Went back after 2 years and was again not impressed. Decor was nice but for $100 per person wasn't worth it. Halibut was mushy and I had to trade plates with my wife. Cousin also didn't like hers. Not returning..

My wife and I went to Savini to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. They rolled out the red carpet for us. Sully greeted us and knew our names. Saved us a table near the fireplace. Had special menus printed for our Anniversary. Put the flowers I brought in water. The food was delicious. The service was outstanding. Our server, Hawkins, was outstanding. They made us feel very special on a very special evening.

This upscale yet charmingly old-fashioned restaurant exceeded our expectations. We made reservations for a Wednesday evening and were seated immediately, which was a pleasant start. The bar area, complete with high-top tables, was an unexpected but lovely feature. Our party of seven began with the calamari appetizer and meatballs, both of which were delicious. For our entrées, we enjoyed the special seafood fettuccine, penne, and several perfectly cooked filet mignons. Desserts were equally delightful, with tiramisu, assorted ice creams, tartufo and sorbets rounding out the meal. Our server, Stephanie, provided decent service throughout the evening. she was just OK. Didn't really check in to see if we were OK but we assumed she was busy. Although there's no designated kids' menu, our children were more than satisfied sharing entrees and enjoying a few side dishes. The wine selection was solid, and valet parking added a nice touch of convenience. We'll definitely be returning for another wonderful evening here!

Our waiter, Matt, was wonderfully kind and professional; attentive and knowledgeable, yet never hovering. He made sure every detail was just right. Went with my wife and she had a cocktail ( I drank water). She is not a big drinker and she gets tipsy after 1/2 glass of wine but she didn't feel anything after this cocktail. She didn't think there was actually any alcohol in the drink. We then split a chopped salad and when they brought it to the table we were in disbelief. It was so tiny there were only a few chunks of lettuce. Tasted great but it was literally a child's portion. For our main course she had the filet with lobster tail and I had a petite filet. We both ordered medium rare. The lobster was awful. So heavily spiced that it was hard to eat. The steaks were both significantly over cooked. They came out close to well done. The side dish of Mac and cheese was completely dry, very little of any sauce. We skipped desert. So for 1 drink, one salad, one side dish and 2 entrees our bill with tip was $300. Walking out I just felt like we had been ripped off. The service was fine, the food wasn't. We won't be back.

Currently the decor isn't great but the friendly owner Raj said he would be updating the place over the next few months. Our waiter was new but he was very friendly and provided helpful recommendations. The menu is already large and Raj mentioned that they're looking to add southern Indian dishes to their current northern Indian focus. We had boneless wings, mutton, samosas, and another chicken appetizer. All of the starters were excellent, perfect mild to medium spice level. Our entrees included lamb, mutton biryani, and a chickpea dish. The biryani was a ton of food and the chickpea texture was awesome. We also had butter naan and I added a tasty mango lassi. Apparently they do a solid bar crowd on weekend nights. I would certainly return to try more dishes. Definitely a solid restaurant.

The wine is sold in half or whole bottles (not glasses), so I opted out this time. The menu is a mix of traditional Spanish tapas as well as American and Latin American mixed in. Our original Resy was canceled due to a change in business hours, so we were offered a complimentary dessert. We tried the cheesesteak empanadas, croquettes, bbq pulled pork arepa, garlic shrimp, octopus, short rib gnocchi and finished with tres leches cake. My favorites were the octopus, shrimp, gnocchi, empanada, and tres leches cake. Croquettes were the least favorite, just not exciting, and they were kind of smashed. The octopus was very tender and enjoyed the sauce and sundried tomatoes that came with it. Everything came out at the right temperature and at a good pace to not overwhelm the table with dishes. The restaurant is dimly lit. I found the booth backs to be very hard and uncomfortable - could use an upgrade. Prices per dish are high for the size, but to be expected with tapas in the states. The paella Valencia lacked flavor and the seafood didn't taste fresh, the empanadas were forgettable, and eggplant parm just didn't deliver. Nothing was bad enough to send back, just consistently underwhelming for the price point. Pricing was in line with other tapas spots we've been to, and portions were fair -- no complaints there, this is tapas after all. The issue really came down to flavor and execution. The one bright spot was our server -- super attentive, checked in at all the right times, genuinely nice. Any stars this review gets are for him. The food is still great. We had scallops, chorizo, brussels sprouts, and a flounder ceviche special. Everything was delicious. The ceviche in particular stood out -- fresh, well-portioned, and nicely "cooked" in lime juice. The sangria is still a highlight too. A big carafe, no ice watering it down, served with glasses full of fruit. The problem is the service. They had two servers and one bus person, and it showed. Everyone seemed to be scrambling, and it was hard to get a moment of attention to ask for anything or even be heard. Our food came out in pieces -- three items, then a long delay, then another. The last dish, calamari, never came. When I tried to tell the waiter we didn't want it anymore if it was forgotten, he didn't listen and insisted on bringing it anyway. We ended up waiting even longer, which just made the experience more frustrating. To top it off, they're now adding an operating/service fee (around 3-4%), which wasn't clearly communicated and just showed up on the bill. It's disappointing because the food is still very good, but the service issues -- and now the added fees -- are taking away from the experience. After this visit, we'll think twice before coming back.
