingredients, and to include a backstory about how Harvest began and where the name came from. I find local-sourcing incredibly important and commend Harvest for incorporating this into their business model. Concerning the food, I will say that the Grilled Chicken Thai sandwich did have suffice within the ambiance. The wait time it took to make the meal was appropriate enough. I will say that the wait time did feel long within the establishment, especially when no one else was around. Nevertheless, the service did make the food worth the wait and the ambiance worth immersing in. With all of this being said, would I say that the overall price would bring me back? Not really. Even the complementary water could not win me over when compared to the prices. Prestigious New American eateries tend to have a focus on specific consumer bases, and I am just not one of them. I do not score low on this part out of spite, rather based on my current station and many other people. I did tip the staff and I did have enough satisfaction with the meal. Rating: 4/5 Stars I do not know how Harvest would carry itself into the future, though I can see how it would suffice as a New American restaurant. Recommend To... Anyone with enough disposable income looking for a quiet restaurant.
