The service there is great at the bar. They greet you with a welcome and offer suggestions. The pizza to me is one of the best pizzas in Ocean City. It taste like real pizza and it's fresh that is fresh crispy not too runny. It's perfect. Just be prepared when you go into that section the man that Pizza is a rockstar and he is making good pizza so he may not have much time to talk. He's great pizza maker and they have really good deals on Monday. I think urs half price pizza! Service was nice and friendly. First time I was here I had pizza. Half pepperoni and half meat lovers. The pizza had a lot of flavor. Nice size for a medium. Second time I had a regular cheesesteak sub. It was ok. The meat looked like a big clump. When I tried to separate it, it was all stuck together. My parents are usually very picky when it comes to pizza, so it took a lot of convincing for them to try Johnny's. They ended up loving it! Our server, Joe, he was welcoming super nice and funny. He made us feel comfortable and even joked around with my family, which added to the experience. We ordered the Chicken Alfredo Pizza and the Barefoot Britney. Both were delicious--the dough was light and not too heavy or yeasty. I only got a picture of the Chicken Alfredo Pizza but the Barefoot Britney was just as delicious. Overall, we had a great time. I am disgusted by the service I just received by the so called manager or this restaurant. We own a condo in OC and we always go to Johnnys or refer others to this restaurant because we have always enjoyed the food and had amazing service. I just placed an order that was $150.00 and when I placed the order I specifically asked for no bacon on one of the pizzas for religious reasons. The lady taking the order told me that the bbq chicken pizza doesn't even come with bacon. When we got home it had bacon ALL OVER IT. I called to ask for them to fix the issue and she told me that I could drive back down there (my condo is up almost in Fenwick) and pick up a new one. I told them no, you messed up you need to fix it. Plz have it delivered. They refused. Then I said then plz just refund the amount of the pizza on my card. The girl who answered the phone had no clue what to do so I asked to speak to the manager. When he picked up the phone his first words were what's the issue? I was appalled this is how a "manager" would answer the phone and then he started threatening to hang up on me because I told him I didn't like the way he answered the phone. I explained what happened and I told him at that point I just wanted the pizza refunded on our credit card and he said he couldn't do that. In this day and age you can't refund a pizza??? I will be honest I wouldn't trust them with my credit card information at this point anyway. I will never patronize this restaurant again nor will I recommend it. In the end since this one pizza alone cost us 20.00 plus dollars my husband drove down with the pizza and they remade it and gave us an XL. This does not excuse the rude service that we encountered on the phone. I would also love for someone who knows the owner to reach out me. read more

0 stars. This was the WORST customer service I've EVER experienced and I'm 52. Went there around 1030 after driving for 4.5 hours. A steak and cheese and an Italian with fries came to 49.85 and we gave the cook a 5 dollar tip. We received the worst slop sandwiches. Completely inedible. The Italian had baloney on it and a little lettuce. The menus states the typical salami, prosciutto, provolone, peppers, tomatoes, vinegar and oil, etc. The fries were wiggly and I think they were sweet potato fries...and not that many. The steak and cheese sub was the worst. There was a burnt smell coming from it. It was full of burnt chips of meat... like what would be scraped from the flat top. I figured they had played a cruel joke on us. It was completely inedible. I couldn't stand the smell. As we were tired and it was already 11:30, past their closing time, we decided to take it back tomorrow to get our money back. We did just that. The "manager" some kid of 18, told us he couldn't return our money even with the receipt, as well as the disgusting food. I was incredulous, as I've owned a store in Occoquan, VA and I know all it takes is the press of a button to refund a customer's money. Instead, this young man argued that if "we had any common sense we would have driven it back that night". Horse $h!t. The manager, as well as the support staff rallied around the manager, not the customers out over 50.00. I asked for the owner's name and number and he refused that, as well. It looks like this horrid restaurant is pretty well-known. I'm going to contact as many people as possible to look into their business practices. We came to Johnnys last night, 4 of us at one table. Friends of ours were at another table we ordered1 large sausage & onion pizza. 25mins we ask where is our pizza? Our server says "oh we gave your pizza to your friend's table". Mind you we had zero to do with their order. Then asks us if we want their mushroom pizza? Ah- NO. We want what we ordered. 30mins later we get our order. 1 large sausage & onion pizza. That's all we ordered. We eat. It was so-so pizza. Our bill comes we ask about a discount as it was self admittedly their mistake. No. None. And the so called (20 some year old kid) manager starts screaming at us 50 some year old adults in a full restaurant to "get out". "Get out now!" "I said get out of the restaurant". SO wholly inappropriate. We weren't telling. Causing a scene. It was bad. Never would I recommend going here. Horrible customer service. read more

Anyways, we're here this weekend and I am, quite honestly, STILL loving all of the family establishments up and down Costal Highway. We're trying to keep it light this weekend so dinner tonight was @ Johnny's Pizza Bar and Grill. We've driven past here 6 times this trip and it has always been busy! Super excited to see all the pandemic survivors ... including this one. On top of that, seeing their growth and expansion was equally exciting. Clean, cute, family friendly, and we had GREAT service (and it was by the owner's son)! All four of us ordered our own pie. We had jerk chicken (the person who ordered this was the most satisfied), Maryland crab (the person who ordered this declared it was dry and had too much old bay seasoning), pepperoni (pretty basic, safe choice ... how can you mess this up?!?!) and a white pizza (this was my pizza and I would have loved some more sauce, garlic butter, or something ... it was a little dry, IMHO). Small pub next to a pizza oven carry out. Menu is 80% fried some salads wings pizza half a dozen subs. On the best day it's likely to be a C+. Not sure what the hype is as the wings were average, pizza was average, somewhat undercooked. The item called a wedge is a sub inside pizza dough well dusted with cheese and herbs and offered with two dipping sauces. Pretty tasty. However, the operation gets an F when they refused to split a check in half. This is 2025, with electronic ordering, payment systems. And credit cards for 95% of your business. Got to OC late. Ordered delivery of Thai chili wings and cheesy garlic bread. Told it could be an hour. It got here in 30 minutes! The wings were so meaty and the best Thai chili sauce I've had in years!!! Bread was good too! I am very happy! Delivery guy was so nice and friendly too! read more

This might be the BEST PIZZA I've had in OC. It was not my first time having their pizza but it was my first time dining in. My first time here was a couple of years ago and we just carried out a pepperoni pizza. It didn't blow me away but it was not bad at all either. But this time around, we dined in (just a couple of days ago) and we got the Meat lovers pizza, buffalo wings and the giant cheesy garlic knots. We didn't take pictures sorry. But everything we ordered was AMAZING!!! Even my orange crush drink was good! The service was great too. Most of the tables were occupied but the servers were very attentive and courteous. Worst experience ever. We are locals in OC and went for late night pizza. Waitress delivered our pizza to a different table and then apologized. Ask if we wanted the other tables pizza and we said no we wanted what we ordered. It took over an hour for what we ordered. We asked for a discount and the manger refused. Would not recommend this restaurant especially because there are so many great options owned by locals who are reliable. Ordered 2 large pizza's ($50 total) and 2 salads for $70 total for pick up. When picked up, everything was bagged. Once home, the salads were ridiculously small - the size of a side salad with wilting lettuce - they gave us the size of their "just a beginner small salad" for the price of a full size Caesar salad and Greek salad. Pizza was eh - much better quality at Mione's, Ledo's, Piezano's. Plus there were more croutons in the salad than lettuce! In town to see family and found this gem in walking distance of our condo. It was fantastic ! We are from Chicago and were skeptical but Johnny's blew us away . The atmosphere was relaxed and fun. The staff was very attentive and quick. We ordered pizza, break sticks, chicken tenders, salad, beer and soda. Definitely would return. Too bad they don't ship food 875 miles. In my opinion, one of the best pizza places in Ocean City. When my fiancé and I are visiting we always make it a point to grab some pizza from our favorite spot. Just came from Johnny's. Have been going every year for the last 5 years. Won't ever go back. We were warned by my niece a few weeks ago that they had fallen off but wanted to find out for ourselves. We ordered pizza, which seemed overcooked, buffalo wings which were hard, dry and cold. Salad was meh. We asked for ranch dressing but got balsamic instead. Threw most in the trash! Visited Ocean City and wanted some pizza. Placed a delivery order and about 40 minutes later I got a call from the delivery driver stating he had arrived..... at THE WRONG HOTEL. I informed him of the mistake and restated my location (that was previously given while ordering) and waited in the lobby. 10 minutes later the driver called a second time and said he was in the lobby...,, AGAIN, at the wrong hotel. Believe it or not... it happened A THIRD TIME as well. Finally after calling the restaurant to confirm the hotel address for the 4th time I waited in my room for another 45 minutes until the front desk hotel worker arrived at my room asking if I order pizza as the delivery guy left it at the desk and left... no call, no notification that it had arrived... nothing. Such a cool place with nice people glad to help you out. Pizza looked very hot and fresh but I had pizza earlier in the day and had an intense craving for wings. Was so glad the bartender suggested the buy 1 get one offer. I went with 2 that had a wonderful Barbecue flair and 1 just had a little more of a kick of chili than the other. I order for delivery their 14" Da Works and paid via CC. At 90 minutes, I called and asked for a status on the delivery and was told that they have just one driver and that he's out making multiple deliveries. 45 minutes later the pizza arrived. It took 2hrs 15 minutes to deliver a barely warm pizza that looked like it had been dropped as a lot of the toppings had slid off the pie and were bunched to one side and stuck to the lid. I understand it is hard to find help nowadays, but this was unacceptable. Looking at recent reviews, it appears their service and quality is not what it used to be. read more
