Greek omelette can't remember the name
    Tony P.

I apologize, I'm very behind on my reviews. We were doing some shopping and I made a decision to stop in here, something just made me think that it would be a good experience. I wasn't wrong. I don't remember it being this good the last time I was here. They definitely upped their game. We both had food off the specials menu, I ordered the Peach Cakes It was grilled peaches with a sort of whipped cream buttercream hybrid and brown sugar on top of pretty good pancakes. My wife had this Greek omelette with kasseri cheese, tasted amazing, the cheese had a lovely texture. They gave me a little pot of coffee it was excellent. They were also selling delicious looking gluten-free brownies and chocolate chip cookies at the register for anybody that's interested in that sort of thing. Overall excellent experience. Our server was excellent and so was the atmosphere and cleanliness. I will definitely be back.

Fast service, a carafe of coffee, and service with a smile. I enjoyed my egg sandwich on a fresh roll, and my dining companion says her Greek omelette was "flavorful" with "really good" feta cheese. Also, gluten-free cookies sold at checkout! Thanks, Marlboro Diner!

Stopped in one way home. I had the soup it was ok nothing crazy and a chicken sandwich. I was good I would say great but good. My wife had an egg sandwich two bites and that was it.not the greatest even for an egg sandwich. Would I come back... probably not. Service was ok. It was a packed dinner with barely any seats that day. So maybe that's why.

    Chicken Caesar wrap

Aside from friendly staff this spot is a no in my book. I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap and it was actually gross. I didn't know you could mess it up, but I guess you can. There was barely any dressing, and whatever dressing there was tasted like straight mayo. The chicken was SO DRY it felt like it was crumbling into sand. Fries and coleslaw were good. That's about it.

    The bacon cheeseburger is electrifying.

Solid diner, always has a great specials menu. Im a big fan of the lobster roll when it's on there. But today me and my daughter were in cheeseburger paradise.

I really enjoyed my breakfast here. The french toast I ordered hit the spot! My bacon was a bit fatty but I prefer crispy anyway. The staff let my friend and I sit after we finish our meals which was great to wrap up our conversation. I'd like to come to try more food since I was very happy with the experience.

Deli Latke and a croissant French toast special

Marlboro diner has been very good both times we have went. The first time our waitress was not very attentive and disappeared for a long time so I couldn't get a refill of my water but the second time was issue free and the waitress was on top of her game. The food has been consistently good. The croissant French toast special with the peach sauce was amazing and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a sweet breakfast. The paninis are also very good. The inside is also clean and typical diner style inside which is what you want when going to a diner. Overall Marlboro diner is a good choice for anyone looking for a diner with some cool options that aren't the same as every other diner.

Go enjoy some really good food there

The service was quick and welcoming, and everyone made us feel at ease right away. The food was tasty and came out hot and fresh. Nothing fancy, just good, solid cooking done well. He took on the challenge and tried to finish the plate but he simply couldn't. It's the kind of place that feels familiar, even if it's your first time there. Hubs ordered the Englishtown skillet, which has peppers, onion, potatoes, mushroom, broccoli, scramble, cheddar jack cheese. He said that this is one of the better skillets that he's had so far. It isn't frozen potatoes tossed in there. Hubs said that they put in so many vegetables that he didn't know what kind of potatoes they used. He was very happy with it. LOL. I ordered the 3 Golden brown griddle cakes with 2 eggs over easy. I liked it and this is my usual go to. But, hubs thought that it could be a little bit better. Service was quick and friendly. Will return to try other items on the menu.

Inside, the food was fresh, plentiful, and delicious. We chose side salads instead of fries and they were a great size to start the meal. I had the open‑face Turkey Reuben and the portion was definitely shareable and very good. My husband had the fish and chips and the cod was fried perfectly, 4 nice fillets, crisp outside and tender inside. He swapped the fries for a baked potato and it tasted like it came straight from the oven, hot and fluffy. They offered a long list of specials for 16.99 that included beverage, soup, salad, an entrée and dessert. The cakes and pies looked fabulous and many were ordering dessert. We were too full this time, but next visit we'll save room. Our waitress, Lala, was wonderfu, attentive, friendly and always checking in at the right moments. The manager greeted us warmly when we arrived and again when we left, which added to the friendly atmosphere. Plenty of parking and easy to get in and out. We would definitely recommend this diner and would happily return.

They had a decent crowd for a Wednesday night. Their dessert case looked amazing and I heard two tables ordering cake and Oreo cheesecake!!! I hit the bathroom before heading out. Nice decor but dirty and a fly was hovering around. Sweet server named Emma was probably the highlight . One and done for me - sorry.

However, they did a great job updating the tables, benches and counter, as well as opening up the diner to allow for additional seating. It's a diner and the food and service fit that description perfectly. The food is solid and reasonably priced diner fare. Service is friendly and efficient. We frequent this place on occasion for breakfast and brunch. I had the chicken panini and it was very good. Everything is cold, sterile, and trying way too hard to be trendy instead of just being a good old fashioned train car diner. The prices are ridiculous for what you get, especially considering it used to be a spot where you could grab a solid, affordable meal. Now it's all style over substance, overpriced plates, smaller portions, and none of the comfort or the charm that made it worth going to in the first place. It's disappointing to see a place that once felt local and authentic turn into just another generic, overpriced "modern vibe" spot.
