Saw a FB post of their $5/lb crawfish, so we came for dinner. The flavor was good, we just weren't fans of the oily instead of juicy consistency and the crawfish shells were a bit hard. HOWEVER, everything else was yummy (seafood Gumbo and fried zucchini). And the star of our visit was Mr. Jaxon. Oh goodness he was such a pleasure and quite the southern gentleman. We felt he went above ang beyond, and you couldn't help but smile at him. After eating crawfish, we were very appreciative he made it happen when we asked for a bowl of warm soapy water for our hands and fingertips. It seemed to have even gotten the attention of and impressed the officer at a table near us bcz he's never seen or heard of that. So even if Jaxon doesn't realize it, others are watching him be the outstanding young man he seems to naturally just be. Next visit, we'll definitely request Jaxon. read more

The saying, "You get what you pay for" is the most accurate statement you can use! Our waiter did say, "well the crawfish is only $4.99". The crawfish was not seasoned at all! I've eaten crawfish here several times before, but this was the worst experience ever! The crawfish tasted like they just boiled them in water with no seasoning and threw Cajun seasoning on top after getting it out of the water. At least boil the crawfish in some crawfish boil...something! I'm torn! Don't know if I will ever return for the crawfish. read more

Service: One is giving it justice. There is no sense of urgency o the waitstaff...it's like a high school social hour. We ordered drinks and another wait staff had to deliver them because our server was absent . We sat in the high-top area just left to the left of the Hostess when you walk in, and the Hostess was uncomfortable looking at us because the service was bad but she didn't do anything but try to look pretty. Food: we could see our oysters being cooked, but it took over 5-minutes for them to be served. The crab boulette was was very bland. Floyd's is close to our house and I distant to drive to San Leon....A big mistake. Pricing is high for the service and quality you get. Hello, fabulous Floyds family! I have been visiting Floyds for many, many years, starting with the Heights location (I believe it went from Floyd's Cajun Shack to the Mardi Gras Cafe, then to Floyds Seafood). I got my parents hooked on Floyd's when they moved to Pearland, and also also converted my sister (who lives in the UK). We make a point to go any time she's in town visiting. While my parents have both passed now, I am still a regular and love so many of the menu items. My weekend tradition is to visit a restaurant for lunch and read for about an hour as I eat and Floyds has always been in my rotation. I could rave about/beg you to bring back the Akaushi steak, or ramble on about the exquisite crab bisque, or the sensational creamy crab dill salmon with asparagus, but this review is about this past Sunday's lunch experience (8/3/25). To give you some context, I recently began chemotherapy for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. What that means is that my immune system is compromised to the point that I can no longer have many of the things I usually eat at a restaurant (medium rare steak, side salads, etc.). Part of my dietary restrictions specify that any steak I order must be cooked at least medium/145 degrees. This was my first Floyds visit since starting chemo and I was blessed to have Anna as my server. I explained how I really wanted the Wagyu steak but there were specific criteria that were necessary due to chemo. She listened to me, she heard what I was saying (especially my half-joking comment about how medium rare is the ONLY way to eat a steak), and assured me that the kitchen would be appraised of the situation. Not once did I feel like I was bothering her, being a pest, taking up too much of her time, being high maintenance, etc. She even took a phone pic of the poster in the kitchen showing the doneness levels/temperatures of steak. When my meal arrived, Anna came back as soon as she could to assure me that the kitchen had verified the temperature before plating it, and asked if it was cooked properly (it SO was). I know it wasn't my usual medium rare steak but it still tasted absolutely amazing. I am firmly of the opinion that there were magic spices involved in the preparation of said steak. Anna continued to swing by my table, never being intrusive, just wonderfully attentive, warm, and caring. I felt like I was dining at a friend's house, not a restaurant. I told her that she was one of the BEST servers I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and that I would ask to be seated in her section the next time I came back. This was a master class in customer service, putting the diner first, and being incredibly gracious with her time. My hope is that Anna and her supervisor(s) get to read this and know what an amazing job she is doing. Because of her service, I can feel confident eating at Floyd's, despite my dietary restrictions/limitations, and know that my meal will be as top notch as the service. THANK YOU! read more

It's one of our seafood go to's. The Cajun ceviche is a must. Of course, so is much of the menu. We go at lunch and dinner probably 3-4 times a month. The staff has low turnover. We recognize them. This is another great Cajun restaurant to visit. They always have specials and the food is very delicious. The service was on their A game. Our waiter was DJ and he gave us excellent service. Ambiance is a family atmosphere and there are always people there. When the weather is good they have a band outside on the patio. I personally do not see the hype about this place. I say hype only because this place has a pretty loyal fan base and a huge parking lot that stays pretty packed at peak times. I came here with a couple of friends to check out this crawfish and some of their Cajun offerings. We came and lunch and were seated right away. After that, customer service was super slow and our server was very unenthused. Usually when that happens, I automatically check out and expect it all to go downhill from there. We started off with a drinks which did come out and cold and tasty. My friend ordered fried pickles to start with. These were the sliced chip variety which I tend to like since I'm not a pickle guy. Not bad. I ordered a shrimp po'boy for my main and it was just ok. The fried shrimp just didn't have much flavor to me and the sandwich as a whole ate very dry. My friends crawfish was small in size and just didn't pack alot of flavor either. Maybe it was an off day, but overall we left pretty disappointed with the whole experience. We have some pretty solid Cajun spots in the Pearland area, so I feel no need to come back any time soon. read more

Two of us had a dinner salad as well and the made in house Thousand Island dressing was fabulous. We had fried green tomatoes to start. The best I had in a long time. Service was great. I live right next to this place.. there's constantly loud, possibly drunk people in the parking lot. As well as people with their trucks reving the engine in the parking lot. I liked when they had live music but it just stopped for some reason, no idea why. I went there once when the had a special going on and the food was good as well as the service. They're a little pricey for my taste but if they could atleast get the live music going again and possibly the other stuff then it would be a great place. read more

However the pick up/curbside window seemed 'off' today, they forgot to give us cocktail sauce, tarter sauce and salad dressing for our shrimp and salad. Disappointing. Went here on purpose to try out the EatDrinkHouston menu that runs through the end of the February at various restaurants in the Houston area. Similar to Houston Restaurant Week, restaurants offer an exclusive menu at a discount price. However what I like about EatDrinkHouston is that proceeds from the menu go to the Houston Food Bank- so designated as a "charity dining event." Since it was a friend's birthday this weekend, I thought it would be a great idea to check out the dining experience and simultaneously celebrate his birthday. After sharing the website, he was drawn to Floyd's menu which had gumbo as a starter-one of his favorites. I called earlier in the week to make reservations since there was a link on the Eat Drink Houston menu to do so, but when it wasn't working, I called and spoke to the manager who statee that they do not take reservations on Saturday. Therefore, we decided to go at 7 to hopefully avoid too much of a wait. Saturday dining wasn't too busy at all. Parking lot was packed but inside there were a few tables available for us to choose from. In fact, we were asked if we wanted a table for two or 4. Although the space for 2 was not spacious at all, the table for 4 for two people was too much space. The tables are wide too, so I felt so far away from my guest. However, having more space is a good problem, so carry on! Our waitress was friendly, but I think she was a newbie. When I mentioned the EatDrinkHouston menu, she stated she never heard of it. I had to emphasize that it was in fact a thing and that I had called earlier in the week to ensure it was available. She decided to ask the kitchen, which when she returned had the EatDrinkHouston menu in hand. I was ready to whip out my phone to show her the 1validity of the event, but that went okay. We were asked about apps and drinks but bot really given suggestions since we did mention it was put first time at the restautant. We were directly told, however that the drinks do not come with the order off the EatDrinkHouston menu. Never would have thought that. It's not Chili's but okay- Understood. Drinks were okay. Stirring them to get to the liquor was adequate for me. My friend had the peach tea while I opted for a hurricane. The peach tea could have been sweeter, but my friend said it was okay. We didn't order any apps, which was a good idea because Floyd's offers complimentary garlic bread. The loaf seed a little burnt on the top but the garlic butter was plentiful along with a nice pillowy crunch that I actually poke from garlic bread. A slice of garlic bread also comes with the bowl of gumbo which had a deep dark roux that I appreciated with some rich flavor. Not too salty, plenty of green onion to give it some color, and rice as well-but the roux could have been thicker to my liking. Still pretty decent compared to anything I would make lol The main course we chose was the crab stuffed shrimp. Three came with the entree along with roasted potatoes and onions, which had a great color and crunch despite roasting, which is hard to achieve in my opinion. I ended up taking a small container of food hone after the meal, so portion size is pretty substantial.The downfall was probably dessert. The strawberry cheesecake only has a glaze drizzled on top and it just made the dessert bitter. Real strawberries- even just one would help balance this taste. The dollar store artificially flavored glaze has to go. Additionally, the beignets were pretty tough. even cutting then were a struggle. The honey helped to consume but I we were ready to go, so waiting for a new order of anything when the two desserts were had were hit and miss was not an option. Maybe should have just sent it back and got a refund, but sucked it this time. Wouldn't necessary drive our of my way to dine here again for just an okay overall experience, but glad our dining experience helped give back to others. read more

Thankfully got to Floyd's before the storm hit. As Jimmy Buffett says, "Give me oysters and beer and I'll stay right here." We sat at the bar and had excellent service from our friendly bartender, Valerie. The oysters were perfectly grilled, excellent flavor, large and extremely tasty. We split a dozen of 1/2 Lafayette and 1/2 Pico. We were both too full for dessert, but will definitely return. We didn't venture past the bar, but there was plenty of comfortable seating, friendly patrons and many TVs tuned to sporting events. We will definitely return! read more

We had grilled oysters to start- recommend the blackened butter ones. For our entrees, my wife had crab cakes and I had Avery's Chicken Fried Catfish. I liked the Swamp Water the best out of the drinks we tried. Everything was good from service to food. Will be back! read more
