After so many years Johnny's is still my absolute favorite place ! The food absolutely NEVER misses. 98% as good to go as in person. Staff is great. Has improved immensely over the past few years.

Johnnys has forever been a family resturant for as long as I can remember. While they have been around for awhile their recipes are the same and amazing as they always have been. I highly recommend the chicken arrabbiata dish if you enjoy spicy cuisine. Their wedding soup was also full of flavor and very filling in portion. I always have food to take home. The staff are well trained and kind. I only give four stars due to how hard it can be to make actually getreservation, but that goes to show how popular they are!

Table reservation definitely suggested!!! Maybe call twice to confirm? As it should have been for 7 at 7

Everything we tasted was delicious and fresh. My friend originally made a reservation for a party of 10 at 7PM. She'd heard about Johnny's so many times, and now a friend is playing live music tonight. I'll get to the issues after. The atmosphere is fun like the others describe, an Italian place like my parents used to take us when we were little. We had the cheese sticks- I thought to die for. Friends had shrimp, strip steak, fillet, garlic bread (with their really good bread they put out in baskets) eggplant parm, pasta with sauce, and a shrimp past dish, I had a taste of chicken marsala - very good- didn't realize I had to pick pasta as a side. (Ordering was yelling over music and playing telephone down the table.) He ordered gnocchi and meatball- will taste tomorrow as it was so late we had to take it to go. He works at 6am. So for the delays, I show up at 7, and everyone trickled in. The BDAY girl let us know she HAD called to update it to a party of 7, still at 7. There were still 3 extra places set, and it seemed as though the staff was awaiting their arrival as we hadn't gotten drinks ordered. There wasn't open seat, it seems in the house, so it's unfortunate they didn't rearrange, if possible, for another table. Also. Somehow they had us down for 6pm. If you met us, you'd know better. After every other table ordered, we got our shouts in. Eventually we hear a big loud crash - yup that was all our food. If you've worked in a restaurant, you know the back has to be livid at this point. So, we are waiting again and decide we are going to have to take ours to go. It was still fun to go with friends enjoy the live music, we could have done without the passive aggression and the strange literal running around by some of the staff that ended, as we predicted, in an accident. If he didn't have to be up so early, it would've been fine. We just didn't expect to get home at 11 from a 7pm reservation. Felt bad for the kitchen staff. Sorry no food pics

Fine Italian food, priced right, great service. Good entertainment the Saturday we were there. Long drive for us, but worth it.

We went to Station Brake Café on a Friday night with my best friend and her husband. The waitress was very nice, and from what I recall served our silverware on a silver tray lined with velvet... So there was an attempt to portray this upscale theme which reflected onto their menu and prices, but was so off the mark it was humorous. The menu was extensive and the items where overall on the pricy side. We opted to just get a sandwich since there entrees were in the $30.00 range and up. I thought to myself if I was going to spend that much on my meal I would eat somewhere else. I got the Bourbon Steak sandwich, which they claimed was filet mignon, they ask for a spice level, I belief I said 5. I made it a platter and added a salad and soup. The soup, a baked potato soup, was indeed indulging and delicious. I could've stopped there, should have maybe. The salad was obviously old. The tomatoes were shriveled and rotten, and my lettuce was wilted. I removed the bad parts and ate what I could. And although the waitress was very friendly, she wasn't really careful when setting plates and bowls down. On both my soup and salad her thumb was poking around the surface... Our sandwiches came out a little while later. Honestly mine was so spicy I couldn't taste much of it. Maybe this was my fault but I wish she would have explained the levels a bit, but again I didn't ask so I accept responsibility for that. The portion was a little on the small side for a $13.00 sandwich, and when you make it a platter add $4.00. So for almost $20.00 that's what you get here. This place is definitely different, I would probably go back if asked by my friend, but not by my own decision. We ended up having a good time and eventually made it into the bar area. Now I thought the restaurant side needed updating! Holy cow, they had reupholster chairs in a pink plaid that was rough to sit on and looked like my grandmother's couch in the 70's! And it was only select chairs that were donning this material. I guess once the others rip enough they will get this classy makeover too.

I ordered the Louisiana Blackened Chicken, roasted red beets with a touch of ginger and Stuffed Pepper Soup. My husband had a glass of red wine, rib-eye steak with sauteed mushrooms, a salad, and a baked potato. Both of our portions were huge. I was surprised my husband was able to finish his steak, but he said it was so delicious, he couldn't stop eating it. I took half my dinner home because we ordered Belgian Chocolate Mousse cake to take home. Everything was fresh, homemade and delicious. Just remember that they are a small restaurant with a small staff, so make reservations, have good company you can fall and laugh with as you drink your wine ( you can byob, which I'll do next time. $ 10 cork fee) you can sip before your meal arrives.

For years, all I heard about was Wagyu steak. Admittedly, my ego stepped in and said I didn't need it, a New York strip is fine. I was at Maileys, saw it on the menu, and the waitress said she only had 2 left. I got it, and... It was single-handedly the best steak I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and plan a date night at Maileys. It's worth the trip. Your stomach will thank you.

My husband chose the American Wagyu and we has a taste comparison. I liked the Japanese flavor and texture better, it was melt in your mouth buttery. That's due to the intense marbling of fat in the meat. My husband actually preferred the American Wagyu flavor, saying it tasted "meatier". No matter which you choose, they both were delicious and came with a side of German potato salad and Mexican street corn salad and watermelon with a dollop of whipped feta cheese. We started the meal with the Crab Salad appetizer. perfect for 2 people. A tasty mix of crabmeat on top of a crispy tostada. We ended the meal with a peach creme brûlée. Just enough food to make us both feel sated but not overstuffed. I also tried the Peach Iced Tea which was white tea with dried peaches and apricots. Very refreshing! They have a whole menu of Iced Teas to choose from for the summer months. The restaurant was packed as usual. You need a reservation for sure. The husband and wife team is amazing at both crafting unique, delicious foods and creating a welcoming space in which to enjoy it. Truly this pace is the best of Latrobe.
