    Cavatelli with broccoli and meatballs

This is the second Christmas that we ordered catering from Natales. It was so good and we received so many compliments from our guests. The meatballs were delicious as was the eggplant rolantini. We also ordered the cavatelli with broccoli and the number one hit was the tray of assorted Stromboli! Everything was delicious. They help me carry the trays to my car and were so helpful on the phone. They also included instructions on how to heat the Stromboli. We order from Natales at least once a week off the regular menu as well. We are already talking about what to order for the best event.

The pizza is fantasitc - perfect for a night when you're just not up for cooking or going to a sit down place. This will be our go to spot for pizza. My partner really liked the penne vodka chicken but it seemed just ok to me. I added some spice at home and it was perfect.

    Zero flop!

When I order pizza for myself, I like extra cheese. And I usually order it well done. Because with all that cheese, it tends to get a little floppy. So I ordered a regular large pizza with extra cheese well done. It was delivered sooner than they said and it was perfect. It was not floppy at all. It may have been the best pizza I have ever had.

A slice of crust with two pieces of pepperoni and almost no sauce or cheese.

Still my go-to pizza spot but I'm a little disappointed the last couple of times I ordered a Sicilian pie they were incredibly lazy with the sauce and cheese and missed a pretty significant amount of real estate on the pie. In fact tonight's had three slices that were 2/3 or worse without any sauce or cheese. It's a little hard to tell from the photos here but look at where the cuts are so you can get an idea of size of the slice and just how little sauce and cheese there is. I like their pizza, I just wish I got what I was paying for.

The saddest slice of margherita pizza one has ever seen.

Pizza is very basic and pricey. Will not be going back and It's too bad because they were very nice.

Staple in town. Pizza is pretty good and their barbecue chicken wrap is sooooo good! Pretty much always guaranteed you see someone you know from town inside. It's a great spot!

Burned crust, seems obvious they left it in too long

I was excited to try Natale's after seeing a picture of their grandma's pizza. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but my family and I were quite disappointed. The sauce was good but the pie was so overcooked the crust was burned in many places and had a tough texture. The fact that they didn't' make a new one after seeing the first one wasn't' right shows a lack of care.

    Inside, limited seating.

One of the best thin crust Pizzas in Waldwick. The service is good and price is reasonable.

Andreas is a local staple in Waldwick, NJ, that serves Italian Fare food. Went here on Thursday July 17th 2025 with my parents and my cousin, and his friend. We made a reservation in case it was busy there, and good thing, because around 7 or so it was starting to get busy! Highly recommend one does make a reservation. Was greeted by a host, who sat us at a table. Duly note, I did feel a little chilly, but always bring my sweater for that reason. The table was set with a wine glass, and a water glass, and silverware. perfect for an eventful dining experience. Our server came over right away and introduced himself. Only con is I really couldn't understand him that well, especially when he stated the specials. Anyways, we started with 5 waters, and some also ordered titos with sprite. My cousin also brought some wine with him- not sure if this place is BYOB (bring your own booze). We started off with Fried Calamari, Tomato and Mozzarella, and Zuccinhi Fritti. Food came out in a timely manner- we also took a while to look over the menu. I enjoyed the Zuccini and fried calamari! Finally we decided what we wanted-- I ordered the Zuppa De pesci, which was pasta with mussels, salmon, calamari, shrimp, and scallops. Some of the other dishes my party got was the scallop scampi, and some veal dish. I very much enjoyed my seafood entree- oh and the salad came with it too! I ate most of my meal, but then also took some leftovers home with me. Oh, and the server didn't quite communicate with me that they box the leftovers, but once i got the message, it was all good. Paid via a gift card, then the balance with a credit card, and left a cash tip. Highly recommend stopping at Andreas in Waldwick! If we are ever in the area again, would definitely go!

The first sign that something felt a bit off came when the hostess--who mentioned she was the chef's wife--presented the specials. She only described appetizer specials, including, somewhat oddly, guacamole and a Greek appetizer. Different, but not necessarily a dealbreaker. Since no entrée specials were mentioned, we assumed there simply weren't any. The menu is huge, not in offerings but rather the shear size of the menu was overwhelming. We were served bread, which was mediocre, and decided to order the stuffed zucchini flowers and burrata to start. Both appetizers were good. However, we were surprised to find that the bill reflected $22 for just four zucchini flowers. I don't mind paying for quality food, but that felt excessive--even for Ridgewood. We also initially received the wrong appetizer, though it was corrected quickly. For our entrées, we had the veal Milanese, which was decent, though slightly over-fried. Later in the evening, when a nearby table was seated, we overheard the dinner specials being described and realized there had, in fact, been entrée specials available. Unfortunately, we were never told about them, and some of the dishes mentioned sounded like options we would have considered ordering. There were a couple of aspects we didn't enjoy. First, the chairs were extremely uncomfortable. Although they appeared upholstered, they essentially felt like fabric stretched over wooden blocks--not ideal for sitting through a meal. Second, while the waitstaff was pleasant, it was difficult to get their attention for things like drinks, and the restaurant seemed understaffed. On the positive side, the hostess was warm and personable, even taking photos for guests, which was a nice touch. As the evening went on, however, the restaurant became quite loud. For a Tuesday night, we expected a quieter atmosphere, but it felt more like ladies' night out.

The hostess (& owner) was terrific as were all the servers. As for the food... it was outstanding! We had the tagliatelle, tortellini special, scallops and pork chop special. All were served hot and were all delicious. If we didn't live so far away, La Lanterna would be a go to restaurant for us. Now, unfortunately, it will be only when we see our NJ friends. (We may need to see them more often!) Bravo!
