TAKEOUT REVIEW: Last…read moreThursday, I placed a takeout order for a small group lunch at noon. I arrived a few minutes before the tavern opened, and waited with another customer at the door. The front house were friendly when letting us inside and with handling orders. They use handheld point of sale devices for orders, and then you wait by the bar area for ring up. Reminder: CASH ONLY. I was ready. The lady who rang me up and handed me my pies asked if I needed plates and napkins, which was nice. We had stuff so I just took the pies and headed out. The pizza was a hit at lunch! I ordered one large plain and one large with 1/2 mini meatball and 1/2 homemade sliced meatball. This was my first time trying their meatball slices and I'd say it's now one of my favorites. I like the sliced homemade meatball a lot. Really good!

I was surprised to see yet another pizza place open up in this location but was thrilled when I learned that it was John who had opened up his own place! John has long been a fixture in the area, coming from another local pizza restaurant with a great reputation. Once I found out that Johnny's was his, I figured it was time for me to try it out. The food was phenomenal! The pizza is excellent and the other dinner items are of high quality. Johnny's will now be my first call, go-to pizza place in the area. Great job, John! read more
