Came in for the first time on a Thursday night. Not very busy. The young lady that took my order was very attentive and professional. We ordered a large house salad, a large Margherita pizza and a chicken parm hero. Everything was very good. We asked for thin crust and they made it to order. The split the salad for us in the kitchen and the chicken was very tender. The decor is your typical pizzeria, nothing fancy but still pleasant. The young lady that took our order behind the counter was also the person that brought our food to us. Not sure what the haters were complaining about but we had a very nice experience and will definitely return. read more

I have been going to Ridgemont for over a year and while the food is nothing to complain about, the girl who works the register is always extremely rude and dismissive. I have given them the benefit of the doubt many times, but time after time picking up food, it seems like every moment she spends interacting with the customers is a huge inconvenience to her. Looking for a specialty slice in this area then this is your spot. They have about a dozen different slices to grab from. This has become my go to pizza place when at work and craving the pizza. I have yet to try any of their other food but my guess it would be pretty solid. They get busy at lunch time but I always manage to get a seat. Staff is friendly. read more

Ordered a personal pizza to try it out. It was a small pizza about 8" or so. I believe the charge was around 14 bucks. While the pizza tastes fine, I was hit with a credit card surcharge. There is a small sign near the register, but you barely notice it. It should had been disclosed to me prior to placing the order. I would had paid cash if I knew. The girl said she was unable to refund so I could pay the cash rate. Messed up to charge credit card and debit card fees of 3%. It's part of doing business. I'm a business owner to who accepts credit cards. I do not charge the fee. Will not be going back due to the credit card surcharge... Especially when you pay with debit. read more

I really wanted to try some pizza in this area and my boyfriend suggested this spot that he grew up going to. We got a pepperoni pizza and a calamari salad -- the quality and quantity of both items was great for the price and great quality. I would recommend this place for a quick meal, it definitely seems like a spot for locals and families. Not much ambience or flair to the dining area but that's not really what this place is doing. This was the first and the absolute last time I ever go to this place. First, you walk in and there is no organization. Everyone is standing around and each and every person that walked in asked "did you order already or are you waiting to order?" Second the help are all standing around and talking to each other. Third, the help is nasty with a huge chip on their shoulders. Fourth, their prices are outrageous for the product. Ordered 2 specialty slices, asked for them to be very hot as it was take out. Paid and waited 10 minutes and no pizza. Asked where my food was and was told "oh, the girls just put it in. Why wasn't it put in 10 minutes ago? They took my money in a hot minute. Fifth, they charge a surcharge for a debit or credit and they DO NOT take Apple Pay. I happen to have my card with me but normally I do not since everything is on my phone. I actually would have been better off if I didn't have my card because I then would have left. I have a business and DO NOT pass on any charges from the payment processor to my clients. This is part of doing business. Sixth, after waiting again for the pizza, an employee hands me the box. I ask is it hot to which he responded with a shrug of the shoulder. I opened the box to find out that the pizza was lukewarm, at best. Asked him to put it in and make it hot. Eventually, I got the pizza (2 slices) 25 minutes later. Seventh, the pizza (if that's what you want to call it) had basically no sauce on it. The taste was sub-par and whole experience was negative from moment one. I agree with Charlie D. wholeheartedly...a Stouffer's french bread pizza has more taste. All these people care about is taking your money. They clearly never learned (or care) what "customer service" is no less great customer service. Save yourself the time and money. Your wallet and taste buds will thank you. I've had pizza in 13 states and 3 foreign countries--including Italy. I believe you must either make a superb pizza or deliver a superb pizza experience in order to achieve the Yelp Quattro in this category. Here's a superb pizza experience: wandering in to the same neighborhood pizzeria in Milan as Donatella Versace on a Sunday afternoon and eating your pizza with her bodyguards (ok, so I'm B-list) while watching her knosh in her red spandex bodysuit. Now, that's not on the pizza place, it's on fate, but what the hell, you get the point. Anyhow, before I go too far off on a tangent, let's talk about Ridgemont. I evaluate a pizza on: the quality of the crust, the quality of the sauce (I am a tomato freak, shut-up), and the overall presentation of the pie. I evaluate a pizza experience on: well, was somebody rich and/or famous there (see aforementioned Donatella story or any episode of Behind the Music for examples of either)--or did they take the order effectively and was the pickup a pleasant experience. Ridgemont has it going on in both ways. The crust tastes like a lightly salted Italian bread, not too thin or thick, not too soft or hard. The sauce and cheese are served in an appropriate amount amidst quality toppings. Yum, I say. The people who work there are also friendly and competent. That's hard to come by around here. So, if you live around Park Ridge and want to give yourself a treat, try RIdgemont. Don't expect to solve world hunger or split ends. Just be cautiously optimistic, and enjoy! read more

I would rate this place a 3.5. I've ordered takeout and sat in the restaurant a few times, and I have a good impression of the food, which is the probably the biggest factor in local pizza places. It's a typical pizza place with sandwiches, salads, and various pizza/calzones. I kind of wish that the pizza had more cheese, though that is personal preference and it was not a big issue. The crust is done well (not too hard and not too doughy). I've also had their parm sandwiches, and they were fine. I can't really rate the service or the restaurant experience. When I've been in there, there have been multiple young people manning the counter and behind it (all looking similar so I'm not sure if it's a family restaurant or if they just hire similar-looking folks). The location is in a shopping plaza with Acme, Subway and an office supply store and the parking is fine. Luckily I had a spare set. Mental note, please ask for cutlery in the future. Day 2: penne vodka, soda, small salad. Penne vodka was decent. Again no cutlery (damnit, I forgot to ask on the phone. Wait, why should I have to ask for cutlery on a delivery?). Scrounge around the office looking for utensils. Luckily found someone's (hopefully) unused spoon and used that. Day 3: Specifically request a fork and knife since it was missing the first 2 times. No problem boss. Open my pasta. Cutlery? check. Salad dressing? Nope, sorry. Comeon guys - you get an order for food, you prepare it, and you fulfill it. There's not many steps involved.
