Best Philly cheesesteak ever! And I eat a philly every chance I get.

Incredible food! You wouldn't think much driving by this place with so many restaurants around. And I've found that to be the case with some of the best restaurants in Texas City. Johnny's Seafood is some really incredible food! A co-worker can't say enough good things about the oyster po-boy. But I can't pass on a Philly cheesesteak. This place has, hands down, the best Philly I've ever had! And yeah, I've had some good ones in PA. If anyone knows a better Philly please send it my way. Also order yourself a side of green beans. No restaurant does green beans better! Give Johnny's a shot. It's your typical Texas dive restaurant serving some of the best food you can get. And the prices are very reasonable!

Found out that Alfie's is closed so came here for lunch. I had the lunch special of grilled shrimp, baked potato all the way with a salad and a side of hush puppies. One of the biggest potatoes I have ever had, baked perfect with cheese, at least 2 strips of thick bacon and sour cream. Salad was fresh, big, but needs to be cut up more. Shrimp are medium but very tasty with a good amount of spice. Hush puppies were crispy and flavorful. I don't know about dinner but if you have time for lunch, drop on by. Also, a very nice waitress. Give them a try and Enjoy .

Dad and I had shrimp gumbo. Roux base was very thick. Shrimp were definitely fresh but overall not great gumbo. Cannot recommend the gumbo.

Great food, catfish was fresh and cooked perfectly. Not a high class restuarant, but well worth eating there

The food is excellent and the service a dream! Eat here almost once a week! Try the chicken fried steak or fried pork chops. Yum

The seafood was decent, nothing that blew me away though. We ordered the grilled fish and some appetizers; flavors were okay but a bit underwhelming for the price point. Service was friendly but a little slow considering it wasn't even that packed. The bar area was fun and lively which was a plus. Overall it's solid spot for the atmosphere, but if you're coming purely for the food, you might leave wanting a bit more. Would probably return just for drinks and appetizers.

I…read moreremembered the name Pier 6 from two different group of friends so thought I should look it up and see where it was on the map. Luckily, it was somewhat on the way back so we decided to give it a try. Rolling through San Leon made us question if we were going to the right place. It didn't feel lively and definitely was not giving 'Coastal Chic', like how Pier 6 has been described. Upon arrival, it was a totally different vibe and 'Coastal Chic' is a fitting description for the place. We were seated right away and they offered a high chair for our little one. We started out with fresh oysters and a flight of margaritas. If you're an oyster fan, it's worth getting the oysters. Super fresh. The flight presentation was so beautiful. My husband and I had fun trying the different margaritas. The blue one was coconut flavored. It reminded me of a piña colada but with tequila. We were surprised that we liked this one. The pink one was watermelon flavored. We could taste the smokiness of the mezcal in it. This was a nice, not sweet drink. The white one was their classic take on margarita. We thought this one was too sweet for our taste buds. The orange one was mango and I think chamoy. This reminded me of the Mexican candy Lucas - sweet and tangy. All drinks were finished. LOL Now to the main dishes. My husband had the Mahi Mahi and said the fish was fresh and had a good amount of seasoning on it. The risotto and mushroom was a solid pairing with it. He cleared the dish. I had the tomato salad and clam chowder. Their tomato salad was so good. It was light and refreshing. I love that there were dill and capers too. Their clam chowder is definitely different compared to others I've had. The soup was more like a light creamy broth. The clam is served whole. Oyster crackers were also in it vs served on the side. Even though it was different, I didn't mind it and killed everything. Service was as expected for the time of day. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would make the trip to the San Leon area again. A few notes: Pier 6 does have a kids menu and there's changing table in the restroom, along with some diapers. This place is in between Kemah and Galveston. It's about 15 minutes drive from Kemah and 25-30 minutes drive from Galveston.

The restaurant is super clean and the environment is always welcoming. They greet and seat you pretty fast. My only suggestion is they train the employees more on cleanliness- I watched one of the waiters continuously scratch his head then touch plates and he coughed in his hand. I sat at the bar and never saw him wash his hands. I did tell what I presume to be the manager he went and washed his hands then did it again. It would make customers turn away. But the food is good. I also had the boudain balls and peel and eat shrimp. Both were good!

We finally went through the reviews and decided it was the last day of vacation so we went. It did NOT disappoint. The outside looks a little sketchy for a seafood restaurant, quite honestly, but the inside was nice. You walk in and see several desserts which looked scrumptious. The seating area is very open and easily accessible. Our server was a young kid and very kind. He seemed a bit new as he couldn't answer many questions about the menu, or simply is one of those "read and figure it out yourself" type of servers. I'm sure you know the type. My husband and I both felt like he was maybe "partaking" before work as he was a little apathetic about everything. We ordered the corn dip appetizer which was the perfect blend of savory and spicy. Our toddler loved it. My husband ordered crab crusted red fish and he was blown away. I got the coconut shrimp and definitely should have done the half order. We got a few drinks and mine was pure alcohol, no juice to the point it tasted like I was drinking rum straight from the bottle. For dessert we got booze Oreo milkshakes which were delicious and we were able to take them home. We would definitely be back!

This is great for football/baseball seasons or any major sports event coming up to watch. There was one lady who served us, while also serving several tables. She was definitely highlight of my dining experience. Sweet, attentive, and professional. I ordered the Gumbo and crab cakes to start off with. Here's my take on the food: Gumbo: the spices are there. It has chicken, sausage, okra, celery, and other vegetables inside. However, as you can tell, it didn't have the dark roux like a GOOOOD gumbo does. Nevertheless, delicious and finished the whole bowl but wouldn't order again. Crab cakes: Crispy on the outside which balanced the soft REAL crab on the inside. The squeeze of lemon on top is a must to balance out the savoriness of the crab, and a sweet sauce to complement it was a nice hit! I could taste the mayo of the sauce and eventually decided it was too sweet and heavy with the crab cakes. For entree I ordered 1lb of clam boil and the seasonings and dressing on the side. That way I can control the spice and sauce level, and I honestly loved this idea. It definitely filled me up and I think it's worth the money for seafood! My friend ordered the 1/2 lb Lobster and 1/2 lb shrimp, she enjoyed it and she also agreed she would come back again! The drink menu variety is amazing with special shot deals! This is a place people should come and try out for a weekend night with sports play and some good seafood boil. Highly recommend this place and would come back again!
