I had heard of this store but never visited. Beautiful exotic type clothing for women. If you want something unusual, quirky and colorful this is the place to visit. Very nice staff person is there to help or answer questions. A very nice selection of womenswear for the upscale casual look. Free street and lot parking. Valet parking outside. read more

I just have to say that Sharon is very rude! The manager help us at the end but Sharon shouldn't be working in a customer service store! I normally don't write reviews but this time this person ( Sharon ) really hurt my feelings! Yes this is my favorite store at this outdoor mall, they always have my size, they refresh the stock constantly. I am always able to find new things, they have the best of everything here including blankets, and Pet furniture, beautiful dresses, beautiful shirts, and the right size pants that fit! The staff is exceptional management is exceptional. I love the store even the items on the sale rack come in my size. The first time I walked into the Kierland location, I was greeted warmly by the staff. I was able to shop for what I came for but also received suggestions on other pieces. Their honest take on what I tried on was a welcomed relief. There is nothing worse than getting something you're told looks "great on you" and get it home and realize that's not so. The honesty is not pushy, I didn't feel like I had to purchase anything. I was offered water and the Team there was focused on selling, but more importantly making sure I had a great customer experience. The Johnny Was store in Kierland is by far my favorite , and the Manager Roselle is the reason why I continue to make purchases. She IS the brand and constantly keeps me informed with her wonderful emails. Roselle is the kindest person and seems to almost have a second sense that enables her to really understand customer needs. A rare talent indeed. When most stores found a way to close during the Covid pandemic, Roselle was always there to offer a kind word even if I did not make a purchase that day. I go to roselle at keirling in scottsdale. She is the nicest sales person and manager I ever knew. She tells it like it is. If somethings not good with your figure she will tell you. Shes not just looking to sell something she wants you to be happy with the clothes you try on.I cant imagine going to any other store and I only wear Johnny Was. I fell in love with their clothes the first time I went into the store.If you knew how many peices I bought from there you wouldn't believe it. When you go in there ask for Roselle. Just shopped at the Johnny Was store and it appears I was checked out by Roselle A and was treated poorly much like Pretty Woman. I left feeling pretty bad. I did purchase a $400 cashmere hoodie and a bag of face masks. Another guest had a bag of masks and I asked Roselle if they had any more butterfly masks like the one she was wearing and she quickly said no. I stepped over where the masks were at and there were several bags with the butterflies. Not sure why she lied to me but her attitude is very poor. We were visiting from Aspen, CO and specifically sought out Johnny Was as I own 15-20 outfits. I will never visit this store ever again. Ms Roselle, It doesn't matter who your customer is or where they come from or what they look like you treat every guest the same. Roselle is a very poor manager and it also appears from Yelp that I'm not the first guest treated in this manner. Shame on you. read more

stopped in while walking around the commons simply bc the outside was pretty, i was instantly greeted by a sales woman who's first words after hello were "we only carry up to a size 4 here" insinuating that i ~clearly~ couldnt wear anything from here, i left before even looking at their overpriced, ugly clothing bc i instantly felt unwelcome. telling by reviews this must be a common experience here. what if i was buying a gift for someone else? oh well, not shopping somewhere that apparently isnt size inclusive at all. weirdest thing was that upon looking on their website they do sell plus size clothing up to a 3x and straight sizes up to a xxl. so idk do the owners tell their sales people to discourage people from shopping here? read more
