We had a great server at this visit, making helpful suggestions and good timing on food delivery. I tried the crab stuffed red fish plus the onion rings. It was nice and hot upon arrival and very tasty. We took home some cheese cake also. I recommend Floyd's, the food is good and it is casual and relaxed. You will enjoy it

Decided to check out Floyd's after hearing good things. The margarita was great & much needed after a long day at work. The bartender was very attentive. My crawfish bisque arrive late & cold. Even after sending it back, it came back warm. The crab boulettes were pretty good. They have so many menu options, I became a little overwhelmed with picking an entrée. I plan to go back & try something else but mainly for the margaritas.

Service was great--we were greeted right away, and the calamari was a solid start. Unfortunately, the $20 shrimp & crab salad missed the mark: five shrimp on a bed of lettuce with what tasted like store-bought crab salad heavy on mayo. Adding dressing only made it worse. I sent it back, and the manager handled it well--apologized and refunded me. I appreciate the service, but I wouldn't order that salad again. 5 star for customer service, one star for the salad

Good food and service. We ordered the gumbo and crab salad and both were delicious. The gumbo could have been hotter but overall the flavor was still amazing. It came with plenty of crab meat and shrimp. You won't be disappointed. The salad was unique and refreshing. Wouldn't definitely order both again.

I'll start by saying our service was impeccable the entire evening, I can't remember the name of our waitress, but she was attentive, kind, helpful, and really did make the evening amazing! Regarding food, I started with lobster bisque, and my wife had a salad. The lobster bisque, I would rate 4/5 stars, as it had a mild smooth flavor, but it was missing something that I just could not put my finger on. My wife enjoyed her salad and ate it all. For entrees, I ordered the beef Wellington, and my wife ordered a wet aged steak. The beef Wellington was cooked to perfection. The pastry was perfect and crispy. Though after tasting my wife's steak I regret not ordering a steak instead. The steak was delicious and seasoned perfectly. For sides, we ordered the brussels sprouts and lobster mac & cheese, the brussels sprouts were not as we expected, they were a bit too wet in the vinaigrette style dressing that they were in which made them too soft, I was hoping for a more crunchy, sweeter flavor and the vinegar flavor was a bit overpowering. I will say though that both my wife and I joked that we would come back just for the lobster mac & cheese. YES IT IS that good. For dessert, we ordered the crème brûlée, which was on the thicker side however, it did have a nice mild flavor. Since it was our anniversary and we noted that on our reservation, the restaurant kindly gifted us a small cut of their desserts on a plate with happy anniversary written in chocolate, which I thought was a very sweet and nice touch. Regarding ambience, my only regret was going at such a busy time of evening. It was pretty loud inside, which made it a little bit difficult to hear each other talk. However, I highly recommend others try this place out or come here for a special occasion. It was a wonderful evening!!

Please read, and don't waste your money like we did.------…read moreWe made a reservation at Killen's Steakhouse to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We had been there before and previously had a good experience, so this visit was disappointing. From the beginning, service felt off. Our table was wobbly, and we did not receive water until after we had already finished the complimentary bread. Our waiter never introduced himself and seemed very inexperienced. The food presentation was also underwhelming. My boyfriend ordered his steak medium well, but it was cooked unevenly -- medium well on the edges and medium in the center. The mushrooms lacked seasoning, and the cocktails looked rushed instead of thoughtfully prepared. Nothing about the meal felt picture-worthy or upscale, especially compared to other Houston restaurants like Bludorn, Perry's Steakhouse, or Whiskey Cake and many other restaurants in the Houston area. What surprised us most was that no manager ever came by to ask how everything was. For a restaurant with this reputation and pricing, we expected much better attention to detail and customer service. We were also disappointed that there was no complimentary birthday dessert. Many restaurants at this price point offer something small to help celebrate special occasions. The only promotion mentioned was signing up for rewards to receive a free dessert after spending $100. Unfortunately, this experience felt more like a casual chain restaurant than the high-end steakhouse experience we expected. We left disappointed and do not plan on returning.

Everyone is usually friendly... I order online without any issues The parmesan crusted items are so good. I also got mashed potatoes and broccoli for the sides. Every single bite in this meal was very delicious, cooked just right, very juicy and tender. The meat was really well-seasoned and you could taste some cumin notes in it. The beefiness and fat were ideal and the profile wasn't too lean or too fatty. It was a little firm, yet, easy to cut. The mashed potatoes were really tasty and buttery with enough salt in them. The broccoli was so thoroughly cooked and moist without being greasy. Each piece was almost melt in mouth tender. The service from my server was very welcoming, friendly, attentive and efficient. The last time I got a takeout of the exact same as Sunday night, but requested the 7-Spice seasoning added to the steak since the actual 7-Spice Strip is no longer available. It didn't have the brown butter they cook with it along with mine being 12 oz as opposed to that special which was also 14 oz from what I heard. It was top notch with a lot of peppery, aromatic taste and a sandy crust on top to contrast the middle. Both sides were top notch like last night and both perfect medium rare inside too. I was quite surprised in a very positive way how Longhorn could easily compete with higher end steakhouses and be better than some good ones for sure too.

My partner had the brisket sandwich with potato salad and a small helping of pickles and pickled red onions and I had the pulled pork tacos. My partner said the brisket sandwich was okay, but we both agreed that the potato salad was fantastic! The potato salad was way better than the one at Pappas Barbecue. The taste of the pulled pork tacos was great, but it was honestly too wet and made the flour tortillas too soggy and there was way too much coleslaw on top. I feel like if Killen's is going to serve pulled pork tacos there needs to be three things done. 1. Serve the tacos with an option of corn tortillas because I feel corn tortillas would've worked better to give a great contrast/pairing with the sweetness of the pulled pork and sauce. 2. Serve the corn/flour tortillas on the side so that they don't get soggy and wet. 3. There are some things that just don't belong on a taco of any kind and that's coleslaw. My partner and I also tasted the banana pudding and to say it was divine is an understatement. What I really like about this pudding was that you could taste real bananas in this pudding and it had been mixed well all together. Our total was $80 after tipping, which is a little pricey for some of the items, but honestly I would definitely come back to Killen's Barbecue when I was in the mood for barbecue.

I was able to enjoy my late night dinner with my husband. We ordered the Kataifi shrimp as an appetizer. They were medium sized served with a spicy tangy sauce. They were very delicious. For my main course I ordered the American red snapper which was also a unique dish as it was served on a corn husk with rice and beans. 3 whole crawfish, a corn and cold salsa verde sauce on the side of the dish.
