    Rice ball

Finally had some time to stop in and try Johnny's for lunch today. We ordered an assortment of slices: grandma, Sicilian with pepperoni, plain, and spicy pepperoni grandma, and a rice ball. All of the slices were freshly made and heated up to perfection within the oven. The grandma slices are a favorite of mine and hands down Johnny's has one of the best options around. It had the proper cheese to sauce ratio topped off with some Parmesan on top on a perfectly crisp crust. The rice ball was deliciously crisp with its exterior and packed with flavor inside and paired with a great marinara sauce. We also ordered a plain pie and knots to go and even in the midst of their crazy lunch rush it was done and ready in less than 20 minutes. We arrived at a good time as parking is limited and fills up around lunch time. There is ample room to eat inside or just get takeout as well and wait. They also offer free delivery to most of the nearby towns which is a great plus, we will definitely be ordering more! Johnny and his staff are professional, friendly, and provide a fantastic service. A must try spot in the northern Bergen county area!

Great food!! I've been meaning to try this place for awhile now and I'm so happy I finally did. I ordered the Grandma pizza and the mussels in white wine sauce. Everything was delicious! I ordered takeout and had to wait maybe 15 minutes at pick up and they gave me garlic knots on the house for the trouble. That was completely unnecessary but very appreciated! I've heard the rice balls are also fantastic and can't wait to go back.

Currently the decor isn't great but the friendly owner Raj said he would be updating the place over the next few months. Our waiter was new but he was very friendly and provided helpful recommendations. The menu is already large and Raj mentioned that they're looking to add southern Indian dishes to their current northern Indian focus. We had boneless wings, mutton, samosas, and another chicken appetizer. All of the starters were excellent, perfect mild to medium spice level. Our entrees included lamb, mutton biryani, and a chickpea dish. The biryani was a ton of food and the chickpea texture was awesome. We also had butter naan and I added a tasty mango lassi. Apparently they do a solid bar crowd on weekend nights. I would certainly return to try more dishes. Definitely a solid restaurant.

Also you can immediately taste the quality of their ingredients. They spared no expense from the spices to the meats. The quality is superb. The desserts are also to die for! Wonderful place for a date night or to bring the family for dinner. I have to admit I feel spoiled since also finding them on UberEats. I now have their delicacies at my finger tips. You will not be disappointed. The owner was very nice and came over and welcomed us to the restaurant. They really paid attention to every detail. Blessed to have a local place that makes food everyone can enjoy.

The food is still great. We had scallops, chorizo, brussels sprouts, and a flounder ceviche special. Everything was delicious. The ceviche in particular stood out -- fresh, well-portioned, and nicely "cooked" in lime juice. The sangria is still a highlight too. A big carafe, no ice watering it down, served with glasses full of fruit. The problem is the service. They had two servers and one bus person, and it showed. Everyone seemed to be scrambling, and it was hard to get a moment of attention to ask for anything or even be heard. Our food came out in pieces -- three items, then a long delay, then another. The last dish, calamari, never came. When I tried to tell the waiter we didn't want it anymore if it was forgotten, he didn't listen and insisted on bringing it anyway. We ended up waiting even longer, which just made the experience more frustrating. To top it off, they're now adding an operating/service fee (around 3-4%), which wasn't clearly communicated and just showed up on the bill. It's disappointing because the food is still very good, but the service issues -- and now the added fees -- are taking away from the experience. After this visit, we'll think twice before coming back.

We started coming to Fleming's early into the summer and our first thought was, "Why did it take so…read morelong to come here?!" We don't typically go to chain restaurants, so weren't sure what to expect, but are SO glad we didn't let snobby preconceived notions get in the way of what's become a regular Saturday spot. First, the space is gorgeous - so many windows so it's incredibly bright with a separate bar and dining area. We are bar people, so gravitate towards the huge bar - and a plus of Fleming's is that all of the area around the bar (tables/high tops) plus the huge outdoor space gets bar service and access to the bar menu/happy hour. Okay - the happy hour!!! It's EVERY day from 3-6:30 PM with some of the best deals I've ever seen. They have select $9 specialty cocktails (a tequila based one, take on an old fashioned, variation of a G&T, and a dirty martini), $9 glasses of wine, and deals on small bites. The menu is also constantly rotating by the season with some mainstays and things that have changed out. Regardless, it is an absolute deal. A great happy hour and small plates is obviously a huge draw, but what keeps us coming back to Fleming's is the people. From the moment you arrive, there's someone to open the door for you and greet you at the front without fail. The bartenders are incredible - friendly, attentive, great at making drinks for what becomes a PACKED bar, conversational. We genuinely love sitting at the bar and chatting with the team (sometimes for too long, sorry guys!). All in all, Fleming's will continue to be a regular spot, not just for the value of the social hour (and just all around great food and drinks when you step outside of that more limited menu), but mainly for the incredible staff and the feeling of appreciation you get as a guest at Fleming's.

Went with my wife and she had a cocktail ( I drank water). She is not a big drinker and she gets tipsy after 1/2 glass of wine but she didn't feel anything after this cocktail. She didn't think there was actually any alcohol in the drink. We then split a chopped salad and when they brought it to the table we were in disbelief. It was so tiny there were only a few chunks of lettuce. Tasted great but it was literally a child's portion. For our main course she had the filet with lobster tail and I had a petite filet. We both ordered medium rare. The lobster was awful. So heavily spiced that it was hard to eat. The steaks were both significantly over cooked. They came out close to well done. The side dish of Mac and cheese was completely dry, very little of any sauce. We skipped desert. So for 1 drink, one salad, one side dish and 2 entrees our bill with tip was $300. Walking out I just felt like we had been ripped off. The service was fine, the food wasn't. We won't be back.
